Xperia Z2 :: Unable To Delete Some Apps After Lollipop Update
Jul 10, 2013After I updated my Z2 to lollipop today, I moved some app's to my sd card. I was not aware that it was not working properly.
Later I saw that the app's I moved cannot be opened or even deleted and when I reinstall them again they don't even show up. I have attached a screenshot also.

Well, This has to be a basic feature of a smart phone (infact, any phone)
if there is a number being displayed on the screen ... USER CAN MAKE A CALL TO IT.
But unfortunately NOKIA has failed to provide this BASIC FUNCTION.
Is there any hope of getting this BASIC feature in next update?

My phone is encrypted and it didn't ask to unencrypt before applying the update, so I assume this is the reason it failed. So, installed the latest PC Companion on my Windows 7 laptop, it tells me that I'm on the latest version (connected via USB)... so... what now?

May 8, 2015My Xperia Z3 Dual with KitKat had 2 buttons on the dialer app, one for dialing with SIM#1 and one for dialing with SIM#2. Now with the Lollipop update the dialer app no longer has this 2 buttons, and when I dial a number and then tap on the "send/dial" button it does not ask me to choose the SIM I want to use, it automatically uses SIM#2.
When I tap on a contact a pop-up window ask me to choose the SIM card, but when I dial from the T9 pad this doesn't happen, it directly uses SIM#2.

Jul 3, 2014I was excited to receive my e-mail yesterday regarding my available Lollipop Z2 update availability. Sat down, opened PC Companion on my Windows 7 laptop, made a backup for settings (no photos or apps), and then proceeded to receive the update.
PC Companion asked me to keep phone disconnected and that it would notify me when to connect (nice too)...
I started the download, but apparently the laptop went into sleep mode (not plugged to wall), which was another reason not to have phone connected (battery drain due to Z2 charging until 100%)
The rest is blurry, but when I woke the laptop up, it stopped downloading at 51% and kept extending the duration timer.
Proceeded to restart the laptop, but when I attempted to connect the phone... nothing. It charges fine, but is never detected by laptop. The Wireless Media Transfer option was still working, but it would refuse to download Update (as if USB connection was needed). Tried installing on another PC (with admin priviledges) and no go.
Phone never started update... works perfectly with that exception. MTP, MSC, USB Debugging, nothing works). Helium doesn't work. Nothing!!!
The Lollipop update was not destructive (no erasing of phone data), but it seems that I will probably need to reset phone.

Sep 6, 2012I wish Sony Mobile would revert from their stance of not offering the global equalizer setting by default to all apps. Before Lollipop landed the Clear Audio + setting applied to all apps including YouTube, Walkman, Radio Tunes etc. However, after lollipop landed this setting has been moved to an exclusive setting that App developers have to specifically code for. This situation is not acceptable as if they enabled global support for the EQ then if one simply wishes to turn the EQ off they can do so in the sound settings. Now accept for a few music apps you have no option to use Sony Clear Audio + sound enhancements which is sad. The phones output volume is not that loud which makes this EQ settings important to give that extra punch in the music. To me this decision is a deal breaker as Samsung and Microsoft have the global EQ enabled. Sony's decision makes no sense to me and it ruins what would otherwise be the complete experience on the Z2.I am considering a Lumia currently but would like to stick with my Z2 if there is hope of resolving this issue soon.

Feb 26, 2015I have a folder with some icons that I hide in gallery. I updated one of the pictures and wanted to show it again and gallery will not show it.
If I go into gallery and click on hide/show album that album shows with a check mark. I click on done and it displays something like hide/show was applied. However, the album never displays.
I have tried deleting the album and putting it back and it will not display. But if I change the name of the album in file explorer it shows. Is there any way to get the original folder to appear in gallery?
Xperia Z2 :: Screen Burn While Pressing Power Button After Lollipop Update
Apr 8, 2015I would want to bring an issue to Sony's and all the Z2 users' notice that I am trying to observe a display burn in issue on pressing the power button while unlocking the phone a lot of times and this usually happens when I have set the brightness to adaptive. When I press the power button to unlock the screen, the colors burn for a second and the backlight comes to life with all the real colors the next second.
Its been happening quite a lot now and now I am atleast able to figure out that adaptive brightness is the culprit here. I am not sure is this another bug that sony needs to fix in lollipop or what it is? But just to mention, I have recently clean formatted my phone using the repair phone method on Sony PC companion and it has not worked to solve this issue. Lollipop is seriously making life bitter in a lot of ways than being sweet atleast for Z2 users like me. We would love to see the almost flawless Z2 back as it was on Kitkat 4.4.4.
