May 3, 2015I have WiFi problem after upgrading my z2 to lollipop. I can open WiFi connection, Bluetooth connection, can't run Hotspot also?

Jun 30, 2012I kept loosing my home Wifi connection, to some annoyance, having to restart the Wifi everytime to solve the issue. Until I figured out turning off the Bluetooth solves the issue. Anyone experience this? I've got an Xperia Pro.My phone is connected by Bluetooth to all my appartment's handsets thanks to a Siemens Gigaset. It eliminates the need for a landline and of having to carry my phone or to run to it since I have three handsets across the house now to answer the phone, or to make calls. Quite neet.Naturally, having the phone in my hands while using the Wifi sort of diminishes the problem.

Jul 5, 2012I have an Xperia PLAY R800at with 2.3.3. Whenever I'm using my bluetooth device and reconnect to my wifi network, I lose bluetooth packets for 5-6 seconds. This does not happen when I compare against the Nexus S sitting right next to the Xperia PLAY.
This is a really bad problem, and is probably going to result in me not using my PLAY at all.

Dec 5, 2014My iPhone Personal Hotspor was connecting to my iPad and iPad Mini just fine. Then the phone/bluetooth seemed to be searching for those devices when I didn't need them, so I hit "Forget This Device" for both of them. Now the iPhone won't connect with either of them. How do I get my iPhone to recognize these devices again?

May 10, 2011On a embedded PC I've configued a hotspot for mobile devices - any device can connect to WiFi it provides and use it to access websites. However one of our customers told us that he can't use it with Blackberry.Only funcionality we need is website access, no need for UMA or any other extra BB-specific features.First problem we had was that BB couldn't associate to hotspot at all. That is fixed now by disabling 'wmm' on hotspot.Problem that stays open is accessing websites. The browser is set to 'hotspot mode' but whenever i enter url in a browser the request times out. The gateway is correct, DNS-server (gateway itself) is correct too, IP address is assigned correct.I dug into it and i can see that most of DNS queries don't reach the hotspot at all. When i try DNS test utility results are the same - most DNS queries don't reach hotspot. I can see BB exchanging ARP 'who has' APR 'is at' packets and thats all.Ping to my hotspot works when i chose 'WiFi -gateway' (however it responds only once after ~1600ms, later requests time-out). When I try to ping it via IP all request time out (however i can see in logs that ping reaches my hotspot and it responds immediately).Hotspot config is atheros (2413) based wifi card in ap mode. Driver is ath5k from 2.6.38 kernel. I use hostapd to create wifi network and dnsmasq as DHCP/DNS server.

Jul 16, 2011I was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings.Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem.On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop.Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). Â I found out that the APN setting which could be visible at all time when you look at, whether you are using cellular networking or not. Â However, when WiFi Hotspot activated, then the APN setting was blank and all setting was disable. All access points were vanish. Â Then de-activate WiFi Hotspot, all setting in APN page were back as normal.

May 22, 2012I've been trying to tether my Sony Erricson Xperia Neo to a laptop pc. Android OS.I first tried USB tethering but my laptop had no internet access, so I instead tried setting up a portable wifi hotspot to see if that would work. My laptop recognised the network I had created and I joined it succesfully, but I had no internet access. (Note: When I used USB tethering another network was recognised by the laptop)
I checked my phone and the 3g icon which shows that mobile internet is enabled (the two little verticle arrows with 3g above them) were not visible, but when I disabled the wi-fi hotspot, the icon appeared again. I'm not sure whether this is normal but could it be that 3g is being disabled with the activation of hotspotting, or is it just hidden automatically when wi-fi hotspotting is disabled? I find sometimes that the 3g icon disapears for no reason in areas I previously have had good signal, and then when I try and connect it takes a few seconds and then the icon appears again and I can connect.

At the begining, when I bought the xperia Z3, when pressing the helmet button to make a request to the phone, the "google lady" was asking about if I want to make a call or anything, it worked out, it was working as expected, but since the phone requested me to make some updates in the apps (also the google app), the google thing does not work anymore. It works the music, it works the google maps and navigation but If I want to "talk to the phone" the google lady says (in spanish "espera") "wait", a grey screen appears with the word "initializing" and actually does nothing. In a nutshell, the google thing does not work using blueetooth anymore. Then I have to stop to drive and manually make the call which is not ideal when you are travelling...

Only show device phisical adress and nothing more. When my phone was with Android 4.4.4 there was no problem to comunicate with this device. My other two phones (Xperia P and Xperia L, both with android JB) has no problems to communicate with device or to each other.
