I received the software update as I am sure you all have, and went on the internet to download it.The installations instructions relate to PC companion and I have a Mac.
Does anyone know the procedure for installing the update from the Mac. Is it as easy as drag and drop from Mac to phone and then open the file?When are Sony Ericsson going to become a bit more Mac friendly? They need to embrace the Mac community not influence them to go down the iphone route.

I saw recently that update is available for my phone.I purchased it 1 month back.My PC COMPANION is showing that there is an update for my phone.After my phone is being prepared for update in STEP 2.It is suddenly displaying ERROR UPDATING.Also,PC companion is showing exclamation mark on my SD card symbol on home screen of PC Companion.
there will be no 2.2 update for x10 mini. This is my first sony ericsson phone and will be my last if they do not continuously update software!I have a lack of internal memory and can only install limited apps because there is no function to download them to the sd card instead!
Whenever I connect my Phone Xperia Neo V (4.0.2.A.0.42) the message prompt that New Version available for my phone, which is 4.0.2.A.0.62 and when i try to update, it download something, and my phone restart, but when there's time to write (green LED) it says, there's no update for your phone ...
I have an x10 whit broken USB connector.looking on the web is a common stuff whit USB on that model.....(SE what about quality on flagship phone like that)?The SE repair center in my city told me that I cant have it repaired under warranty because I loose proof of purchase...N problem for charging, I have buyed an external charger...But for updating OS?ANY WAY to have OS and update loaded WHITIUT using USB?Why some update cant be done OTA?
I have been using xperia neo v for the past few months. Recently i updated it to ICS. However I can't take screenshots after that. I used to take screenshots by long pressing powerbutton and screenshot option. But screenshot option is not available there. I have also tried pressing the power button and volume down. No use.

Im just starting using xperia x8. im in the middle of updating my phone from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1. I have followed the steps given but still got problem in "Prepare Section". It displays 'Unable to install or start phone software update components' .
my X10 crashes at random moment since I updated it to android 2.1. It happens while playing games, making a movie and today it happend while I was talking to my boss on the phone. Also, when it crashes, sometimes it keeps crashing just after booting. I already tried to remove the sd-card and see if that makes any difference, but it doesn't. Then I ran the update to android 2.1 through SEUS again to see if that makes any difference, but again, it doesn't. It still crashed while I was shooting a video. I don't really know what to do anymore. I was thinking about going to the t-mobile-shop (my provider) tomorrow to see what they have to say
my phone does not restart after the latest android update?
its been nerly 12hours and all its doing is turning on then off, i cant do anything with the phone, it dosnt let me turn it on or off, i cant do nuffing. am i ment to have a memory card in for this?
after updating my X10 to 2.3, the music player skips during playback very often, and it's becoming near unlisten-able. I did a repair and that didn't solve the problem, and it appears i'm not the only one with this issue after some internet searching. I highly doubt SE are going to release another update fixing this problem.
Since updating to 2.3.3 ive had nothing but trouble, music problems, cant change ringtone, text message alerts , havent even got the option in settings to master reset to start from scratch, Im getting to the end of my tether with this phone

when ever i open any of the applications like messages,contacts,dail pad... it opes very slow and when i close tat it closes very slow i dont know wats the problem.. i updated ics 4.0 just 2 days ago.
I am trying to update my Xperia x10 mini system software version 1.6 to 2.1 and I am able to the to the preparation point. When the I am instructed to switch off my Xperia and turn it on back again to contact with my PC I am getting the below window which states that I need to scroll the smart status bar and choose 'Connected USB device' on my phone and than 'Instal'... well.. I don't have these option. When I scroll down the status bar I get only 2 options: 'Connect USB' or Do not connect'. If I connect it it revert me back to the previous point when the system is asking to switch off and on the phone.
Ok so iv been trying to update my x10 all evening with no luck i have the latest companion downloaded iv backed up my data iv disabled my anti virus software still no good. i live in the republic of Ireland and im with the meteor network! im currently on 1.6 android platform! i get as far as step 2(prepare) on the phone software update but it just says INSTALLER ERROR UNABLE TO INSTALL OR START PHONE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS
I have bought the handset (Xperia Pro MK16i) less than 1 month back and recently updated it to ICS by PCC.After the update i observed that the gallery albums and the pictures in it keeps refreshing continuously.I reinstalled ICS using PCC again bt still the same.I have googled this bt no one seemed to have faced a similar problem to mine.
I received an update notification today on my Xperia mini. For whatever reason Sony only provide this update via a PC. Tried to carry out the update on 2 computers without success. On one computer PC companion returns an eror message at the 'preparing computer' stage - no help on how to rectify the problem. On my laptop, PC companion switches off my phone and then freezes the computer. I di on one attempt get to the 'update' stage where I was presented with some odd manipulations of disconnecting and re-connecting the phone. I followed the instructions but then update process didn't continue.Can anyone cast any light on this or better still can Sony provide the update OTA?
I am facing one strange issue ,I have recently updated my software from GB to ICS and after that the messages sent to me from my friends are not updating with current date ,it means that I have to find my messages in conversation ,like if somebody send me TEXT msg just now ,I should not look for that message in conversation history with that person. Please suggest to resolve the issue.
I synchronized my X10mini pro with the SE service [URL] and all contacts were uploaded successfully. I edited a contact (changed the e-mail address from "home" to "work") through the web interface and saved it.-However, when checking the contact through the web interface, it appears blank (I've tried using both Firefox and Internet Exploder, logging in and out etc)...When synching from the phone, the contact showed up with the updated information, so that worked fine, but it's not good I can't see it anymore....
