X8 cannot receive long SMS.. i've done filtering, internal memory is 120mb, no downloaded apps,changed sim cards. this is such a disappointment. its only weeks that i can receive long sms. only software repair can solve the problem but its very tedious to repair and repair every 5 days. im losing my faith in my X8.

I use USB tethering a lot, and sometimes for very long times. When I disconnect the phone, sometimes, my phone becomes unable to receive calls. And even worse, the caller hears the normal calling sound, but my phone just doesn't do anything. So to the caller it seems that I'm just not answering, although the phone isn't notifying me in any way, during the call or after the call! So there is no way telling how many calls I'm missing..
When I try "reset" the mobile network by going to flight mode and back, the phone completely locks, and I have to remove the battery to reboot the phone. This problem won't go away unless I reboot the phone. This happens awfully often, regardless if I click USB tethering off from the phone first before disconnecting it. The most important function is not working and makes the "phone" useless.
How long can I receive the refund?

Called VZW up they claim that google pushed out an update which breaks Nav. View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot send picture messges or send any txts longer than one message. i dont even get a 'cannot send' or 'sending failed'. It just has a little symbol going around and around constantly and not sending- it keeps doing this for days if i dont delete it! And yeh i have checked that it hasnt actually sent without telling me! This has always been the case since having the phone. Things ive tried:
* changed to Handsent messaging app,
* fiddling with settings ( switching to GSM etc)
* reinstalling message settings from Vodafone THREE times,
Still no joy! Ok i am on 1.6 version of phone so have not yet updated like everyone else but these problems have been present since day one. From what i have read on other forums i do not want to update to 2.1 as it seems to have caused even more issues with this already problematic phone! I like the phone the way it is i dont want it all to change, just want the messaging problems to be sorted and id be happy and not bothered about updates etc.
My phone battery has a x8 only a day after the proper loading, if I had not even been on the web, is called, has not played, not listened to music, and more and mor..... How long have you x8 on the battery? I've already tried all things: all things are turned off, screen brightness reduced. I bought this phone just a week ago.

This is my first Android phone, so I am wondering about this. How long should it take to fully charge my phone? When I connect it to its socket charger, it only takes an hour or so. Likewise, through my computer, it only takes an hour. Is that normal, or should I be worried about it?

But my phone have this lag problem so, I thought I repair it via PC Companion today. The problem is, phase 3 (updating) phase doesn't seems to progress. The progress bar is at zero for an hour now and my internet is connected.
Update: This is taking too long for me to wait, I'm cancelling the update by clicking the [x] button. I hope it doesn't touch anything on the system and just downloading the update file.
Update 2: I cannot boot my phone now, it shows yellow triangle with exlamation mark.
After 1 minute recording I'm having a lag of 2 or 3 seconds with audio of my videos, doesn't Matter the resolution that I use.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Z3+ yesterday and when starting a first charge (30mins as advised in the setup guide) the battery began at 32% charge, i left it for 30 mins and it only got to 38%. It took a good 1hour + for a full 100% charge.
I've now recharged again today and its taken 3hours for a full 100% charge from 0%, is this correct?? I have read it can take 45mins for a full charge.
For some reason my update is running for a long time now.It says"Preparing" for almost an hour now. No error messages or such of any kind.
