I'm not sure if this type of post goes here so I'll keep it as short as possible. I've had my new Xperia for a few weeks and it was already getting cluttered by unneeded apps. So I backed up all my photos and contacts and factory reset my phone. Now my phone won't use its 4g lte capabilities. (My provider is Verizon)
View 4 RepliesI have problems connecting to my ps3 controller wirelessly. Every time I connect it using USB OTG then follow the steps, it says you can now connect wirelessly. But after removing the cable, my z2 cannot locate the ps3 controller. I have followed the steps on youtube, sony support site and even searched google. All have same intsructions. Tried it multiple times but still same issue.

friends my neo v is not connecting thru usb whether its mtp mode or mass storage mode...i done a wipe date/factory reset through CWM recovery after that this problem occurred .
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new 1020 doesn't seem to connect to my PC. My 920 connects just fine, I plug it in, I hear the USB connection sound and the app pops up. But my 1020 on the same cable, nothing. The Device Manager doesn't even pick up that anything is there, though the phone does show that it's being charged. I know it's not the cable, and b/c my 920 works it's probably not the PC. I'm worried b/c I installed 8.1 on both my phones and technically that voids the warranty. So if this is a bad device, I may be screwed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem for the longest time now. My s6 refuses to connect to any pc. My first laptop had windows 7 on it and the s6 would successfully connect to it. That laptop is no more and i upgraded to a new one with win 10 installed on it. This laptop along with 2 others windows 7 completely refuses to connect to my phone. I think i have tried every "solution" but nothing works. My phone is rooted with a custom rom and the fast charge also refuses to work. I need to be able to connect to windows so i can reinstall the original firmware for a warranty exchange. Yes, i have all sumsung drivers installed, i have the original cable (and more), i tried smart switch, it still doesn't work.

I then went to settings>>>host routing table in order to activate the blackberry service and I registered but still the phone wouldn't connect. I checked the connections and for both the blackberry internet service and the enterprise service are not connected.

When I connect the HD to my phone, it recognizes that a new USB drive is connected. Unfortunately, it only sees 196 MB. I loaded the HD with my iTunes music files, and hoped I could access them using my phone, as I have more files than will fit on my iPod. Unfortunately, I can't see any of the files, and my file manager says there are only 196 MB in the drive.

My computer recognises the hardware but the pc connectivity software from sony is utterly useless in syncing with the PC and I cant find any help of Sonys website.
Ive reinstalled software, turned off fire walls etc. Further to this, I cant find any link to get my contacts from Windows Contacts Calendar onto the blasted phone.
My old Nokia is disconnected, but the X10 wont talk to sync with it by bluetooth even though they can see each other.
I hope Sony are reading this stuff and see why people keep buying Nokias.
i bought the x10 3 months back,works like a charm.but today i used the usb cable to connect my cx10 to my PC,it wont show the "Mount" "Dont Mount" screen when the top application bar is dragged down.I connected the x10 to my laptop(vaio W series),it still doesnt connect.THERE IS NO NOTIFICATION ICON ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE SCREEN TO INDICATE THE PHONE IS CONNECTED.BUT P.S note,the battery charging icon is on when i do this.SAVE ME.I USE THIS CABLE TO TRANSFER FILES TO & FROM ALL THIS WHILE.So,no talk of this cable not being able to transfer files
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy monthly charges appeared to be including extra for internet charges, which I was having a time understanding because I believed I was often accessing the internet by wi-fi and therefore avoiding charges at those times.However, thinking back I now realise I was not only turning-on wi-fi but also enabling data traffic ... my logic was that wi-fi created the link, data-transmission enabled its use.Having thought things through, am I right in thinking that this is mistaken, that these two are independent means of connecting? that enabling data traffic will lead to connections via system and will therfore incur costs if going over allowance, whereas enabling wi-fi will connect to the net at hotspots, home/ office wi-fi, etc where present? I don't need both together?that I can leave data traffic turned off and connect fine by wi-fi where there's a service available, and turn-on data traffic if I need to connect where there's not a wi-fi service present?

1 Make sure Media transfer mode is enabled on your phone. It is normally enabledby default.
2 Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
3 Computer: Once the phone name appears on the screen, click Networkconfiguration and follow the instructions to pair the computer.
4 When you are finished pairing, disconnect the USB cable from both devices.
The above instructions only work if Windows® 7 is installed on your computer and the computer is connected to a Wi-Fi® Access Point via a network cable. (i have win7 x64 and my PC is connected to the Wi-Fi router via LAN)The problem is i can't get past step 3, as soon as i connect my phone to the PC the PC Companion recognizes it and there is no Network Configuration options availible like the manual said there would be. When i go to the Connectivity settings it says "No trusted hosts". Do i need to port-forward some port, If yes i know how to do do it, but i don't know which port.
Is there a way to prevent phone from connecting to GPRS automatically? I'm using Nokia E51. I surf the internet via 3G. But occasionally, when the 3G network is not available (like in tunnels), the phone automatically connects to GPRS.Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had comcast POP3 email set up and working on K9 email since the phone came out. It has suddenly stopped working on my LG G4. My other 6 email accounts are still working perfectly on K9 (yahoo, att, iCloud and mindspring).
I can still download email normally on my Mac using MacMail. I can still download email on my Droid2 using the default email app (don't ask - I keep it to troubleshoot and play games).
I have installed and tested the default LG mail app, MyMail and they don't work. There have been comments on other email apps that they are not working.
Xfinity Connect works from my LG G4, but functions as a IMAP connection, and deletes email from the server when deleted on the phone, which is obviously NOT what I need.
When I drive around my phone tries to connect to any available wifi networks and annoys me with pop-ups asking me whether i want to do that.
Once i say no, it still takes around 30 seconds or a minute for the browser or other apps to start working because it still thinks its on wifi.
How do i stop it from trying to connect to other networks.
I can always manually turn off wifi but then i forget to turn it back on and start using my data when watching videos. I am on a verizon network.
I looked in the wifi advanced settings but i dont see anything...
My GS6 is not connecting as a BT media player in my car. I have a 2010 Lexus IS250 with the stock head unit.
The phone connects and I can make and receive calls via the in-car bluetooth.
However, it's not connecting as a media player.
I've repaired several times and have paired separately as a media player and phone but it won't keep the BT media player pairing.
I just upgraded from S2 to S5 and realised that unlike my S2, the S5 doesn't find the devices I want to use like my car bluetooth handsfree or my Phillips bluetooth headset. Is there a setting that I am missing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having some major problems when connecting my x10 mini pro to my pc via usb also my phone just seems generally problematic since the update to Android 2.1.The phone becomes inoperable if on whilst charging via the lead and plug but it would normally connect to my pc without issue and the update to Android 2.1 also executed without any hitches.Now every time I connect my phone via usb to my pc the phone just keeps rebooting.Firstly I am prompted by phone to either connect to pc or charge phone (which is normal) I connect to pc: so my phone and memory card content is available in explorer.Suddenly my phone freezes and reboots, so I again connect to pc and the same thing happens. This just goes on pretty much in a loop.Occasionally I am able to view or add/retrieve files until the phone decides to reboot again. Also when my phone has been disconnected from my pc, some time after it will just suddenly reboot all by it self.

Under the "SD card & phone storage settings" it shows 1.8 GB under "Total Space" when the phone is not connected to a PC/USB. As soon as I connect the phone to my PC using USB the status of the SD Card shows "Unavailable" both under "Total Space" and "Available Space".
I have tried removing and re-inserting the SD Card.
Also the PC's File Browser shows the drive as a CD Drive (G:) but when you try and open it says "Please insert a disk into drive G"
Worked fine earlier (about an hour ago), red light comes on when attached to USB but won't charge. I've already tried changing USB ports, charging phone via mains, taking battery out and everything else i can think of!
