Oct 24, 2012I just got my new Ray yesterday. Automatically with the pc companion it upgraded to ICS. I tried today to connect it to my wifi. I go to Settings > wireless and networks > Wifi. I turn it on, in the next screen I click on Scan - and nothing. It wont scan and so wont connect to any wifi network.

Jan 17, 2011I have an xperia x10 on at&t (still only with android 1.6) and it has been working fine until a couple of days ago. My wi-fi has been working fine (except for the occasional "unable to start wifi") until one day it just stopped working. I was connected to my home wifi network when all of a sudden it just disconnected. I proceeded to go into my settings to turn it back on, however, when I checked the box, it turned on for about 5 seconds then turned off and said "unable to scan for networks." I have tried everything I can to get it back to working. I have tried:
-Taking out the battery, sim, and memory card for a few minutes. replacing them all and restarting the phone. -doing the above but while everything is out holding the back key for 30 seconds, then putting everything back in and holding the power button for 10 seconds. -Plugging the phone into my computer
The only thing I haven't done is the factory reset. I do NOT want to do this because I have heard that it only sometimes works and if it doesn't work, then I cant't get any of my apps or anything back on my phone and it will be completely useless to me. I do not want to lose all the data on my phone because I have no internet currently, and therefore can not backup anything.
Xperia Z3 :: Pin Code Not Accepted
Apr 19, 2015I had some problem with my brand new Xperia Z3. Thought I'd just reboot the phone, that should fix the problem. After reboot, Xperia asks for PIN code as normally. Only problem is, that it does not accetp the pin code that I know for sure is the right one! I don't know what else to do but re-enter the right pin code hoping that the phone would suddenly realize that it is the right pin. That did not happen. Instead, the phone decided to reset to factory defaults. Now I need to set up everything again, including installing 10+ applications that I've just installed.
After resetting to factory defaults, the pin code is accepted again. Then the question is: seems like the phone had somehow gotten the idea that pin code had been changed. Could this be the reason or what? I'd really like to make 100% sure that this incorrect PIN hassle does not happen again!

Nov 2, 2012Have just upgraded xperia pro to the latest android 4 using the sony software, the phone has not been modified just official sony updates done. Software installed ok but on first turning the phone back on it is asking for a number, have entered the 6 digit number that I used for McAfee but it does not work, nor does the O2 default pin code work. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I suspect that it is the McAfee software that has made the phone fail, McaAfee causes problems on pc's.

Feb 8, 2010My N73 worked correctly until 3 week ago,suddenly i see when i press button 2, it write 7 ! and continue whit 887734... !then i reset it by code " *#7370# " but problem not solved !i tried 3rd time but the problem was existing yet !Then I opened the keypad and clean it, and restarted again,it worked and all of keys was correct. i set a lock code, and it was working true,until yesterday. Since yesterday, it didn't work , I get my IMEI to a site, and it gives me a ten digit code that calls master code, and said if I enter this code instead of my forgotten code ( I didn't forget it,it didn't work) it will accept by phone. But when I enter the master code it says "code error" too. I tried to hardware reset , but when i hold 3,* & green buttons and turn it on, phone asks me "continue using the phone in offline mode? " (it asks since when i tried to enter deference codes for several times), and i should to answer this and press other keys instead of these 3 buttons, so it didn't work too, I opened it key pad and clean again,but it couldn't help.
