I am having an issue where I typed a really long text over 5 SMS pages and it turned it into a MMS and tried sending it even though I had no multimedia attachment. How can I unchange this so it only sends text messages as SMS? any options or configs?

Is there anything I can do to speed it up? Do I have to have a certain number of signal bars in order to be able to send MMS quicker or something? Ive never had problems with Sony Ericsson before

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently started getting a problem where my text message program freezes if my phone turns off the screen (i.e. me being inactive for a while). When I get back again it says I can either wait for it to respond or terminate the process. If I wait it unfreezes, but it is still very irritating that it happens every time.
And who's incredibly stupid idea was it to make long SMS messages into MMS-messages? I have problems with my messages not being sent properly, or being sent only partially, all the time. Is there any way to change back so it just adds more text messages instead of converting into MMS?
I use the standard text messaging program that came with my X10 mini pro, and I'd rather not switch since I found it quite good until after recent updates when I got these problems.
How could I send one message to many recipients at one time, other phones has easily option but I am surprised my x-10 mini has not.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting a contact to send a message to, the drop down list auto fills with some of my contacts which start with the letters I am keying in, but it does not auto fill with all the relevant contacts, missing out most of the contacts which start with the letter or name I am keying in? E.g if I was sending to a contact called "Paul" Keying in "P" would only bring up a few of the contacts I have starting with "Paul" but no all of them Even if I continue to key in the full name the auto fill does not seem to find the exact same name which is in my contacts Is there any way to turn off this auto fill so you can manually select the contacts I wish to sent the message to?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHis text message gets interrupted halfway through by an old message he sent before (be it a previous message from a few minutes ago or from weeks ago!) It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. It's getting so frustrating cos I have to keep asking him to text me again and a lot of the time I just get another 'cracked' text!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI cannot send picture messges or send any txts longer than one message. i dont even get a 'cannot send' or 'sending failed'. It just has a little symbol going around and around constantly and not sending- it keeps doing this for days if i dont delete it! And yeh i have checked that it hasnt actually sent without telling me! This has always been the case since having the phone. Things ive tried:
* changed to Handsent messaging app,
* fiddling with settings ( switching to GSM etc)
* reinstalling message settings from Vodafone THREE times,
Still no joy! Ok i am on 1.6 version of phone so have not yet updated like everyone else but these problems have been present since day one. From what i have read on other forums i do not want to update to 2.1 as it seems to have caused even more issues with this already problematic phone! I like the phone the way it is i dont want it all to change, just want the messaging problems to be sorted and id be happy and not bothered about updates etc.
how to increase the text messaging validity on my phone. If I send a txt to someone who has no signal or phone is turned off I get a message failed delivery report. In my past sony ericsson phones there is a setting you can change so it will try to send for a longer period of time, It is usually found in the text settings but on the x10 mini pro I can't find it anywhere.

The sms text dial pad appears in all the menu pages if the menu button (given at the bottom right corner of the phone) gets pressed a little longer. This happens during incoming call also and the dial pad wont disappear even if the back button or any other button gets pressed. Till this pad disappears, I am not able to pick an incoming call.

There's-one-little-glitch: Where I live MMS service is - not - available! If I delete even one (1) character I get another pop up saying, 'Msg type changed to text msg.'
Nokia's solution: When the N8 tries to convert to mms go to Options > Sending Options > msg type > Text. Nokia's solution fails immediately after pressing 'Options' because there is NO 'Sending Options' option to select! How - can I disable/remove/get rid of this unwanted/forced MMS change over so I can write and send as many characters as I want/need in SMS (text).
Every time I get a text message my screen turns on and off. I don't have this problem with any other notification I get just text messages. The screen just turns on and off in like a seconds time.I dont know if its a setting I might have set or if I have a bad phone.

recently I was texting a lot while receiving text messages at the same time. And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear.The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it. The icon won't go away I tried restarting my phone many times its stil there. Now when I send out a text message I don't know when it is done sending because the icon never disapears.

I have a Bold 9900. Under "contacts" I have created a distribution list, mainly my baseball team so if a game is cancelled, I would like to address them all in one swoop. The problem is, only 8 out of 18 receive a text. I go to the "text message" icon, press the blackberry button on "compose text message". When it asks "To:" I select from my contact list, my baseball team.
Some of the entries on my list have an email address only while others have both. What do I have to do to successfully reach everyone on the list? Would it work better if it were only email or mobile addresses? Does it matter whether they are MTS or Rogers customers for their cell phones? Do I require to add 1+then the area code for the cell phone numbers?
I am trying to send a picture via text message and it wont work, I've tried everything, it seems I simply do not have the attach option, and I don't have internet blocked or anything I really don't understand I've been on this for and hour.
