Aug 16, 2011I have been sent a message to my inbox and all it says is "message not downloaded" I have tried pressing it then choosing download message but nothing happens.

Apr 9, 2010I am having an Empty message (not Blank Message). It takes up the space of a text message but the recipient name or the message is not shown in inbox. When I tried to Open the message it said 'Unsupported message type'. This message is not even getting deleted saying 'Error occurred. Deletion not completed'. I got this problem already Twice. What happened further is, After sometimes more of such msgs starts to appear, and then suddenly all saved messages will get deleted.
Then all the applications (including basic applications like calculator) will get deleted. I gave to Nokia service centre. They just said it could be virus so they got my mobile, gave back (installing the software again I guess, I don't think they Cleaned Virus as told by them) and told me to use memory card after scanning. I scanned the card with the top antivirus - with up to date virus database. So I am very much sure there is no virus in my Memory card.

Jun 28, 2014I went on vacation where cell service and Wifi were both very spotty. Now that I'm back to good service area, my email won't download. Old folders bring up prior emails but inbox remains totally empty. I've tried several hard restarts & deleting and reinstalling Yahoo email account. Â
I'm still on the road and don't have access to my main computer to back up. I can pull up Yahoo mail in Safari and read emails from Yahoo's website fine. Â

Feb 23, 2010Odd glitch on the 9700. It's one thing that drives me nuts because the OS interface is placing an SMS notifier saying I have a new one, I see that I have one new message, I hover over the SMS icon on the home screen and it has a prefix (1). I deleted ALL sms msgs and it's still telling me I have one. What do I do? This happened after I did a backup and restore. Maybe because I had an unread SMS before restoring data from my old 8330?

May 10, 2010A message in my Inbox won't delete. I know for sure it was saved in my 'saved messages' folder, for the purpose of forwarding it later.I am able to delete the message from the 'saved' folder, however I cannot delete it from my Inbox. I've tried doing a battery pull, but it didn't help. I've tried deleting the message, then pulling the battery...and pulling then deleting. Nothing works.The message was sent and saved on February 19, 2010 at 5:32 PM. As for deleting..I've tried to delete prior, delete it individually, mark it read and then delete it, everything I can think of.Anyone know what I can do? It's been annoying me for months, and no suggestions on other threads have helped.

Oct 2, 2011I dont know how but my inbox for my text messages vanished, maybe i accidentily deleted it when it was in my pocket but even when people send me a txtmessage i dont see it in the popup menu or get an alarm anymore, the only way i can check if i have new messages is when i open up the textmessage folder in the general message folder.

Jan 4, 2010I have Nokia 7610 (Classic and not supernova). It has a very strange problem. One of the text messages in the inbox does not open, cannot be deleted, can't be moved to any other folders and you can't even see the msg details. If you try to open/delete or move it, the phone simply restart. Because of the I am unable to take backup via any software, whether Nokia or 3rd party. Tried to access the msg file via different phone explorer like fileman, etc and located the msg file in the system mail folder. if you go to the specific folder then the phone restarts. Have tried every known solution but does not work. The phone data is important and cannot be erased. Please look in to the matter and help me with a resolution where I can recover the data, i.e. the msgs, contacts, etc.

No Apps installed since I got the phone last week of October 2011.Never used the browser.Only used the phone for TEXT MESSAGE, CONTACTS, CALENDAR, CAMERA.My text message inbox suddenly shows August 31, 2043. The received and sent items are now messed up due to this date error.

Mar 15, 2010I've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
BB Bold 9700 :: Emails To Messages Inbox Rather In Gmail Inbox?
Jan 5, 2010So I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

Mar 18, 2010I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.
