i have purchaced new sony ericson X10 recently. Can some one suggest me how to remove time space from my desktop. Its covering my photo in desktop. Also tell me me how to disconnect/silent the phone when i get a call.
View 6 RepliesI've been using DM6 for the last week or so and am very disappointed. It does not seem to remember the last time that I synced or backed up. The only time it remembers is the first time I synced my BB with it. Not such a big issue for syncing, but I like my BB to backup weekly...so once a week has passed after the first sync, it wants to back up every time.
DM 5.0.1 worked flawlessly, but since I am using Outlook 2010, I can't go back.Come on RIM, you can do better than this.Any suggestions on how to get DM to remember when it actually backed up or synced?
I just bought my Blackberry, plugged it into my computer and installed the desktop manager. I had many updates so I pressed okay and now it's in the process, but it has been on the 3rd task (out of 11) for quite a while, I'm not sure if it's supposed to take this long or if it's just frozen or messed up on my computer.

However, I got stuck on step one because I have not yet used the Desktop Manager, and cannot figure out how to get past the initial DM welcome screen with my broken phone.My phone won't currently connect to DM because the phone can't properly start up. (What the difference is, and have yet to read an explanation which makes any sense whatsoever to my technologically challenged self.) I want to save photos on my PC but remove them from my IPhone to free up space. So, while I have only a few dozen photos on the Camera Roll, and fewer in the Photo Library, I have hundreds in the photo stream.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI store my contact mobile phone #s in international format (ie +61 4xx xxxxxx) so they are accessable from overseas when I travel without having to edit. Outlook 2003 seems to put a space character by default after the country code, so these appear as +61 4xxxxxxxx in Outlook.When I sync my Nokia 6120 to Outlook this space then gets transferred across to the phone as the # for the contact.When I receive anything from the contact (phone call, SMS etc), the number I have saved for them does not exactly match the number that comes through (either because of the extra space, or because it will come through in Australian format ie 04xx xxxxxx) and the contact does not get recognised by the phone, and simply appears as the #, not the contact name.If I send an SMS first & this is replied to, it comes back correctly identified, but new messages etc from contacts are not identified.
Is there any way to remove the space that Outlook seems to put after the country code by default? And is there any way for the phone to recognise +61 4xxxxxxxx and +614xxxxxxxx and 04xxxxxxxx all as the same number for the same contact?

Not connected to my BB9000 the process Rim.desktop.exe + Rim.desktop.AutoUpdate.exe are already using some 190.000 kB. When connceted to the device this figure rises to over 200.000 for the two processes. Is this normal? It really slows down my desktop. What can I do? If nothing can be done about it, can I downgrade to the previous version? How?

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I changed jobs and as a result I used crackutil to remove my old companies (BES) IT policy from my BB.The new company activated via wireless activation (BES) and now I have 2 "desktop" contact lists. I am trying to sync with lotuc notes but cant as only the 2nd desktop list will sync. my original contacts are in the other desktop list and will not sync. I have tried going to contacts > options> typing rset and it deletes the lists but i cant get them to load from back up into one list.

I have a Blackberry 9300 Curve. When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.

This causes backup to run every time I connect instead of weekly like I have it setup. If I do a manual sync the date updates but if I do a manual backup the date stays unchanged. I'm running desktop 6.0.0.43 and OS 5.0.0.886. Does anyone know how to cure this problem?
