I have some basic quetion about the Xperia X8 handling.How do i see files on SD card from mobile? and how do i zoom (in/out) while taking photos?I dont find any options for this in User guide. I want to do it from Mobile not by connecting it to PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI managed to zoom in yesterday by pinching the screen but now it won't let me zoom again. I've tried pinching it for about 100 years and i press and held the home and sleep/poweroff buttons until the apple sign came up, it still didn't do anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever the phone is in camera mode, the zoom buttons don't zoom in or out or do anything. But when it is in music player mode they turn the volume up and down perfectly fine. Any ideas how to fix it or is a trip to Nokia Care needed? Would upgrading the firmware do anything to solve the problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that after you have shot a video while using the volume/zoom switch to zoom in and out that when you play back the video you can hear the clicking of the switch? If you use the slide zoom on screen, the microphone also picks up the noise from your finger moving across the screen using that method too. This is a major problem as you cannot hear what you have filmed when you play it back, when I took it back to the shop where I purchased it from to explain about it they checked all the other N8's in the shop and they too had the same fault. Come on Nokia you managed to be able to get it right on my old N95-00 without it making the clicking noises,so you must be able to sort it out on the N8, the videos at the moment are unwatchable as all you hear is click, click ,click where the zoom button has been pressed. I bought this phone mainly for the excellent camera/video but at the moment all I have is a very expensive touch screen phone

Now I can't view the files and it won't play in any different video applications that I have downloaded. I reformatted the sd card after backing it up and still nothing! Why is this when I can see the files on my phone. They are there but won't play. I haven't done anything wrong! I literally am frustrated and want my videos back.

Recently, I just cannot access my 16GB SD memory card of my mobile phone and inner stored photos since it keeps asking me to format no matter whether it try to use it on my digital camera or Samsung laptop. My friend just says it is detected as RAW file system on my PC and that’s why it needs formatting before any access. My z2 has a camera problem. initially worked fine , then stopped taking photos - they show as broken files and can't be opened. I factory reset the phone and the camera worked for one day. it then stopped taking photos - when you take a pic, it shows the little orange circle going round and round , but then doesn't store the photo. Yesterday I cleared the cache and this appeared to make it work. The camera now takes photos, but I cannot message or bluetooth them - just says could not add item. I tried to transfer them to my computer , via usb and they all show as broken files , but with the .jpg extension , so not the lost.dir problem. Any better camera to download thru playstore that works well ...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI would just like to report that the Xperia mini pro (and possibly also Xperia mini) camera does not keep track of picture number in file names properly. It will keep track of the number as long as the user does not delete any pictures, but as soon the user deletes one/more/all pictures taken with the phone's camera, the camera system will "fill the numbering gaps" when new pictures are taken, instead of just continuing from the number of the last picture taken.

I have a major problem with my Xperia Ray at the moment, it just refuses to read my SIM card. In fact, it doesn't even ask me for my PIN number, it just boots as normal but I have no connection to any network. I've tried using the SIM card in another phone and it works fine, therefore the problem is with the phone itself.I'd recently had my phone network & bootloader unlocked by wotanserver using the test point method - because of this I thought the DRM keys would be fine (e.g. TrackId & Timescape still worked). However, when I was updating from GB .42 to .62 OTA (to flash a GB ROM) my phone brickedSo, I searched high and low for a solution and ended up using s1tool to restore the locked bootloader. Then I used flashtool to flash a stock ICS ftf file. It seemed to work (the phone rebooted) but it was then I noticed that the SIM card wasn't being recognised. Also, in the Flashtool log I noticed that a blue line was there saying 'this file is ignored simlock.ta'I've tried everything I can think of to fix this.

If i unmount the card, take it out of the phone and put it directly to the pc, it works fine, file sys never crashes.I have tried two different 4Gb Class 4 SD cards. Operared fine in phone, but same problem occured when connected to pc.I always unmount drive from windows before usb cable removal.Very annoying to take out the card for safe file transfer.Also GPS needs sometimes even 10-20+ mins to find satellites. I dont't think this is normal. Or is it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just backed up the data on my Curve 8520 to the PC. It has appeared as a 'Backup-(date).ipd file which is now saved on my PC. However when I try and open this file on the PC to view the addresses, pictures, notes etc that have been saved there from my mobile, Windows will not open the file as it does not have a file association for the ipd file. Seems to me that if I have backed up data from my phone to the PC, I should be able to view the data on the PC just as I do on the phone.

I am unable to view the pictures that I have on my SD card, but whenever I connect my phone to the computer or insert the SD card into the computer I can see all of the photos that I have saved on my SD card. I'm not sure what happened. I used to be able to see them and something happened, preventing me from seeing them.
