Xperia Mini/pro :: Gmail App - Waiting For Sync / Unfortunately Stopped
Aug 27, 2012I use a Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i). For the past one week whenever Gmail app is opened it shows 'Waiting for sync' and after 30 seconds or so the app closes with the message ' Unfortunately - Gmail has stopped'. I did the settings reset, factory reset and reinstalled the o/s.

Jun 6, 2010Does the native HTC Mail app in Sense UI, push gmail? Or any other IMAP connections that support the IDLE command? Or does only the native gmail app push gmail? I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.

Jul 15, 2010i am using bb since 4 years. i now switched to bb bold 9700 which has wi-fi and 3g. i need help on following topics, sorry if this is repeat question but i searched all possible solutions on website but remained failed.
1. how to set up hotmail, yahoo mail, gmail accounts along with official company mails which is already set up. important is to received online mails the i am receiving official mails on company account, means it rings when a mail hits inbox, i want the same for hotmail, yahoo mail and gmail?
2. how to play Internet on it, when i click on any Internet video, it asked, do you want to switch to wap to stream the video, when i say yes, it gives error message, if i am on wi-fi connection, even then it does not play any video, simply gives error message.

Jun 11, 2010Every time i go to set an mailbox (i.e gmail) i just enter the password and the device just take me to the screen to choose E-mail (Ovi Mail, Yahoo, Gmail...).. Nothing happens.
I have an iphone and setting an e-mail account was peace of cake. Nokia drives me crazy. I did factory defaults and everything but nothing seems to help. I can access internet by wi-fi and by my operator (successfully browse the WEB).

Apr 24, 2012On my iPhone 4s my gmail account in the native mail app stopped working. This is the second time this has happened.I get a message that reads,"Cannot Get Mail The user name or password for"accountname" is incorrect." I clicked on settings and checked both. They were correct. I got same
error message when I tried again so I deleted and re-entered the user name and password and got the same error message. When I use the Gmail iPhone app or go to iGoogle on my laptop the username and password work fine. I've seen this symptom once before and deleting the account from my iPhone and setting it up afresh corrected the problem.Not this time.Now I get the error message above over and over.

Galaxy S6 :: Gmail Won't Allow Outgoing Mail
Oct 3, 2015I've been using Gmail as the default email on my phone for ages. Today, for some reason, it didn't allow outgoing mail. It said "sending failed", then I got a message saying Gmail stopped activity from this unrecognized device and unsafe app. I followed the url it gave, and selected the option to say that was my device, but it still wouldn't allow it. I went on to Google to see if I could find a solution. I read that I should change my password, so I did. Then I tried to change my phone email setting to have the new password, but it won't let me, saying "authentication failed".
I have scanned my device and uninstalled apps I had recently downloaded, but could this be due to some sort of malware? I have been getting tons of bad popups when I was on fb lately (Congratulations! Your profile has been selected...), as well as fb errors so I'm wondering if this is related?

Mar 15, 2012I upgraded to iOS 5.1, and shortly after, my connection to the gmail Exchange server stopped working, saying: Cannog Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I've tried deleting and re-adding the account, changing my password, and completly restoring my phone, but I still get that message when I try to check my mail. I can, however, set it up as a regular gmail account, and that works just fine. Furthermore, my calendar works when I set up the Exchange account, it's only the mail that doesn't. I can also see all of my gmail labels if I look in my mailboxes, but I can't receive data. What might be preventing my Exchange account from checking my mail?

Jan 18, 2010i just upgraded my Storm to the Bold 9700 a couple days ago. When setting up gmail through the "personal email setup" icon on the 9700, I add gmail successfully. My problems are below:
1. Sent messages from my gmail account on the computer, do not show up on my BB. I found that gmail made the fix to not have them appear in your inbox as new messages, but the sent messages don't even show up with a check mark. I made sure the "Hide Sent messages" option is set to "No" but this didn't fix the problem. Is there any way I can at least view the sent messages with a check mark next to them on my BB?
2. While trying to test out different scenarios, I found that email I send to myself on gmail don't show up on my BB. Is there any way to turn this back on?

Feb 9, 2015After last update my screen doesn't respond when I touch the right hand side of the screen. The only way to type text is in horizontal position. When I try to draw with Sketch app, there was a vertical line in the right side that don't respond on my touch and stays blank. I didn't drop the phone, glove mode is not on, e.t.c.

Jan 23, 2010Basically when i go to my GMAIL folder when i receive emails, it shows no message. But it does appear in Message folder (both folders show the new mail counts). In the GMAIL folder if i change filter to label "Inbox" the new mail is there. The default label for GMAIL folder is "ALL MAIL" though. I don't have any filter setup so I'm not sure why the mail would only show up in Inbox but not in All Mail.

Jun 1, 2012I have set up my iPhone to use my Gmail account, and it works fine when I am using my home wifi or 3G. But when I am at work and connected to my work wifi, I can receive mail, but I can not send mail. It says "Sending..." and hangs there until I get back to 3G or my home wifi. This happens if I configure my mail account using the built in Gmail settings or if I set it up as an Exchange account. I can send emails using the native Gmail app, or using the Gmail web app in Safari. But not if I use the iOS Mail app or Sparrow.
