I'd like to have control over the Emergency Broadcasts that come through my phone. Where do I find these settings at? I can't find where it is to save my life.

2] USB port being near to touch button panel at the bottom, sometimes while charging, touch screen/touch button panel acts weird, making it difficult to use the phone.
on my BB Bold 9650 ,While trying to change email addresses or add a new address, it asks for user name and password and I can't get past that message. I've used every user name and password combination I own and nothing gets me into the email settings mode.

But I am having difficulty accessing the email settings on my Torch so that I can tap in the new password. I go to "Set up" and then have the choice of "Internet mail account" or "Enterprise account". I click on the first one and get a page entitled "existing users". I then have to tap in my user name and password. I assume this refers to my blackberry username and password. But when I tap the info in and press "continue" I get a message saying "The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters". My user name is my gmail address which includes 16 letters before @gmail.com.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOne of the reasons the speakers sounded good was the global settings for sound environments and EQ for headphone jack and speakers. Makes no sense for an update that makes the sound less on this device. PowerAmp has EQ settings, but this does not work for other apps or videos. Not having the global settings is a negative.
The settings for some reason are now located in the Play Music app. It is the same settings and appears to still be global. If it were linked to the Play Music app, I should not be able to mess with settings when the Play Music app is disabled, but I can. I created a shortcut to the Audio Effects with QuickShortcut (handy app!).
Audio Effects are accessible with the QuickShortcut app, so no need for the Play Music app.
I have my home network set to "disable SSID Broadcast" which make my network name invisible when a device including my phone scans for wi-fi's; when I enable SSID Broadcast my phone can see the network name and it can connect to it when I input the network password...no problem so far, works perfectly! but when I disable again the SSID Broadcast then the phone gets disconnected. I try to connect to the network with SSID Broadcast disabled (the phone shows a wi-fi location with no name but stored which I assume it's mine) I type the SSID name and password but it won't connect again until the SSID Broadcast is enabled.
For security purposes I like to keep the SSID Broadcast disabled but then I can't connect my phone to the network. I have 2 desktops, 1 laptop, a Xbox and a Wii all connected wirelessly; I don't know why is not working with my phone.
Which folder is being accessed for ringtones. I know how to get to the point of changing the tone: Menu > Settings > Sound but the list of available ringtones is super short considering how many I have on my SD card. There are several basic AT&T/Motorola tones and then a couple of random ones of mine, but I'm not even sure how those made the list. I set one of the tones/files on my SD card for my "default" ringtone many months ago, but it's not coming up now on the aforementioned list.
I even created a new folder on my SD card called Ringtones (because I had a bunch of random folders on there... Music, Tones, Audio, Sounds), but there is absolutely no way -- as far as I can see -- that I can use/access ANY of them for setting as a ringtone, default or otherwise. When I go into the Sound Settings, as previously mentioned, the list is not using the Ringtones folder from my SD card. Do I need to move tones from the SD card to the phone in order to use them? If so, then how or to where.
When I receive broadcasts on bbm, sometimes it comes up in black instead of purple.

I have an XperiaX10 and since i did the latest update it just keeps saying emergency calls only/no Sim Card.Everything works fine and I can use everything apart from make calls or recieve and send texts.I have removed SIM card several times all to no avail.I read on a forum about trying to reupdate and tried this, it came up saying no updates but it said repair. Therefor I did repair, seemed like a whole update again as I have had to redo everything , but now I can't access my emails!

View 9 Replies View RelatedSuddenly my Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro has a problem:1. The Music application cannot access my track list. When i press the Media Library button it tells me that the Media library is empty.
2. The same happens with the Gallery application. When i open it it cannot display my photos and tells me "0 photosvideos found"....I tried shooting new photos with the camera application but it told me it cannot save files. After trying several times it saved 2 photos so i reopened the gallery application and it displayed the 2 new photos. However it still cannot display my old ones.
3. I downloaded a file manager application from the market and it opened all my photos, videos, and music normally.
4. The problem also happens when I connect my phone to my Laptop using the phone cable. The Laptop cannot see the files on the sdcard except the 2 new photos. However, if I remove the card from the phone, put it in a microSD to SD Adapter, and insert it in my laptop card reader, the laptop displays all my files normally.
5. I copied all the files, formatted the sdcard, and then recopied the files again to the card but it did not solve the problem.
6. I changed the SD card with another one and copied all my data on the new one, however the problem persists.
7. I opened the storage settings and i see that it displays the free space on my sdcard correctly but it cannot display the amount taken by music, photos, and videos.

When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? also I got yesterday a c5 ultra at half price of z5 but surprisingly I realized c5 is much more stable smooth than z5.. Z5 is much more laggy in menus contacts apps etc than c5 which is faster and more lag-free.....What is the reason of this? Why laggy phone two times expensive? Should we wait for an update or android 6 marshmallow to get a ultra fast z5? It finds the network, but when i try to get my phone to register with it, it simply says the sim card does not allow it.I tryd rolling back to the old firmware/os and the phone is back to normal, and i got accses to the cell network.So i tryd updateing again ( over the air... flashed the file manuelly) still the same.

I also upgraded it to the latest available software: 4.1.B.0.587.This Xperia Ray unlocked phone does not work on Bell, Rogers or Videotron carriers in Canada who own the three Canadian cell networks. The IEMI number is rejected from these carriers. I tried the Virgin SIM (uses the Bell network) and the Rogers (Rogers network) SIM, and neither one works. I also called Telus, and no go either.Bell has other users who use the Xperia Ray and one of their affiliates Fido sells the Xperia U and the Xpreia Go. These phones show the same network specs as the Ray (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - ST18a).Bell network (Virgin and Fido): phone must be HSPA (or UMTS) and,850 MHz and 1900 MHz compatible. I called Bell customer service and they say that it must be a different phone from the Canadian Xperia Ray... but that does not make sense. Isn't there only one Xperia Ray version??? I have a 3G enabled SIM which works fine on galaxy fit.But in my xperia mini pro, when I select WCDMA the network disconnects and shows "emergency calls only".I have shown that to my service provider but he says thats the phones fault.I have also tried another 3G SIM from another provider in my phone but the problem persists.This is a HARDWARE problem, I got it rectified at SONY service center (free of cost!!!).They replaced the PCB( Printed Circuit Board).
