I have a problem with my messages, i dont remember if its after the last software update, but every time i get a new message, it doesnt appear on the notifcation bar or even make a sound, i just by conisidence when i open my lock screen or go to home screen i see 1 on my messsages icon.

The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

If I have a text message conversation open and receive a new message from the same contact, the notification icon pops up, I'm properly notified, but then it won't clear without backing out of the conversation to the higher level text messaging section. I have had success a few times with tapping on the new message to clear the notification icon, but not all the time. This was not an issue I noticed with the previous version of Android.

The Notification menu which comes down from the top keeps coming down all the time. When I am texting, viewing pictures, browsing my phonebook etc., and it stops me from using the phone how I want to use the phone. no matter where i touch on the screen it pops up. I have done the following with no avail:
I have upgraded the firmware. (this problem happened before and still continues after upgrade)I have turned the phone on and off countless times.I have locked the phone and unlocked it numerous times hoping it will go away...it doesn't. The phone has not been dropped or damaged in anyway - it is only 2 months old.
My phone's notification LED doesn't work properly on missed calls ,messages and battery low . sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work.

The download successful but my notification bar shows that it is still downloading. I just cant remove that thing from my notification. I tried evrything restarted device several times & reseted the phone settings to default, still it is there. I am so much irritated.

I've set my gmail account as the default mail-account on my x10 mini pro, but the phone doesn't seem to reteive the mails automatically. I thought that when I set the sync-schedule to once an hour, then the phone would check my gmailaccount for new mails and notify me. I've tested this and the only time I get a notification is when I manually tell the phones mail-client to sync. Am I just a stupid user that donät know how to work the phone, or do I have to set up a sync-schedule for gmail?

Everytime inbox needs to refreshed inorder to see new mails. Same with Gmail app installed on phone.

When I plug it in the red notification light blinks for a while, then the charging logo appears on the screen for a short time and during that time red is light constantly lid, as it was supposed to, however then the screen goes black again and the light starts blinking.
I found a solution on YouTube which suggested me to tape power button firmly so it's always pushed and then charge it for an hour. I did exactly the same thing, nothing changed.
It's been more than 2 hours and my phone is still charging with the same cycle (blinking red light, then charging logo, then blinking again). I wonder what happened to my phone and what can I do now?
I realized that with using charging dock I can see a glimpse of Xperia and Sony logo but then they vanish. The phone seems to be restarting itself while I use the dock.
Accidentally shut my z2 in the car door and the screen smashed. the phone still seems to be working as the alarm goes off on time but the digitizer doesn't work and i cant see the display to enter the unlock pattern. How/if can i retrieve the data? or have i lost the lot?

Today the LED notification doesn't light up when I receive a message and the screen is locked. I have checked though the service menu that the LED works, and I'm running gingerbread 2.3.4 so the new ICS update shouldn't be the problem. Also the screen doesn't light up when locked and receiving a message but I don't know if it's supposed to do that?

The volume is about 40% the preview (I know it's linked to media volume) but even on max the message notification is really weak, there's no x-loud for us to boost the speakers and all other settings do nothing for volume.

On my old phone the notification alram would repeat after 15 minutes of so until I had read my unread messages and ackowledged my notifications. This was really useful as I work in a noisy envirmonment. Can you do this on the Mini or do you have to keep looking at the phone to see if you have anything new - very sad. Also can you get a view only of new messages as currently I can see all including drafts so its tricky to know whats actually new incoming.

But 1 thing that makes me sad about the ICS update is that there is no message notification in the lock screen. Where is it now? I hope in the next update they will include this. Part of the changes seems to be that I get new message notifications in the middle of my lock screen (meaning I press the power button and my screen goes from blank to the lock screen, and in the middle of that is a notification that says I have "New messages:1" with a envelope icon beside it. I've checked sms, email, whatsapp, skype, handcent, etc etc and I cant find any messages that are new. The notification bar is empty. I've also tried sending myself a message to see if it will clear, but it wont. I'd previously cancelled voice mail on the carrier side too.
