I just updated my Phone just as it has been nagging me to do for ages but now i cant send text messages. I have tried restarting and checked The sms central no. If I change Phone i can text. I tried updating The Phone further but there are no more updates according to my Phone.
View 9 RepliesI have updated to 2.1, used Handsent and normal txt app and still cannot send picture messages. I have never been able to do this since having the phone. I was recommended to update and have done this but still no luck. Have contacted vodafone - no problems there and have re-installed messaging settings. All it says when i try to send it - queued for sending and it never sends so end up having to delete it! Phone is using 3G and H connection if that helps but cant understand how connection makes difference as have been able to send pictues on phones with no internet connections in the past?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the X8 a couple of days ago, but not being able to send texts is bothering me. I am with Vodafone Ireland, I refreshed the SMSC number and it says "+35387699989,145". The +35387699989 part is correct, but I'm not sure why the ,145 is there. I have tried removing the, 145 part and hitting update, but I get an update error. The phone has 47.27MB Available Space. It's running Android 2.1 (I purchased the phone with it already installed). I have tried several different sims including a new one I got today.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter going through the update where it said that we could go now directly send and receive files using bluetooth but then I still can't seem to be able to use it. I have the options to send the files but whenever I do so it would say file transfer failed to the other phone I"m sending the file to. At bluetooth settings, it says 'paired but not connected'. Prior to update I was able to receive files but after so I can do neither.

As soon as the call is done, my text messaging is non-functional. I have no issues with calls/internet browsing/apps...just text messaging.
Furthermore, i do not know if this a phone issue or an AT&T issue.
My emails on my iphone5 (ios7) stopped working yesterday - wont update, send, receive etc. I have tried to delete my email account under settings - but it keeps showing the 'deleting' icon for about 5 minutes before giving up and the account is still there. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone will no longer make or receive calls and I can't text after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1. I've tried everything except chucking the phone out the window. I have reset it multiple times, turned it off and back on, reset the network settings, reset all settings, toggled the airplane mode switch, and done a complete factory restoration. What else is there to do? I can't get a new phone for another year.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFinally the ICS update has become available for my phone (SI 1253-7151) -PC Companion pops up a message about the new update. If I click "Update", PC Companion starts downloading the update, finishes the download and says "Preparing computer for program updates".
Then it proceeds to "Unable to install or start components for update of phone system" and my phone does not get updated.Then I have tried Sony Update Service, but now I can't even start it properly; the program crashes right after opening it. It just says "Synchronizing" and then "An unexpected error has occured. The application will shut down." so I never get any possibility to see why.Again, my phone does not get updated. Since both programs crash there must be a serious problem with the downloaded files (and they're probably shared between the programs?).Apparently I'm not the only one experiencing it; I can see in a Norwegian forum that other people have the same problem - and in the original thread that you have hidden (!).
PS. The original thread was not mine; I just replied to it since I had the exact same problem. Regarding the new "moderation strategy" I believe that the above question is not rude, it's not spam - and reposting the question is necessary when the issue has not been resolved and the original thread has disappeared..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received a message on my XPeria Mini Pro about the 4.1.B.0.587 Update. In fact, I can not install it. When I start the PC Companion software, it finds the connected Phone. Then I click on update. In the following window I click "Accept" and then the software should prepare the PC for the update. But after one second it stops and returns to Start without any comment. When I start Sony Mobile Update Service then it checks for new updates. As soon as the check is over, the program terminates without any comment. Is there a third way to upgrade?

I contacted Sony Ericsson customer care regarding this, they replied go and update ur phone in service center. Too bad they didnt tell me why I was not able to update my phone.
My xperia neo SI number is 1246-9893 purchased in UK and using in India right now. Some how I was managed that PC Companion recognizes my neo tried for update.After multiple error messages from PCC i.e "unable to connect to server" it showed software is upto date.I searched other thread and SI number is still not exits.Would like to know delay of providing 4.0.4 update for some SI numbered phones are because of considering fixing bugs raised by users who has updated their neo phones?It seems people are facing issues from every corner of phone with ICS update.Are these things are considered while providing ICS update for remaining NEO users ?

The Sony PC Companion has started showing that an update is available for my xperia pro as soon as i connect it. I happily selected the update option and on the first attempt it downloaded the update which took more than 10 mins in my case. Then it reboots the phone in the flash mode i believe and when it's time to install the update, simply comes out with an error that no update is available for your phone.
