Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Rear Speakers Have Suddenly Become Almost Inaudible
Mar 6, 2012
I have an Xperia Neo and the rear speakers have suddenly become almost inaudible even at maximum volume, now i can't hear the notifications, it ringing or anything coming from the rear speaker...
what should i do, i have a local-ish Sony store i could take it too, does the guarantee cover this, will they be able to repair this fault or perhaps replace the device?
I was taking some picture and suddenly I got a black screen. Then whenever I use the rear camera it gives me only black screen if I tried to take photo it took a while then give me a defect photo that i can't open. It doesn't work for both photos and videos. The front camera works fine. I noticed also that I have an issue with the flash too that when I open it I can't close it except with a restart.  I have tried the following:
1-) force shutdown with power button and volume up 2-) force shutdown with the off key. 3-) factory reset 4-) repair through pc companion.  but unfortunately all doesn't work.
I listen to the phone's FM radio a lot and and play some of my music, and that side of it is important for me. I have a few different earpieces/buds including a couple of SE's that have come with various phones, All was fine yesterday, but this morning I went to listen to some music and the sound was barealy audible - it was playing, but through the earpieces it was extremely feint. Plays fine through the speaker however. I tried six different earpieces, one that came with the phone so is known to be compatible, one that came with my second phone an X10 mini, and two that are generic but work fine with the Ray, and they all had barely-audible sound the same.
I tried the same earphiones with the X10 mini, and all work fine so the earphones are all functioning perfectly.I downloaded a free music player app to test a new installation/registry/files/whatever, but same results. So I suspected a software fault, and did a factory reset (yes, it is that important to me) but still with the same result.BUT that was when I noticed ... when recreating a couple of things again I brought up the FM radio to have it scan for stations as the reset left it empty. Although it recognised that the earpiece/aerial was connected ok there was no movement of the scanning progress-bar/window and then it closed down leaving the tuning-scale on screen but no stations ... I could manually swipe up and down the tuning scale no problem, however no stations were heard/found/registered.
I repeated the 'empty' radio on the X10 mini so I could test the earpiece/aerial function, and when then retuning-in it found all the stations in a heartbeat with both SE earpoeces - I didn't bother to repeat it any further with the others, no point. It is easy to suspect the earpieces until they play the music fine on the other phone and also scan/play FM radio channels... and it is also easy to suspect the phono/wire/connection until you realise that they are transmitting the played music just not at a listenable volume without straining... and also i is easy to think the aerial-function is faulty and it doesn't interface, until on another phone it grabs plenty of channels in its scan in just moments It hasn't been dropped or in water or anything, just worked yesterday evening then not this morning and it was only on my bedside table overnight.
I am still happily on Gingerbread, haven't bothered to go to ICS, not that fusssed about it TBH - so it hasn't been caused in an upgrade/incompatibility problem with ICS.I actually did upgrade to ICS hoping this might cure it, but it was exactly the same then too!So I flashed the phone back to GB (Flashtool+appropriate .ftf), but still it was exactly the same - very low sound and no station search/reset And that's where it has stopped at now.i am thinking I have missed something blindingly obvious, but now I am too close to figure that out anyway, plus also am undoubtedly in need of someone expert.
I have a xperia z2 and my problem is that it does not work the rear camera is in black and I get that the camera is not available, but I put the front camera and works without any problem.
My z2 cameras rear and front have stopped working for no reason, when I try to open the camera I get ' unfortunately, camera has stopped'. I've done a factory reset and I've also done the software update and nothing!
I'm having a problem with my Xperia mini pro front facing camera, I can't switch between the front and the rear camera, the only camera that's working is the rear one, and there's no option for switching it, I just realized this problem today.
My phone was in the water for 1 or 2 seconds because I slipped and I fell into the pool. This was the first time my Z2 get in touch with water.I checked and the sound is bad now. Bad quality. I believe it needs to be repaired, right?
1... times when I call the sound of tone is sharp and gives a very annoying vibration , whether in normal speaker. 2... the lower speaker depends on the day it works or not even playing the same songs.
For some reason my speakers volume are extremely low where the lower speaker doesn't function at all. Headphone jack not plugged in, did not go into or even near water either. Tried shaking and blowing the jack, still max volume is extremely low.
I'm trying to throw music audio to bluetooth speakers with the Z2 and it doesn't work. The weird part is phone calls work perfectly through the bluetooth speakers, but throw doesn't work when playing music. The device also seems confused - the throw icon is highlighted in cyan, and the device under the menu is also highlighted, but the audio continues to play through the phone's speakers.  It has the same behavior with my UE BOOM speaker and with my car's system (mObridge MOST). My phone's software build number is 17.1.1.A.0.402.
Maybe the solution is staring right at me, but I can not figure out how to use the phones internal speakers for music playback that's loud enough to hear? When I use the speaker option for hands free phone calls, it's loud and you can clearly hear, but not so with playing music or a video.
I just bought an Xperia Z5 Compact. I was verry happy with it for a few hours , until i realised that i don`t hear my phone when it rings even if it was on maximum sound lvl. After a while , i realised that the sound is ok for like a split secound , after that it just randomly lowers with about 2-3 levels for everything , ringtones , music , videos etc. Â I tried all settings setups nothing is improving.
I've just purchased the Experia Z5 compact when I plug my new Sony headphones into the device I can hear the music perfectly but it also plays through the speakers at the same time.....
Is it possible to force the audio output to be played through the speakers of the Xperia Ray, even when headphones are plugged in ? I know it is possible to do that when you listen to FM radio, but can you also do it when you listen to something else ? (... and particularly when you listen to your own music ?)
My rear camera picture seems to be blurred when i take a picture within 1metre but seems okay if i take a picture within 5cm? same thing occurs when i record a video either in 4k mode or not. this problem happens after i update my os to 5.0. so i cant really use my camera now except for front camera.i cant use my rear camera because the blur problem.
My Sony Z5 has a problem where if headphones (or an official headset - I've tried both) are plugged in, the audio plays through the accessory BUT continues to play through the phones speakers AS WELL.Â
My N8 suddenly hung up and suddenly deleted all of my homescreens. It would have been okay for me to set all three screens back to their original configuration but unfortunately, I can't edit the main homescreen. I can edit the two additional screens but NOT the main (1st) homescreen. It just says homescreen is full! Last thing I installed was the Xmas theme Rugge from the Nokia store.
For whatever reason when I load up my camera app, only the front facing camera will work. i have gone through all the settings in the camera but nothing will let me select the main camera. i've had it for 3 days and it's worked fine till about an hour ago. the only thing I did was install angry birds and hanging with friends. everything else seems to work fine on the phone. here is what i've tried to correct the problem so far:
-removed angry birds and hanging with friends -removed all apps i've downloaded since i got the phone -did a factory reset
All it does is turn off my phone or it will automatically go back to my home screen. My front camera works only on snapchat. I reset my phone twice and turned it off multiple times, I also took it to the AT&T store and they said theres nothing wrong with it but to just reset my phone. after i reset my phone twice it still doesnt work.
My iPhone 5s (16GB) running on iOS 7.1.1 having a problem with the camera ...
When I first got it from the carrier it was okay and focus was working perfectly, now whenever I try to zoom or focus it just gives a blur vision, it takes a normal pictures of far views tho' ... Â
I didn't try anything else than tapping on my rear camera and it did nothing useful as it still not focusing on stuff ...
so recently my ray suddenly lights up even when not in use, this will go on for about a minute & i can't stop it,first it'll light up then turns off after 3-5 secs it'll light up again..
All of a sudden my Xperia Ray with ICS build 4.1.B.0.587 does not show up on PC Companion when connected to my PC via the USB Cable. Have tried removing and reinstalling PC Companion. Also tried reinstalling the latest drivers for ICS as per thread [URL]
The USB ports and the cable are fine, as I am able to connect other devices through the USB port and able to charge the phone using the same USB cable.
However the problem continues to be the same, no phone shows up on PC Companion .
I believe a smartphone is pretty much useless if I can't connect it to the PC to transfer media.
I have a problem with the camera on my htc one when ever i try to take photos with the camera on the rear i get an ugly black mark on my pictures how can i remove this mark.
Recently I damaged the rear housing on my HTC One M9, the damage to my knowledge was only external as all features of the phone still worked perfectly (including NFC). I ordered a replacement rear housing online from etradesupply. I am not sure if the replacement was genuine but I can say it was high quality and seemed legit.
I fitted the rear housing only touching the two screws at the top of the phone making sure I did not move and flex cables or antenna's.
For some reason the NFC has never worked since, I have tested on various different tags / payment readers and still no success.
I purchased iPhone 4s recently from India and it is under warranty. My iPhone 4s rear glass is broken but the phone is working perfectly fine. So how much I need to pay to get it repaired/replaced in India?
