I have had several issues with my z5c since i bought it 6 days ago. One of the issues is the random reboots. It has happened twice today. The latest was 2 minutes ago when it restarted just lying on the table. This is not an overheat issue since I don't even touch the phone.
I bought it in sweden. It is black with the build number 32.0.A.4.11
Had my Z5 Compact for bit over 2 months now and 'fairly' happy with it (miss some stuff from my Z3 - like proper battery life but oh well )
My problem right now is probably more related to the software from Android, than from Sony 'but' I had a software update a couple of days ago, which apparently completely wiped the automatic dictionary (it's called "my words" in Danish, not sure in English if it's called something else but it normally automatically adds words I use a lot) which was a bummer but I've seen it before. The problem is that now I can't 'manually' add any words, and it's also not adding a single word even though some of the words I use in almost every single message I write!! I can't just have it learn from my text messages or Gmail, as I don't use either - I almost only use Facebook and Hotmail.
I just purchased a new Z5 Compact and have found that when making a call using the speaker phone / handsfree option the person on the other end of the call hears the echo of their speaking. Its like what is coming out of my speaker is being picked up by my microphone and sent back to the other party with a slight delay.I have seen other posts in a similar vein.I like to use the handsfree speakerphone option for calls a lot and this is a big problem for me.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince the latest lolly update, the "chat service" has disappeared as an option from the stock messaging app. The one where your texts were coloured yellow if they were being sent over the internet rather than an SMS. This is very frustrating, as I was just extolling the virtues of this feature to my wife who has the Z3C, I have the Z3. She raves about What'sApp you see. Now "Chat" is gone! It's not even in the settings menu as "enable chat service" anymore... Have deleted data from app etc to no avail. It has gone from both our 'phones BTW.
View 9 Replies View RelatedBought the phone 2 days ago and I've been experiancing a serious problem since I updated to the latest version (32.0A.6.200).
When answering to or making calls the screen will go dark when making or reciving a call and will stay that way until the other side hangs up (since I can't do anythin with the dark screen). Here are the things I've checked:
1) Diagnostics of proximity sensors are fine.
2) Screen protector onoff has no effect on the issue.
My Z5 compact while receiving a call has very loud ringtone volume only for about 1 second, than it drops by around 60%... The same issue occurs while listening to music on speakers, it is loud for 1 second than volume drops... It is not caused by any setting I think.

It have crystal sounds, great mp3 player, videos are so cool as well and the camera not to mention is awesome as well. One day I was at my grandma to help her with some stuff, and while listening to radio I was wandering, why zylo can be radio and have radio antennas, but not being mini TV and not have some sort of antena for television? I searched a lot on google to find out for any sort of telephone having TV with antenna or something, and I came out with this thing called "TV Tuner".
I searched a lot about Zylo if can have it or if I need to buy it and implement it like the recharging thing but still no clue. Then I searched only if any sony ericsson have at all this TV Tuner thing and I found only those "X10i" and "SO903i". So the big question is, why Zylo can have such clear videos(I convert movies or videos to small format and send them to memory card), but no TV at all? Is there a way to implement it or to make a tuner for people like me, which need to watch the sport, news and such after having a break from driving a car or bike on long distance. I hope such thing can be made and sold, this will be awsome to buy and have!
i tried to update my curve but now it keeps rebooting and then saying linking java and the rebooting again. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop software but i cant because it keeps rebooting.

It was purchased in Nanjing,China for 5000 yuan on 19-Nov-2010. It hasn't given me any sort of problem till now. I came back to India 2 weeks ago and since then it has been crashing non stop. After reading all the complaints of fellow users on the website and consumer.complaints.in, it's very sad to see that Sony Ericsson has manufactured such a defective piece that I no longer wish to acredit it with the quality that it claims to have. 36000 rupees is what it costs and it works worst than Nokia 1100.How is it that a phone with a 1 GHz processor fail so many times. It seems that people worldwide have the same problem after the 2.1 update.

Its a xperia 8 and i only bought it 2-3 months ago but its haveing some problems. for about a month now its been making the sd card removal noise for no reason that i can tell and the battery has been running out pretty quickly (although this might because its searching for signal as my work doesnt have the best reception) with the battery being full when i start work and empty or next to when i grab it from my locker even 3 hours later. this wasnt so bad cause i just turn it off when im at work untill recently when it started going really slowly taking minutes to open simple apps. and about a week ago it stopped turning on propperly altogether. when i turn it on it starts up as usual and as soon as it gets to the main screen the screen goes black and it tries to start back up again 30 secs or so later.i have found out that it will actually stay turned on when i turn it on when the power is connected to it but this makes it im-mobile (kinda defies the purpose). un the power cord isnt sitting right in it as it keeps starting and stopping chargeing (although its been doing this since i bought it, wasnt such a problem as it gets a full charge by the mourning anyway) which stops be being able to keep it turned on long enough to do a system reset or anything that i can think off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought my Xperia Pro today and so far my experience with it has made me very disapointed.
First start up, everything looks ok, trying to conect to WiFi and... gets stuck there and fails to connect. I thought maybe I just needed to update the mobile phone and it was fine so I did exactly that. Since then, my new Xperia Pro just keeps randomly restarting for no apparent reason. I've tried repairing it using PC Companion but same effect. SIM card is new, goten same time has the mobile phone.
I seem to be having some major problems when connecting my x10 mini pro to my pc via usb also my phone just seems generally problematic since the update to Android 2.1.The phone becomes inoperable if on whilst charging via the lead and plug but it would normally connect to my pc without issue and the update to Android 2.1 also executed without any hitches.Now every time I connect my phone via usb to my pc the phone just keeps rebooting.Firstly I am prompted by phone to either connect to pc or charge phone (which is normal) I connect to pc: so my phone and memory card content is available in explorer.Suddenly my phone freezes and reboots, so I again connect to pc and the same thing happens. This just goes on pretty much in a loop.Occasionally I am able to view or add/retrieve files until the phone decides to reboot again. Also when my phone has been disconnected from my pc, some time after it will just suddenly reboot all by it self.

The Album can't be open because if u do it freezes and crash, sometimes even make the phone restart and you can't acess any content besides the config.
Netflix have some weird lags too, and sometimes when i receive i call, the led blinks, the smartband vibrates, but the phone freezes, and restart.
Sometimes the Camera app and File Commander crashes too. But sometimes, it starts fine, and if u don't reboot or turn it off, will work normally
i already tried to reset to the factory (In the Phone and by the Computer), remove the SD, clear cache from the apps, uninstall the antivirus, install the antivirus, uninstall all apps, boot in safemode...
To me, really sounds like a software problem... Sometimes it doesn't recognize by the PC when i connect, it only recognize if is working normally.
I got a new phone. It's Xperia Z2. It's almost new and it is already randomly freezing and rebooting. I've already tried soft resseting, hard resseting, factory data reset and repairing with PC companion.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new Sony Xperia Z3. The problems I am experiencing are that all sony default apps crashing and some other apps aswell. Apps that have crashed are; the contacts app, the messenger app (not facebook), the homescreen app, the album app, the walkman and the movies app.
When they crash I get a message saying Unfortunately "app name", has stopped. The only way to make the app working again is to reset the phone. This happens quite often which is surprising since the phone is new and its a flagship device.
The second problem I am experiencing is the phone randomly resetting itself, this happens about once per day. I believe the reason for the random resets are the crashing apps. I think that because when I was using my phone all apps suddently crashen, then the phone just reset itself twice before it was usable again.
Since 3 days when I am using my phone it suddenly reboot and yesterday. I updated to lollipop 5.0 it rebooted again what is the problem....

After updating I turned on my phone and it started optimizing with my apps and that went well too. Then I was browsing through my phone's settings option and went to tethering and wifi hotspot option and turned on the bluetooth tethering. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my Z5 for a few weeks, and it has been great. In the last day or so it has started to reboot every few minutes. I've spent today trying to debug it with logcat (through adb).
It looks like as soon as the phone tries to go into a lower power state, it crashes and reboots. I've gone through a number of logs, and I thought it was an issue linked to bluetooth, but disabling bluetooth or going into airplane mode didn't work.
The phone is fine when it is being used, or when it is charging it is only when it is idle for about a minute (or less) and all background activities have finished (such as a sync for an app) does it reboot.
For example, listening ot music or a podcast and the phone is fine for hours. But if I stop it, even if it remains connected to the bluetooth device, it crashes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have gone through every solution given, every method that were suggested and still it is rebooting randomly.
The rebooting occurs randomly, it can happen when I'm using the phone, it can happen when I'm not using the phone, it can happen when I charge the phone. But sometimes it work just fine. The most days I have gone without the phone randomly rebooting is 2 days.
I also noticed that before the phone starts to reboot, the screen will freeze and the back will heat up. During the annoying reboot, the phone can be hot. I think this has to do with the battery, but I am not entirely sure since I don't know what I'm dealing with. The most irritating part during the reboot is, the cellular network will not work and when it stops rebooting, the cellular network stay to not working. (My phone is unlocked and I know this because I have been using the phone with 3 different network in the past). The only way for me to get the cellular to work again is to wait for the reboot again or try to manually rebooting the phone several times until I get the network to work again.
It keeps restarting to the LG screen, and wont turn on fully.

I have been told by Telus that it is a hardware issue... but I am now on my 3rd unit and find it hard to believe that it's that. My friend (who works at rim) and I are starting to think it's actually a problem with the backups. So I thought I would find out who else was having this issue... and maybe see if we can find something in common we all have.
If you have a 9700 that's not rebooting feel free to comment as well. That can help us as well!!

Is this your first berry. If not what did you have before.
Did you add your contacts/email using a backup
If yes, did you do a full restore or custom.
When adding your BBM contacts did you use the remote backup, or your backup.
Do you notice the restarts happen at an specific times? Doing specific tasks?
