Motorola Defy :: Battery Life And Up Time
Oct 20, 2011I have noticed the battery on my defy+ goes down to 90% from full charge within an hour. This is my 3rd charge and I charged it for 3 hour for the first time like it said in the user manual. After it goes to 90% the battery holds good charge. It lasted me 12 hours with me playing around on it all night. Also I had my phone on for 2 days and I checked the phone up time in the settings and it said 55 mins. So I don't know if it has been rebooting itself maybe because of updates or a problem.

Beginning the day with a full battery, I only get about 2 hours of web browsing time, when doing browsing only. At that point I've only got about 20% battery left for making calls or sending email. Jul 29, 2010I have had my Blackberry 9700 for about 5 months. In the beginning I would get about three days out of my battery, with normal use. About a month ago I noticed the data symbol operating all the time (data in and data out) and my battery started lasting less than a day (even on days that it was hardly or never used). I took it back to Telstra (Australia) who sent it away and then provided me with a replacement (with no explanation of what was wrong with the first one.) Unfortunately the new one does exactly the same thing!
I have been on numerous websites looking for an answer to no avail. I have tried all the battery saving hints and check I leave nothing open. I have rebooted daily, still to no avail. I am on the brink of tossing it and going back to Nokia, which is a great shame as I had been really enjoying my Blackberry until now. The nature of my business means that I have to have a phone that is reliable and will work for more than 12 hours away from a power source.
I feel something is operating behind the scenes but I have added nothing. I haven't even put my email on this new one yet and I am a little tech challenged so I have loaded no new apps or anything, it is as new.
It is : Blackberry 9700, v5.0.0.351

I have this problem since the beginning. the phone freezes and restarts time b time when i am using it or sometimes even when i press the unlock key to use it the screen shows up and freezes then restart. most of the time it restarts when its on charging and the battery is above 90% and it always restarts when i use it after the battery is fully recharged. I also have a -89 to -93dBm 10asu signal strength which believe is good. But when on 2G there is no data connection, so does the Neo not have EDGE or is the phone faulty in respect to data and 3G data as I can only assume that is the cause of the poor battery life.

Aug 6, 2015I got my Z3 in March and when I got it I loved its long battery life. I'm a very heavy user of my phone and managed to get 8 hours of screen on time out of it in between charges. I'm not sure if it has been gradual or sudden but I've noticed that lately, the battery life on my phone only lasts for about 3 hours of screen on time. I use my phone for the same things as I did when I first got it.
When I got my phone it was preinstalled with 4.4.4, I got the 5.0.2 update in mid-april and I got the 5.1.1 update a few days ago.

Jul 3, 2010Yesterday i bought Xperia Z5 dual, i like it, it is a fantastic phone, i liked every thing in it but i have one problem, THE BATTERY. the Battery runs out quickly. when i use snapchat in 5 minutes the battery lose at least 3% also in youtube and games. Wi-FI scaninig, location, NFC, bluetooth are off, the brghtness is under 40%. i don't know why, is it from my phone or is it a mistake from the company.

After lot of experiments found the best setting: set to max/min to full.Now my phone is left with 50%+(sometimes even 80%) by evening.Theoritically variable CPU should be better, actually has behaved otherwise and phone is more responsive too.

I disabled Wireless settings , bluetooth etc even after that it is not possible to watch movie or video songs or play games for more than two hours.
