I use a Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i). For the past one week whenever Gmail app is opened it shows 'Waiting for sync' and after 30 seconds or so the app closes with the message ' Unfortunately - Gmail has stopped'. I did the settings reset, factory reset and reinstalled the o/s.

I am having real trouble syncing my phone to either Google or Sony ericsson. I would really want to because i would like to download some of my personal messages onto my email address so i can eventually put them onto a disc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSaben, no me gusta tener contactos en la SIM, siempre se pueden perder, romper, te pueden robar el telefono, etc etc, por eso decidi guardar todos mis contactos en una cuenta de gmail y sincronizarlos con mi Xperia Mini Pro, claro, el problema es que en Gmail tengo mas de 8000 contactos, algunos con numero telefonico y otros que no, guardados en diferentes carpetas, he visto que gmail tiene por defecto una carpeta denominada "Starred with Android", sin embargo la sincronizacion la realiza con el total de contactos guardados en la cuenta de Gmail, y el usuario solo tiene algunas opciones en "Contactos para mostrar"... El problema es que cuando ingresamos a "Contactos" en el telefono y realizamos una busqueda, este busca en la totalidad de los contactos (es lo que pude ver) y el telefono se torna extremadamente lento (pues claro, buscar una persona de 8000). En resumen, solo hay opciones para "MOSTRAR" ciertos contactos pero no para elegir QUE carpeta incronizar y cual no.
Lo que quiero saber es si existe la posibilidad de que la sincronizacion de Gmail con el telefono se puede resrtringir solo a una carpeta definida, una carpeta donde pueda guardar 100 o 200 contactos y que el telefono no descargue tanta informacion inecesaria, por ende aumentar su velocidad de busqueda.
I was trying to add my second gmail account to my xperia mini pro. It is running on 2.1 version .As per the instructions in website I tried to add second account from accounts and setting page, after Keying in login name and password , it says it will take 5 minutes but after 2 minutes returns error "can't esablish reliable data connection to server" . My data connection is fine and other apps are able to connect to internet through wi-fi or EDGE without any issue. I tried to write to get in touch with customer care through mail, but unfortunatley no response from them other than auto reply.

I can turn auto-sync or the data off to make it stop, but once turned back out it starts up again. I have deleted most of my newer mail in case there was something bad included with the mail. Not sure what my next step would be. With the phone trying to sync all the time make it slow to respond to commands.
View 7 Replies View Relatedso I've got the google calendar sync set up on the x10 and gotten it verified by the gmail mobile set up.. and the syncing works both ways for future events.. for some reason no past events on the gmail calendar syncs with the x10 calendar..although any events set up in the past on the x10 calendar updates the gmail calendar fine.. does anyone know if this is a "feature" or do I have to set up some personal settings differently? although for the life of me I can't find any settings on the x10 calendar that specifies the length of time the sync should work for!I know this is not a huge issue but I have had to restore from backups cos of various problems with my x10, so everytime I'm having to manually create the past calendar entries (which I use as tracking meaures for various projects I'm working on) on the phone by looking @ the gmail calendar.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought the X10 mini pro simply because I love SE phones and I wanted to have my office e-mail with me where ever I go but I have been so disappointed.It's never been possible tp set up my e-mail on the Roadsync application from Android 2.1 there is this error -1002 that I get any time I try to Synchronize my mails and this is getting me crazy; one of the most important reason I bought the the X10 mini pro - get my corporate e-mails is becoming impossible. When it is connected on WiFi, it does sync all my emails but immediately it is switched to 3G all the mails in the inbox disappears and it's not able to sync again.

The screen only shows my inbox and the messages in it so I can only reply or forward sent messages. I thought that when I set the sync-schedule to once an hour, then the phone would check my gmailaccount for new mails and notify me. I've tested this and the only time I get a notification is when I manually tell the phones mail-client to sync. However, the same is working on the wireless network.I have probably reset my phone to factory settings/repaired the installation atleast 3 times in the past for other problems such as missing entries in call logs, slow response, etc. I am on Anrdroid 2.1 Random reboots happen almost thrice a week and phone response is very slow. - I already deleted updates for Gmail and reilstalled through Google Play store. Didn't work.
- I deleted my Google account and reinstalled. Didn't work.
- In settings > accounts > Google > Synchronize, gmail and calender are set to automatic.
- I also have all the newest Google and Sony updates installed on my phone.
Altogether it seems like there is something going on with my Google Sync, but I cant find out what is it.
I bought a X10 mini/pro on the 10th of December. Was working fine, and yesterday the speaker suddenly stopped working. Can't hear the ring tone while there is an incoming call. Can listen to music through the earphone but not via the speaker. The speaker is dead.

I can use the loudspeaker or handsfree kit but the internal speaker has stopped working. Could it be a software issue or is it likely to be a hardware one?

In the meanwhile I have repaired the software using Sony Bridge for Mac, used an old PC to repair with PC Companion and last tried SUS, but other than deleting my data nothing happened, the screen will not react to touch. The phone is 6 months old and I know there was no physical force or other stress applied upon it between the last time it worked and the moment I realized the screen was dead. It is a SK17a with 2.3.3 Gingerbread and Claro-Branded.
