Nokia :: 5800 XM Firmware V50.0.005 Not User Friendly
May 1, 2010I have recently upgraded my 5800's firmware from V40 to V50 and I find that latest firmware is not as user friendly as V40. The kinetic scrolling feature is definitely inferior and significantly less responsive than V40. Could anyone advise how could I remove V50 and go back to V40?

Jun 5, 2012I upgraded my firmware with PC Companion.I have been using my Xperia without any problem till the update for a year. After the update I placed my sim card, it asked for SIM PIN and the pin accepted. I waited for the region, chose it, then it poped out Please insert SIM and restart. I tried everything, reseat the SIM,checked my SIM, it is fine with other mobiles, wiped it, as I said before it asks for pin, then I went through changing the pin number, it said there is no sim card.

May 28, 2010I'm base in Sydney Australia and have just received a msg from Nokia that I can update my firmware for my N900.(firmware version 10.2010.19.)The problem is that I receive a message that I could not update because of: poor-quality ,slow or intermittent internet connection. This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.

Jun 9, 2010I wanted to intsall Mail For Exchange, and the Nokia E72 NAM doesnt seem to have it when I bought it (unless you can direct me to it). I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).
