I have sony z3 dual. My screen freezes all the time.what should i do. I applied the last software update today..was so happy that ussd code error got solved. But now this screen error.. So many errors after updates.. When I try to call screen blinks and volume is still very low and..etc ....
View 3 Replieslast two days i got my new z3 devise my first android handset after update i experiensed two problem first was the blank black screen and the notification and quick setting panel was not sliding properly so i decided to reinstal android using sony pc companion after update i switched my phone itkeep restarting continuously every time start installing progams it show customizing apps and then restart and do the same finally i could fix it when i got my 64gb sd card out of phone and switch it on, it work good with no issues.

View 7 Replies View RelatedNoticed since the Lollipop update that if you spend some time in an app and then return to the home screen, it needs a second or two to redraw everything? It's like the phone isn't keeping the home screen in its memory.
The same for actual apps, too. Every single time I return to Chrome, it needs to reload the page. Or if I open, say Gmail, it's not as quick to open and needs an extra second or two to load up.
I was using Nova Launcher and switch to the stock Google Now launcher thinking it would solve the problem, but no dice.
I updated my phone to lollipop two days ago. The phone is changing the background as it is charging.

When I connect to PC with USB Phone is detected but I cannot access phone or SD Card. PC Companion cannot detect anything.As for incoming Calls people say they get message as mobile switched off.I feel sorry that I did not go thru discussions in this forum before buying this costly mobile.Can I get free replacement or can I have different model in place of this mobile?I am ready to pay the difference of price if it is on higher side.

Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to Lollipop 5.1, I noticed my screen is blank after using any app (messaging, GMail, etc.) and it won't come back. Calls and texts and other notices come (can actually answer calls and see the call screen) through, but home screen and any adjacent screens are all black. The status bar and icons are visible though and I can use the pull down menu. It's as if it is refreshing but never gets to the end. I installed many apps, even used a stock wallpaper), but it still will do this. I have to keep rebooting until it eventually stops; I check it by using a random app and seeing if I can see the screen by pressing the Home button. I also wiped the cache partition after the OS upgrade.

If i try to unlock i see a blank screen with the backlight on. Unable to access homescreen at all. If i leave the phone for sometime and then if i try unlocking again it works fine. Having this problem with latest version available in my country (4.0.4). I tried reinstalling the firmware using update service still no effect.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI would want to bring an issue to Sony's and all the Z2 users' notice that I am trying to observe a display burn in issue on pressing the power button while unlocking the phone a lot of times and this usually happens when I have set the brightness to adaptive. When I press the power button to unlock the screen, the colors burn for a second and the backlight comes to life with all the real colors the next second.
Its been happening quite a lot now and now I am atleast able to figure out that adaptive brightness is the culprit here. I am not sure is this another bug that sony needs to fix in lollipop or what it is? But just to mention, I have recently clean formatted my phone using the repair phone method on Sony PC companion and it has not worked to solve this issue. Lollipop is seriously making life bitter in a lot of ways than being sweet atleast for Z2 users like me. We would love to see the almost flawless Z2 back as it was on Kitkat 4.4.4.

after updating ICS and I had some problem bout the screen because after 20 seconds idle status then I pressing now the home or power button the screen become blank..efore u enter the lock screen u had to press power button 6 times or more than...I'm so dissappointed cause everytime I had a call I didn't see who are calling I had to press more than six times the power button to show the screen
View 9 Replies View RelatedWoke up this morning and hit the home button on my iPhone, only to have the screen flicker white and then turn off. I tried pressing the home and sleep buttons, with no luck. In the fist five minutes, the screen flickered white 3 times but then proceeded to a dark screen and has not turned on since.
I have attempted soft and hard resets like some other users, but the screen is still blank. I even put the phone into recovery mode and attempted to get it running with iTunes. I re-installed 3.1.2, but no luck. The sleep button is pretty iffy, and requires you to hold it down in certain positions to get it to work, so it has been hit or miss to get the phone into recovery mode.
Two weeks ago, I reformatted the phone, updated to 3.1.2, jailbroke and unlocked the phone with blackra1n, with no problems in functionality.I also tried re-installing from a backup. I get vibration notifications in conjunctions with emails (since I see them on my laptop at the same time as the vibration), so I know there is some functionality, I just can't see anything. There is no passcode on the phone either.
My guess is the LCD went out since resets and recoveries have not been able to bring anything back on the screen. I'm about to order a new screen, I just wanted to confirm that I'm taking the proper next step.
I have a 9810 running against BES. Emailed PDF files are easily opened but when you select (menu or pinch) zoom, the screen goes to black. This will happen about half the time. Escape or exit key will bring you back to the email. I have a question: I recently my Xperia mini pro (the internal name is K17) get back from a repair process. In this mechanical keyboard is repaired, the way the phone is about 5 months old. After I get back the phone, I've been updating it with PC Companion to the latest Android 4 ICS, which is offered by SE here in Germany. After the update I now have the problem that the phone at least once a day, usually several times the system or maybe the screen seems to freeze. Mostly it reacts no more (the screen stays black), sometimes you can press the power button and the lights of the back and menu button lights up (the screen is still black). Only removing the battery bring the phone back to work again. After a quick phone call to the Supporthotline from SE I performed again with the PC Companion a repair installation with the Android 4 ICS. This has not solved the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it? Is this a hardware problem with the screen or is it the ICS update? Is there an official way back to the 2.3 Gingerbread Stock ROM without send in the phone to SE again and without losing the warranty?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 has a blank screen and cannot be powered off using the normal (top) button. Pressing the home button has no effect, and the screen remains black. The phone is charged and can make calls normally using a bluetooth hands free kit in my car. Photos can be downloaded using Image Capture, and music and apps are visible in iTunes. iTunes tells me that the phone can't be restored until Find my iPhone is switched off in iOS iCloud settings - which can't be done as the screen is inaccessible!

I have an iPhone 4 running 4.01. I have five blank (white) icons on my home screen named: iPodOut, WbbSheet, TrustMe, DemoApp, AdSheet. They open to a black or white screen, then close. They can be moved to a different page, but can't be deleted. I don't know how they got there, but I'm guessing that they are Jailbreak and/or Cydia related.
