Aug 8, 2012Here are options that I have tried:- Ensuring Back cover is on completely- Purchased new Micro SDHC card- Updated Xperia Play to latest software using PC Companion- Removing and re-inserting card whilst on, and whilst off.- Searching for related issues (None found, except back cover issues).
When the phone discovers the card, after attempting a mount it tells me "Blank or unnsupported card".Being un-able to connect my SDHC card prevents me from playing any games installed on the device, using the camera/video, and installing new programs or games.

Jan 22, 2012I have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted. The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one. The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45? I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.

Dec 21, 2011i do not have an electrical engineering background and in fact know very little about amps, watts, etc. however to understand my power and charging needs for the playbook, i googled. anyone who knows this better feel to correct me.-the included outlet to micro-usb charger provides 1.8amps at 5volts.-the typical pc to micro-usb cable provides around 0.5amps at 5volts.-the typical power usage of a playbook while active and running is 2-3 watts (which is about 0.5amps to 0.75amps at around 4 volts (depending on battery state).So if the above is true, the pc to micro-usb charger will pretty much cover the usage amps or maybe even less but wont actually increase the amount of stored energy (breaks even).The included charger will provide about 1amp of juice to store after subtracting the 0.5 to 0.75amps of usage.but what is the maximum charger amps or voltage which can charge the playbook the fastest via outlet to micro-usb?is 5v the maximum and amps are the limiting factor? or can any amount of voltage and amps be used? i need it to be microusb not the magnetic post cable because my stand uses microusb. the reason i mention usage while active instead of standby mode is because i plan to run a night table clockapp which will draw 2watts but still want to charge the device quickly.

Nov 18, 2014I bought this phone off a friend. Its three months old and works great. But the other night I accidentally put the magnetic port on backwards and the phone completely died. I freaked out and tried every key combination possible. I eventually got a red led when I plugged in the microusb port. It turned on in about 10 minutes like normal.
Now, when ever I attach the magnetic cord (properly) I get an orange led blinking and the device doesn't charge at all. What does the blinking orange led mean? Does warranty cover the magnetic port?

Days ago I've try to use the USB port and the behavior was weird, each 2 seconds the connection change between USB and Magnetic Port (Fake)... then the battery starts to discharge very fast, becomes hot and stop the charging. USB Connection with PC have no problems and the charging with Magnetic Port is also right... I already tryed to restart the phone, and flash a new firmware.

May 23, 2010I've just purchased a new phone case which has a magnetic catch for my N97. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but when I attempt to use the compass in Nokia maps with my phone in it's case, it appears that the compass doesn't go green after attempting to calibrate it many times, but rather stays red. When I take it out of the case it is able to work after hardly any attempts at calibrating, I think it may be due to the case which has a magnet in it, I've also heard that it can cause the phone to think the back camera is open, if that makes sense, although I haven't encountered this problem yet. I was wondering if there may be long-term damage.

May 14, 2012DON'T USE MAGNETIC PHONE CASES if you want your compass to stay working.I have searched for and read thru lots of posts about people with compass problems in their Razr but no one mentions if they have or did have a phone case with a magnetic close flap.My compass had been working great and I use Night Sky and navigation apps all the time.I put on a leather flip case for more protection and suddenly my compass is all screwy and locked up!Even taking the case back off didn't help.I got the phone tester app and seen that all 3 axis were frozen so I took the magnet from the offending phone case and floated it up to and away from the phone from all directions. This kinda unfroze the compass but it's still erratic even after calibration.

Aug 23, 2010I have run a variety of custom roms on both phones. One of my favorites was the aosp version 2.2.1 from Wolfbreak, that allowed applications like Abobe Flashplayer 10.3 which is a large application >10 MB; to be moved to the SD card. Now what happened to this very effective button that is now shaded out in the new 2.3.3 firmware? I'm not seeing the "move to SD card" button lit up in any of the custom roms for 2.3. either. Only a few apps I was able to move to the SD, most of them cannot be moved anymore. I think that it is important for the xperia x10, which does not have the amount of on board ram than some of it's cousins like the samsung captivate for example, where the need to run apps from the SD card is basically built in with 16 GB thumb drive that's buried, and an additional expandable memory slot for users to install any size up to 32 GB micro sdhc chip, which brings up my second half of a question, I tried a couple different brands/rw speed class micro sd chips in my xperia(s) and so far I can't find a 32 GB size that either xperia will reconize. I haven't tried a class 2 yet, maybe that's the problem. In any case I noted the x10 can't handle anything larger than 16 GB. If there is a 32 GB (the white pages say it handles 32 but doesn't show anything else) that works, I'd like to here from any user who has had such success, what brand, class/speed they have found that works.
