My phone is giving me a 'media not found' message on some of my photos and videos. I have tried unmounting and re-mounting my sd card but still not working....
View 4 Repliesevery time i take a photo or try to save anything to my media card i get 'File Not Found' error message. The Card is not full, I have done several battery pulls and nothing works.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently encountered issues with the photo gallery and the media player on my nokia n900 where all the photos, music and videos are not detected by them. If I were to browse to them via file manager, I can find what I'm looking for but if I go into "photos" in the main menu, it just displays "(no images)" (there are images on the phone) and in Media Player (main menu again) it just shows all 4 icons but shows "(no songs)" or "(no videos)" under music, video and shuffle all songs (again, there is music and videos on the phone). Internet radios still show 48 stations.
If I were to use file manager to open images, music or videos, they run normally as if their programs can detect them but they are still undetectable when gone into "photos" and "media player". Even with music, if I play it via file manager, hit back to go to the media player menu (with the 4 icons), it still shows no songs or videos, despite it playing one!Can anybody help me resolve this?Firmware version = 3.2010.02-8.203.1 (recently reflashed, issue was not occuring when I had the latest vodafone uk firmware version, forgot it's version number)Edit:Forgot to add, this happened gradually. These did work at first after the reflash, photo gallery went a week ago the media player stopped working today.
I am new here having jsut come from a BB Curve 8900 I love the speed of the new 9700 its a million times better. Anyway, I have a 2gb card installed but under the settings and memory section it says no card found. is there a way of getting it to reconise the card as my phone says its only got 90MB of internal memorey left which wont do me as I use it as a mp3 player as well.
View 11 Replies View Relatedhow to get videos to load into mediascape and I have tried multiple different ways. I have copied files directly and I have used Media Go. I have converted the files to mpeg4 with many different conversion programs and I still cant get any videos to show up. Is this a known issue? Is there some kind of setting that I'm missing? I've tried to transfer files from my old phone tthat were in 3GPP format and I converted that. Also I have tried other video files that were not on my old phone and I have had no luck.

Also i have some videos in other different format like .flv, mp4AT but it does not support it either. I have tried different other video players from Android market and they really ***** in performance as compared to built in video player. good performance free video player which can play multiple formats of videos, HD or Full HD without lagging.

Since updating it a week ago I've had two, one which I managed to fix myself and recently I've had a photo and a video that won't open after taking them, luckily it was a random video of my dog and nothing important, but I imagine if it was something more important I'd be a little more annoyed. Also I have another picture that has a large, thick, white block down the left hand side, so half corrupted.

I tried to recover them by moving them and videos to the SD card and they keep being untouchable. If I try to access them by the file commander or my computer I see only half of the photo.
Is there no video media player for N8? I observe that there is no media player for videos and if I have to play video, I will do so by playing the video file one by one. Is there not a way there can be video media palyer to play all the video collections in the phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have BB Desktop Software V5 Bundle 1626 and have been unable for the last 2 versions to synchonize my photos from either device memory or the memory card. When I click on Media Sync/Pictures it doesn't show any photos at all. I read that it is suggested to go back to the version that used Roxio but that version always crashed my computer so that's not an option for me. How do I get my photos from my bb to my laptop? I certainly don't want to have to email them all.

After selecting "save photos to SD card by default" option in camera setting, I took pictures and it gave a message "Memory Error" and the pictures weren't saved on SD card. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've seen various versions of this question but haven't found an answer yet. I just bought a second hand 8900 to replace my damaged one. The problem is the device doesn't seem to be able to recognize my media card. In the options > memory it says "a media card is not presently inserted in the device". The card works fine in the old device and in a completely different type of phone from a friend. Their card is also not recognized by my device, so I've ruled out the card as the problem. I've tried all the usual fixes - battery pull, software update, etc but with no success. Is this phone just defective or am I missing something?

Taking new pictures with camera showed up in gallery.
Using ES file explorer: checking my DCIM directory still has over 500 photo's/video's in there. Music is also still on phone.
I tried reboot.
I tried emptying information and cache from gallery and mediastorage.
I also installed meda re.scan.
Nothing worked.
I am on stock Android 5.0.2 with Sense 6
My phone frequently loses the location of media files on my phone. They are there and turning off the phone and restarting it normally fixes the problem. However it is becoming very frequent now and I need a fix.

I have Media Sync loaded fine. It reads my Windows Media Library just fine. When it loads the playlists/music for selection to sync, most show up as "Supported" in the Status column. However there are many that show up as "Not Found". Is there a file size limit or file name/path size limit that could be causing this? These are not DRM files. It happens to music that I have burnt from CDs and a given CD, for example, might have 13 songs on it and have only 4 of them show up as "Not Found". I'm not seeing anything like this in the forums.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed OS 5.0.0.442 which was posted on the very first thread of the forum. I haven't had any issues with it until recently.
When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
I have over 1200 songs and about 40 videos, some in phone memory and some in Sd card in my N900. The only way I can play them is to go to the file mgr and bring'em 1 by 1. Same with my videos. Any suggestions is appreciated in advance for getting my media into the media player so that it s easier to play them and be able to create play list.
