After installing a system update of android 3.0 (via PC companion) on my Xperia X10, i am unable to access my music and photos on the phone. Also figured out that mediascape no longer exists on my phone after the software upgrade.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a new X10 mini Pro 2 days back and tried taking some pictures on the phone. The camera does not not get activated when I press teh Key avalable at the side of the phone. When i activate the camera from the application menu, I could focus and also use the flash to take picture. A green dot appears at the top left corner of the screen and blinks for some time indicating it is ready to shoot. I also get a beep sound as it should normally happen when the shot is successful. But, the pictures are not saved on my phone. I tried both inserting a sim card and without it.

I recently installed the OTA Android 6 update.All seems fine, except today I wanted to copy some of my photos off the phone and put them onto my PC. But when I connect the phone to the pc all it shows is the icon of the Nexus 5 but does not show any folders nor files! Any hidden setting somewhere that I have to enable or is there something else I need to do? BTW, I have my phone unlocked (not rooted) when I connected the phone so it is unlocked while connected to the PC via the USB cable.

I get through all the stages, everything works fine, no errors reported, everything reset on the phone, all looked great. But, when I check the version its' still at 1.6. I follow the steps and it shows it sent the recovery image and when reboot, it optimizes the apps as well ,however when i go to recovery, i get android dead icons with X.
After multiple tries of trying to update Android for my Xperia X10 mini pro phone via the PC Companion as well as the downloaded Update Service (after reading similar threads) i am still at a loss! I am in Mumbai using an Airtel SIM.
In the case of the PC Companion, it goes smoothly until the Prepare step (where no Previous & Next buttons appear). After "preparing" the phone nothing happens. I tried pressing Enter & then it goes onto the Update panel. But here the Download status bar is just mpty & doesnt download anything.
With the Update Service, it runs fine till the Connect step. After following the instructions once again nothing happens. Here there is only a Previous button & no Next button. Pressing Enter takes you to the Previous panel.
In both cases I have seen no message appear on the phone at all & no sign of anything being recognized on either of the softwares.
When I try to update my xperia mini pro to Android ICS through PC Companion, the progress is as follows:

i got the update notification for xperia x10 few days back, i quickily connected it to pc using pc companion and took the backup, then i started the update process, it reached till prepared, and after that it started initialization, but here the problem started. it was showing the initialization for 4 hours, i thought may be it hanged so i stopped it and disconnected the phone and restarted the update process, same thing happened this time. the progress bar doesnt show any progress after initialization, it showed 100% in initialization after some 4 hours but after tht nothing happened.
i dont knw the problem, it can't be network problem, as i have a 1mbps connection and i checked the speed also before starting the update,
i kept the update process as it is for 10 hours, but it still didnt show any progress from the last time.
I have x10 mini.The latest facebook app, 1.8.1 or whatever, I just cant get it to work properly, Often, or almost everytime, just says "loading" on an almost empty page.But the page does not load most of the times, and when it does, pics etc are missing. Just works very slow.
I have even re-installed my phone just now, but its still the same.The funny thing is that when this last facebook update was released a month ago? or so, it worked very fast and nice.Now for the past 2 weeks its almost unusable. As I correctly followed the steps from PC Companion, still the firmware version shows 1.6 version. The only change that I saw in my mobile was the Backup and Restore was added to my home screen.My questions are:
If I beckup my files would the software will update to 2.1 version?Even if I try to update the software through PC Companion, is it necessary that the software have to be available in my country ?Btw, I am using T-mobile operator in Macedonia (FYROM).
