A slight, yet audible popping sound that you can occassionally hear when using the phone with haptic vibration turned on and in quiet environments. It goes away completely when I disable haptic vibration feedback. It's not a big problem, just a minor annoyance. Still, disappointing considering the price of the phone.

I just received my S6 a few days ago (T-mobile variant). Got the latest update, factory reset it. Lately I've been having some issues with the haptic feedback and vibration when typing or receiving notifications. The haptic feedback when typing will suddenly be really unnoticeable or completely gone. I checked my settings in both keyboard settings and the Vibration settings under notifications and made sure I didn't accidentally lower the intensity. When I adjust the sliders, I can tell that the vibration is considerably less stronger than before.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnder Settings/Sound, I have Vibrate on touch checked. I use SwiftKey and under those settings I also have it checked to vibrate on keyless but still nothing. I tried using the stock keyboard in case it's a SwiftKey issue but that doesn't vibrate either.
I just realized the phone doesn't vibrate at all, even for calls. When I set the ringer to vibrate, it's just quiet. Guess it's a hardware issue.
Is there any information about haptic feedback (vibration) signals on the Droid 4? I have noticed sometimes after adjusting the volume with the side-mounted rocker buttons that I will sometimes experience a double (short) vibrate or a longer vibrate, but it doesn't seem to happen all the time. I have also experienced these feedback signals at other times, and can't figure out what is triggering them or what they are meant to indicate. They don't seem related to notifications or other obvious indications.

Is there a widget or perhaps a link so you can put it on one of the screens.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I complete an action that requires sound (refreshing Twitter, refreshing Blinkfeed, playing a song, typing on the keyboard) there will be this short popping noise afterwards. When I hold the top speaker to my ear after doing one of these actions I can hear something going on in the phone like it's powering on/off or something and then at the end there is this pop noise. I turned off "Touch Sounds" bc that was causing it to happen constantly but there doesn't seem to be any way around this outside of disabling all sounds on the phone.

Some times, when the phone is locked, it will start playing this ticking sound from the back speaker (the one next to the camera). If you listen closely, you can hear the following:
1. The speaker turns on, you can hear static,
2. The speaker turns off abruptly with a "click" sound,
3. The speaker stays off for about 1 second, then starts again from point 1.
This ONLY happens while the phone is locked , and it stops if you unlock the phone. However, once it's started, the only way to stop it is to reboot the phone.
How do I get the immature bubble popping sounds to stop whenever I like something on facebook. I am not 12, I don't think it is cool. I should be able to like a photo of one of my nieces or nephews' kids without annoying everyone around me with that stupid popping sound.

I also hear it not when I swipe up and put in the pattern lock I have, but when the phone unlocks after that when the homescreen comes up. Is this Normal? I swear I didn't hear it before.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAny audio that I stream to bluetooth speakers (Supertooth Disco) or headphones (Jabra Halo) has a lot of static and an occasional (and very annoying) popping sound. I've tried a few different programs both streaming audio and playing directly from the SD card. I have also tried using airplane mode to see if the other radios were causing the interference. I turned off all audio effects/EQ in the control panel as well. Everything sounds great wired directly to the speakers and my old phone doesn't have the same problem over bluetooth in the same environment.

Edit: yes, the first thing I did was go into the settings and do that, but it doesn't work for texting or whatsapp messages and I don't know how to turn it off for those. I don't mind the vibration when it rings.
My phone is Neo V, I have just upgrade to 4.0.2.A.0.62 and found that cannot disable function Haptic feedback (Vibrate when pressing soft keys and on certain UI interactions). This function is fail, when i touch any number to dial or edit message, the phone vibrate, cannot disable it.

How to disable vibration and sound in messaging app?
When you unclick the vibrate option in notification settings in the stock messaging app, it won't vibrate when you receive a text if you set your phone to vibrate mode.
I don't want my phone to vibrate and make a sound with volume on when receiving texts, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have it vibrate only when in vibrate mode and make a sound when in sound mode without vibration.
Other apps like groupme allow you to separate vibration and sound mode, but can't in the stock messaging app...
i was wondeing if anyone could me with the haptic ( tactil) feedback for the security lock and keyboard, ive went into settings and turned both on, and still.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the W995i, but when ever it vibrates, it’s sounds so cheap and poor and sometimes the two parts of the phone (which slide) vibrate against each other. Trying it with other handsets, the result is a much nicer sound and feeling. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like tinny and horrible. Does anyone else have this problem? It was second hand off ebay.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought two iPhone 4S.. but one of it has a loud buzzing sound during vibration mode but the other one is perfectly fine..I bought it from Maxis center.Went to maxis center to ask for an exchange but they couldn't exchange a new one for me. They said if they were to send the phone back to Apple, I would probably get back my same old buzzing phone because it wasn't hardware error.Is there any other possible way to exchange??

when I receive a text, there is no sound, no vibration and no alert on the main screen. The only way I know I have a text is if I go into my inbox and see the little red or see the flash.Ive read that maybe deleting all my messages would help but I really don't want to lose them all.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Vivaz no longer alerts me when I get a text, there is no sound or vibration, it is not on silent mode and I've checked in my message settings the volume and that a sound is supposed to play when a text arrives. The envelope that used to show at the top of the screen when I received a text no longer appears either. The only way to know if I've got a new message is to go into my inbox where it appears; the side of the phone will then flash but still no sound. I ran a software update, then a reset and software update, but neither have made any difference. Also am I able to transfer my existing texts to the memory card so I don't lose them if I have to get it all wiped?

It vibrates when i get a call and when im using the keyboard but not when i get a notification. I have the vibration for notifications turned on but it doesnt seem to affect anything. It interrupts all/any apps and there is no way to close it when it appears. It will stay on the screen for about 5 seconds before disappearing again.I have recently had to do a complete reset of the phone because of other issues and now this is even more frustrating than they were.
