I need to restore my android system as it has some problems (I think because of some apps I installed and removed) How can I do that without loosing all the things I've saved on my mobile?

Since ICS is not performing well on the Ray, I would like to restore the "out-of-the-box-state". How do I do that? How do I remove ICS and put the original operating system back?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]
I am trying to update my Xperia x10 mini system software version 1.6 to 2.1 and I am able to the to the preparation point. When the I am instructed to switch off my Xperia and turn it on back again to contact with my PC I am getting the below window which states that I need to scroll the smart status bar and choose 'Connected USB device' on my phone and than 'Instal'... well.. I don't have these option. When I scroll down the status bar I get only 2 options: 'Connect USB' or Do not connect'. If I connect it it revert me back to the previous point when the system is asking to switch off and on the phone.

Both start with ".thumbdata--" and are followed by a number, one is 348 MB and the other is 470 MB in size! My card has 16GB capacity I delete them but they keep coming back whenever I use the camera, the gallery or change the wallpaper.
I allready re-installed the ICS and reboot my phone so this is not a solution
i am facing the problem in the battery(xperia mini pro) the charge gets over very soon it lasts only for 6 hours. i should charge my phone atleast 2 times daily how to save the battery even when the data traffic is on?

I read somewhere the other day that it maybe because ive synced my phone to something which i have done which is facebook but i went into settings - accounts & sync settings - manage accounts and removed the sync and its still not working. However i have bin getting a error msg saying someting about my password being incorrect for googlemail but i thinks its because i accidentally tried logging into it instead of just my normal email but when i try and remove the sync it says that "This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults(which deletes all your personal data). You do that in the settings application, under privacy." Which i dont want to have to do unless its the last resort

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my X10 mini pro through USB to my notebook, sd card file system crashes. Not always, but in 70% of cases. Formatting (FAT32) helps only. If i unmount the card, take it out of the phone and put it directly to the pc, it works fine, file sys never crashes.I have tried two different 4Gb Class 4 SD cards. Operared fine in phone, but same problem occured when connected to pc.I always unmount drive from windows before usb cable removal.Very annoying to take out the card for safe file transfer.Also GPS needs sometimes even 10-20+ mins to find satellites. I dont't think this is normal. Or is it?

The camera does not not get activated when I press teh Key avalable at the side of the phone. When i activate the camera from the application menu, I could focus and also use the flash to take picture. A green dot appears at the top left corner of the screen and blinks for some time indicating it is ready to shoot. I also get a beep sound as it should normally happen when the shot is successful. But, the pictures are not saved on my phone. I tried both inserting a sim card and without it.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi was wondering if anyone could help me to find my contacts! i used the backup function on my phone then reset the phone thinking i could restore my contacts! after resetting i went to restore and the percentage went up and said it had finished but still no contacts! call log restored though! i then tried to import the ones i had saved on my sim again it finishes loading but when i go into phonebook it comes up with the same screen saying, import sim contacts, sync and google sync. however when a sim contact txt me their name appeared! yet i cant get to them in my phonebook! also now my phone wont acsess the internet, i have enables data trafficing but it wont open the browser.what is going on! is there a simple solution i have missed?
