Xperia X10 :: None Of The Hardware Keys In Sony Work?
Jan 14, 2012
I have a Sony Xperia 10, it is an unlocked phone. The warranty period is over, today all of a sudden all of the phone's hardware keys stopped working (the home key, back key and the other one. Tried doin a hardware reset but nothing and I realy cant use or do anything with the phone.
hi i have a problem that the multimedia keys under touch screen and above keyboard does not illuminate any more ( no light) when. i open the walkman but it still works.
Soft keys doesn't work but some time its work i have to touch again and again to click home and back button , when i open camera application even i cant go back because there bottom dots not clickable and not working on my mobile, i factory reset my mobile using pc compaing too but still i have that problem, and chekced using safe mode.
I updated my x10 mini pro a few days ago to android 2.1 The problem is that after the update the menu, home and back keys don't work after screen timeout so I have to press the key on the top of the phone to activate the screen and then unlock it.The point is why the hardware keys on the front don't work after screen timeout? Pressing the key on the top and then unlocking the phone can be really annoying...
i have just brought a new sony xperia mini pro ski17 a month ago i worke very well but last sice 4 to 5 days it was switching off o either getting hung. Now it is switched off whenever i am tring to on it, it gets on but again it gets off so iam tryingto connect it to the pc but it again gets off
When I lock my BB Curve 9300, I can't unlock it. All 3 convenience keys (right, left and mute) won't work. I have to take the battery out to get it to unlock
Every keys of my curve 8520 don't work. I have tried many times to remove the battery but it is always the same, the phone start and ask my PIN but i can't log in because all the keys don't work! Even those witch are above. I have tried the safe mode but it doesn't work (because i think the key don't work)...
i am from Singapore and i can't seems to find any blackberry service centre here. i have only bought the Torch for less than 6 months and all of the keys won't work for my Torch. only the touch screen is functionable. where can i send my Torch for servicing? there should be a warranty, right?
Some keys in the keyboard don't work in my Atrix. Keys y, h, and b to be specific. I tried 3 different keyboards. The keys work OK when flipped horizontal. This makes me wonder if its a hardware problem as the keys y,b, and h are in a almost straight line on the keyboard.
When I put the provided headphones into the phone it played the music really well through them but when I tried to use the buttons on the headphones like skip, play/pause and volume none of them worked. Help Much appreciated.
Not sure if theres a defect on my S2, or if they changed how the volume keys work from the S1, but on my S1, I could press the volume keys up or down and the ringer volume would change, from silent all the way up to loud.
But on my Storm2, the volume keys don't do anything. At first I thought the phone had a defect and the keys didnt work, but I installed QuickLaunch and I'm able to scroll through the QL menu using the volume keys. So the question is, can you guys control the ringer volume using the volume keys? Or do the volume keys not work that way on the S2?
I have the 8900 and my carrier is Tata Docomo. None of the keys and the trackball are working, This includes the mute key on top of the phone, the lock key, the side push button keys , . . all keys are not working. And neither is the trackball.I flashed the OS, as in reinstalled the OS, 5.0.090 (Platform 4.0.023) but that didnt solve the problem.
I've also plugged out the media card, to avoid any conflicts.Have done hard resets of course, but thats not helped either.Except for the keys not functioning, the phone is otherwise functioning, I can recieve calls, which I of course cant pick up. I am being able to use it as a modem and connect to the internet using Desktop Manager. The Desktp manager is detecting the phone, too.
The Desktop manager version I am using is 5.0.1.11.Out of the 252.5 M device space available, I have 131.0 M free.
I have a blackberry torch 9800 and the menu key & back key doesn't work when i slide my phone up. It only works whenever I use the full touch option, it used to work before but it just suddenly stopped.
When ever i open the slide of the cell, the front speaker to listen to call, and the two keys stop working, and when i close the slide, they again start working.has anyone faced this problem?i have tried to update the software, but it says ur software is already updated.
Recently I have found that my touchscreen as been encountering some problems. First of all it very often freezes and the touchscreen wont respond and if it does it lags behind. But the most annoying thing is the problem I have with the keypad. Whenever I am sending a message, whether that be Facebook or a text using the keypad the line of keys that the space is on will not work. Every other key will work except for that one line.
Without warning, my soft keys stopped working. When I press one, they activate whatever is on the touch screen above them. (For instance, the menu soft key is right below the widget on my home page for contacts. When I press the menu soft key, it activates the contacts widget rather then accessing menus.) I tried a factory reset (I'll spare you the frustrating story of how the backup app I paid for doesn't seem to have worked as promised for me, though thousands of others love it), which included clearing the cache and was done using the external keys not via the reset option in settings. Freshly restarted, prior to adding any of the apps or changing anything, the soft keys still exhibit that behaviour. (Though, come to think of it, I also think the wallpaper stayed, which makes no sense to me. Everything else had to be reconfigured and the reset/cache clearing didn't throw any errors...hmz...)
The Droid 2 keyboard has a back button, which I've been using non-stop since the soft keys went out on me. And a search button, but I never use that. I can get by without a way to simulate having the home key (though I wouldn't mind that). But, as you can imagine, the lack of a functioning Menu key is a serious impediment. I love my Droid 2 enough that, rather than use my "new every 2" to upgrade to a Droid 4, I'm hoping to either fix my issue (which could include fixing the soft keys OR findind a keyboard shortcut for the Menu key) or buy a "new" Droid 2.
So, anyone have either a troubleshooting suggestion other than a reset (tried twice now) and/or know a magical shortcut on the physical keyboard that will do the same thing as the Menu soft key?(Phone is not rooted and has the latest version of Android that Verizon pushed...Looks like 2.3.4)
I've noticed something strange on my Bionic. If I enable any of the screen lock mechanisms (password, pin, or pattern), the home and search keys stop working. I have to hit the back key multiple times if I'm within an app to get back to my homescreen so I can open the app drawer.
My iPhone 4 volume keys and silent/ringer keys are not working and it doesn't ring and vibrate when i get a call or text and neither the sound working when i use any app like games etc. but when i go to settings and change the ringtone then its ringing and the sound is working when i play music but there is a problem as well the headphone dock is not working.
I updated today to Maps 3.01. (To be noted that Ovi Suite still considers there is a new version of Maps available and would download and install 3.01 again any times I click on update.) When starting Maps the load screen with progress bar appears, then I can see an "empty" map. No keys work. After a few seconds (around 10 or so) the phone restarts.I deleted Cities folder and the file QF, rebooted, reinstalled etc. nothing helps.
the thing is that when i stay on one app for a bit or i leave my phone about doing nothig on it, it seems my outside function keys (ie. settings, menu, back button) won't work! i've read about how the x10 has unresponsive keys to it bu i never thought that i'd have to turn my phone on an off 10 times just to look at my face book!
Can move the Home, Back and Recent buttons down off the screen? I have seen this option on the Oneplus One as a setting - device - buttons that is on the lollipop version too. I find this layout most annoying on the Z5 E6683 as it gets in the way of most apps and reduces the actual space available on screen.
Can't seem to use the hardware keys when navigating through the applications and settings. I can't exit any application, must turn off and restart phone.
How can i hard reset my Neo V? I forgot my PIN Code and now there's no way i can use my device anymore. What are the keys to hard reset Neo V device? It seems that the Power + Volume Down + Home Keys doesn't work. My devices is currently running ICS.
