I want to update the software...have installed backup and restore and undertaken backup. Then go to to the software upgrade and apparently the "SE server is overloaded and I should try again at a later time". Hmm...it's been too busy for almost a moth..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've bought a new iPhone 4s about 3 months ago. First upgrade went fine with iTunes (ver 10.6.1), so I know it cannot be the connection. For the last 3 months I've been trying to upgrade to iOs 5.1.1, but keep getting an error -3259 message (server has timed out). I've checked my network settings, firewall settings, and have even tried to upgrade using other internet connections, but still no upgrade. This is a big problem, because it starts downloading, and then just freezes. I'm not on an uncapped internet connection, and have lost alot of my package to just be disappointed (the upgrade being 803mb) and I'm starting to resent my once favourite purchase.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my 9700 for about two years and three months. About three months ago, the battery started dying quickly (under a day). Over the last couple of weeks, that charge last less than five hours so I bought a new one yesterday. After charging it for a day, the new battery last a similar amount of time today. The phone seemed to be busy (the spinning clock) a bit more often, but I would have to guess that this was just the problem progressing and not related to the new battery.I looked into other solutions and tried pulling the storage card and battery at the same time, as well as turning off compression. Those didn't help.
The phone started going busy on me a bit more after that, and now it's gotten to the point where I haven't been able to do anything with the phone for hours. Is there a way to stop it? Is there a way to format this thing without going through the software?As for apps, not much was running as I've been pulling the battery constantly today. On an average day I may check emails, send texts, maybe bridge to my Playbook, use the Sports Illustrated app, or use the browser. I'm not sure what version of the OS I have, though I update fairly regularly.

When I first turned it on, it seemed ok, but then determined it would text but not talk, seemed that it was some kind of special setting or software blip? Tried w/ 2 different working SIM cards - results the same, 2 different Razors, next to each other, one works other doesn't so not the network. When looking for how to change that, suddenly got an orange screen with FTS on top, lot of code, then contact for help but specific site doesn't exist. Took it to AT&T. Guy didn't know anything but pushed a few random buttons and got it back to where it originally was -- will text but not call. (get a "network busy" message when call out, goes straight to voicemail when call in to it.)
There is an "airplane mode" that is mentioned in the manual and would explain the behavior but it doesn't show up on the menu. Reset didn't resolve it.Phone is unlocked, originally T-Mobile. Last owner used it with AT&T There are no Minolta updates for AT&T w/ this phone but there is a T-Mobile one. Not sure if that'll mess up the unlock?
so i jailbroke my wifes phone and mine. when she calls me, it goes through fine over 3g, using my3g. but when i try calling her, the moment she accepts, it errors on my end saying she is busy. anyone else get this and have a fix?also it only lasts about a minute before getting disconnected

I've looked on several forums and found that this is a common problem. The only fix is to remove the battery to reset the phone. But after several uses of various Media Apps the problem comes back. Is there something I can doing to eliminate this issue, or is there going to be a new OS upgrade that fixes this problem. I'm currently running 7.1.0 Bundle 457.
