I am trying to connect my Xperia X8 to a router with a fixed IP address but the phone doesn't seem to have any means of entering the address. Does anyone have any idea how to confirgure the phone to a fixed IP address please?

View 5 Replies View RelatedTwo days ago my phone kept disconnecting from my home wifi, leaving me to use 4G without noticing most of the time. It caught my attention the next day and I tried everything the Apple troubleshoot page says for this issue and was left unable to connect to my wifi, period. I had no choice but to restore my phone.Â
Restoring it from backup didn't fix the issue, so I restored again as a new phone. Not only can I not get to my wifi tab, the Settings app in particular keeps freezing as well as others. I am unable to click anything, not even to go to the home screen or shut it off from the top until one minute passes and it turns off on its own. Then sometimes I can't turn it back on, and I have to reboot it because the whole screen is black.Â
Is there any reason my phone is suddenly freezing so much after a complete restore? Is there anything I can do about my wifi? I thought anything that was causing the defects would be wiped but now I have more problems than I started with. Â

I have updated my Xperia Pro to ICS before 2 days I want to access my laptop shared broadband internet using wifi, how to do that. My laptop comes with software which can generate WiFi hotspot and also share my laptop broadband connection. The only way to get it to reconnect is to restart the phone. After restart the 3G is working perfect for as long as i have been able to test it, but as soon as i connect to WiFi it stops again.

For some reason my wifi connection is either very slow, or there isn't any connection. And when it does connect, it is REALLY slow, and then it drops.
I get really frustrated because on my other devices such as an asus notebook and a Samsung tablet it works like a charm.
When I am in the Room with the Router Network connection is really good, when I go to another Room in my Flat it is almost never available or too slow to surf any Website. So far it could be the Router.. But at the Same time my husband Has a much better connection and Performance with his HTC as well as friends with an iPhone.

I own a wi-fi connection , but when i search for wi fi connections with my phone , it can't find it . i even used manual wi fi settings to connect into my internet connection but , it can't find it again. My family has different android phones and can connect into my wi fi connection easily , without problems.
I also tried connecting to another wi fi connection and it connected , but i can't seem to find the reason that my phone can't find my wi-fi connection.
Ok no ICS can we at least get 2.3.4 fixed for R800x. The know issues are a big problem, STILL. Google, push notifications, wifi, 3g etc.

I have to disable the wifi connection then reconnect for the phone to connect to the internet. This happens everytime i try to go on the net. Every other device in the house ie phones laptops etc works fine with no connection problems.

Is this a defect of my Xperia Z3 that I need to have fixed by Sony? Is it a general issue all Xperia Z3 have?
I kept loosing my home Wifi connection, to some annoyance, having to restart the Wifi everytime to solve the issue. Until I figured out turning off the Bluetooth solves the issue. Anyone experience this? I've got an Xperia Pro.My phone is connected by Bluetooth to all my appartment's handsets thanks to a Siemens Gigaset. It eliminates the need for a landline and of having to carry my phone or to run to it since I have three handsets across the house now to answer the phone, or to make calls. Quite neet.Naturally, having the phone in my hands while using the Wifi sort of diminishes the problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia PLAY R800at with 2.3.3. Whenever I'm using my bluetooth device and reconnect to my wifi network, I lose bluetooth packets for 5-6 seconds. This does not happen when I compare against the Nexus S sitting right next to the Xperia PLAY.
This is a really bad problem, and is probably going to result in me not using my PLAY at all.
When I'm at home, I keep my 3G data services turned off. I have a wifi connection and the 3G connection isn't very good inside my house anyway. For some reason, every time I open Android Market, it tells me I have to turn on data services, even if I'm connected already to wifi, and then it keeps interrupting because of the poor 3G connection. Is there any way to force this application to use wifi? I have no problem with other applications.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSometimes, touching was not enabled when I tried to slide the menu page (with an menu icon) on certain apps and, slide menu page on the left of some websites or by tapping on the menu icon on those sites; I have had to tap the second time or so to make it responded.
Next, connecting Z3 with Wi-Fi sometimes took past a minute over till I opened Wi-Fi setting (where from there I can view Wi-Fi networks).
I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who have Xperia Z3 have the glitches mentioned above. Will Sony Mobile provides a more better system update than the current version 4.4.4 in near future?
My wifi connection stays open even if I disable it. It's annoying because it consumes my battery and I can't do nothing.Â

I am just sitting on my office desk, 2 meters from the router all day. But the phone keeps connecting to mobile data and just takes 5 kb of data for 20 -30 times a day. I fiddled with automatic background data settings, with no success.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHad issues for a couple weeks now and basically now WiFi connection is useless for it. Tried resetting the router, cleaned the sim, checked net speeds, closed apps etc and have a constant problem. One of the reasons I got the Z5 was the remote play for the PS4 and I think I've been able to use it twice. Every other time states connection too low. Can't watch YouTube on it states connection error. Can't even WhatsApp half the time.
