The notification LED keep blinking with purple color while the screen is off, and I'm sure there's no application with that notification color. How could I know which application is using that color?

Usually when i receive a notification when my phone screen is off the led light blinks blue, but its blinking a yellowish green. (This happens just for Android Central and Windows Central)

I have an app which means I can change the colours, but the thing I have set to this colour is texts and I definately don't have a new text. My LED is turned off for Bluetooth and I don't know what else it could be! It's been flashing for over 12 hours now!

My phone is still in warranty but in the official site it is registered as "missing warranty".
I've had two Atrix phones since March of this year. The first one was replaced for an issue unrelated to the topic of this post. Both of these devices demonstrated the following behavior:
Approximately every 15 to 25 power cycles, when the Motorola logo starts to animate the phone's LED will begin to blink in one of several colors. It stops blinking when the Motorola logo disappears. The blinking color is most often violet-purple. However, on at least three occasions I've seen it blink light blue and on one occasion it was blinking red.
The blinking LED at this stage of system initialization appears to be a color coded reporting mechanism to indicate a particular state of the phone (perhaps a failure code reporting feature). I'm guessing it's similar to the POST beep codes that a personal computer emits shortly after powered on to indicate such things as device failures, driver loading issues, or configuration problems.
I would like to know what these colors mean during this stage of the phone's booting process. That is, when I see the flashing LED during the Motorola logo animation, I want to know which part of the system is failing. There's no information on the web (including within this forum) that I've been able to locate on this and Motorola technical phone support personnel seem oblivious to the fact that this blinking color reporting even exists.
how to learn what these codes mean? As I've mentioned, both of my Atrix phones have demonstrated this behavior, so I presume all Atrix phones are equipped to demonstrate it as well under certain conditions. It's hard to imagine that Motorola engineers would have implemented a feature like this and then provided no information to anyone about what the color codes mean to make the feature useful.
I have face a new problem now with my Sony Xperia z2... The screen color is changing automatically... When I take a screenshot or click a picture from my camera..wwhen you view the picture later on the picture is normal for 3 seconds..then the blue color in pictures becomes brighter n the other colors faint.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading my phone to ICS 4.0.4, when i tried to play my favorite temple run (ver 1.0.6 ), I found that it is lagging on my device now. The screen is blinking frequently while the game loads. Even after that while playing it automatically pauses the game. Like if we would be having problems with the graphics driver or graphics accelerator on pc.
Because of this I couldn't manage to run more than 500 to 1000 mtrs in game. I couldn't understand whether its a problem with the game coding or my device or ICS. The tilt controls also works weird at times. The same version used to work fine when I was on Gingerbread. Also its working fine with my other device Samsung Galaxy S plus with gingerbread without any problems.
My phone screen is "scrambled" like an anologue tv channel that hasn't been tuned properly - kinda like colour snow. The phone works and appears to responds to button presses as the "snow" moves and changes colour with each button press.

Sometimes in a dark room (like the bedroom) there is a 50% chance or more of this to happen.

To reproduce this: You need to use "adaptive brightness" under settings. And you need to unlock your phone a few times. I'd recommend you to do this using Tapatalk (Dark theme).Â

Anyway, I'm posting this because I've received an update yesterday from 32.0.A.4.11Â to 32.0.A.5.32 and the issue is still here. Should I replace my device? Or just wait for another firmware?Â
I've recently upgraded to an LG G3 S and have been playing around with it, but am having trouble changing the LED notification colour to anything other than red!
To begin with I wasn't gettting any LED notification lights at all, so I installed Light Flow (and also tried Light Manager) and this allowed me to receive LED notifications for missed Calls, Text's, etc. But I'm unable to change the LED light colour to anything other than red using these APP's. How to get a different colour LED working for them or if it's a known quirk?
I don't see any notifications anywhere to clear other than the quick toggles I use. I'm thinking those might be the culprit since they're basically just an omnipresent notification, and the light stops blinking for a time once I pull the notification shade down. Having a constant green light going off? Also, whatever it is could be the same thing that's keeping the CPU awake all the time. It doesn't seem to be affecting battery life too much though.

The only think is I took my phone out of my pocket today and realized there was a purple blur on the screen. I restarted the phone and it was slightly better. I waited a few minutes and it was gone. Now I am wondering if I should send my phone in to nokia, just to see if the screen is okay and to make sure it doesn't get worse. Let me know what you guys think I should do.Thanks

The colors on the screen vary depending on how the screen is angled. The colors vary from purple, green, and pink tint. I've tried turning my phone on and off as well as resetting it, and nothing is working. The color tint is just in the middle of my screen from the top to the bottom of my screen; not on the sides, however it is still very hard to see my pictures in my gallery or even use social networking sites or anything for that matter.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI got my Droid Razr Nov 10th; had problems so Nov 11 evening I reformated device, factory reset.
As of this morning on Nov 19th I noticed my LED notification light flashing, so I turned on screen to see what I missed. Nothing. Okay so I unlocked phone and waited a minute to see if some third party application will tell me I have a notification. Nothing.
I turned display off, waited a min and it started flashing again. This time I had to go to work so I turned off device 100% and went to work; 6hrs later I turned on device and I got the LED notification light again. Still cant figure it out. After texting a friend, his 2nd text finally made it go away.
I attended a wedding ceremony as a guest and put my cell phone on Airplane mode so no distractions during wedding and thankfully no lights. 1hr later I re enabled all Data (turned off Airplane mode) and still no LED notification.
I thought I was saved.
But I was wrong. After 2hrs I'm getitng the LED notification light again. Tech thought it had something to do with battery, well at at any rate I'm getting a new device, will be here Wednesday but apparently its still blinking at me.
Heck I even have that thing plugged into the AC charging battery and its still going off. The weird thing is, is that when I turn a blank black screen to power up for me so I can use device the LED light goes away, but when I turn off the display (not powering device off) it comes back.
Verizon tried to get me to Motorola Tech Support but guess what, during the transition of being transferred it was 5:59 then 6:00 and the phone cut me off so their website shows them being closed. i just missed the transfer to talk to someone at motorola by 1 minute. So now i have to wait til after 3pm PST tomorrow before i call Motorola back about this issue. Til then I'm hoping someone else knows something
D3 green notification light randomly blinking when there is no notification or other activity. Have pulled battery. Turned off unused apps. Battery functioning normally.
