View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Pro's physical keyboard (qwerty) has changed to azerty after updating ICS using Sony Bridge for Mac. I just bought my Xperia Pro (SI 1261-5019.2) yesterday, June 20, here in the Philippines.
According to Johan's post in this thread [URL]..Phones that have not updated to ICS yet will not get this problem when updating. (Written June 15).. Apparently there are some phones which still get this problem.
The solution has been to bring it to a Sony service center and they'd revert it back to GB. I can't just go there because I'd hate to drive for hours just to get to the nearest service center. I've tried calling but there seems to be a problem with their phone lines.
The temporary fix, which is to use the input Chinese keyboard, cannot be applied to my phone. Because there is no Chinese keyboard in my input selection! I've also tried the repair function in Sony's PC Companion for Windows, but it did nothing.
To the support staff, will there be any update in the future that fixes this issue? The qwerty keyboard is the reason why I bought this phone. With this problem, I'm starting to regret not getting an HTC One V or maybe an Xperia Sola.(Also: If there is any way to remap the buttons in my keyboard without having to root,

However, under "Settings - Language&Keyboard" there is NO menu item for Android keyboard.... As it appears, she uses the standard T3 enty mode and simple does not like the recommended words. There is no way to set it back now and I am thinking about playing it back to 1.6 despite the advantages coming with it.
Is there another way to change this setting?

[No Flashing] Everything went fine except the physical keyboard settings I guess. Because after updating, when I started typing using the physical keyboard, the key wasn't matching. my keyboard has arabic characters as well. But after the ICS update the symbols on the physical keyboard (the ones in blue) dont correspond when I type them out. E.g:

If I had one wish for improving the Mini Pro software it would be to the select, copy, cut, paste type functions. Currently you have to use the inbuilt/native Android methods to acheive the above, which are pretty horrible to use imho. I believe this isn't making use of the great keyboard the Mini Pro has been blessed with.can you update the firmware so that you can select text by using something like SHIFT + CURSOR keys and also add support for the copy, cut, paste with something again like SHIFT + C, SHIFT + X and SHIFT + V.

It does not pop up reliably when I touch a text entry field. When it does not, the Paste command appears instead. When I turn the phone off, and then back on, it appears to work correctly.

I have the problem that when I type something with my Iphone like in Whatsapp or the Messanger or something else it will stuck and after like 5 seconds the typed will pop up in an instant. Also today I restarted it with pressing the Home button and the Power button at the same time and it got to the connect with Itunes screen. I`ve connected it and it works the same as always. The Keyboard gets stuck nearly all the time.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought an iphone 14 months ago. Sunday I did the required update and it killed the keyboard function entirely. Isn't it lovely that Apple cannot fix or replace the unit that their own software destroyed at no cost to me ($200 plus tax to get a replacement). I have two more years to pay on my contract and I don't understand how a company this large can leave their customers (ME!) high and dry like this. I could understand had I damaged the phone by being careless or if the product was something cheap, but I took care of this expensive product and Apple should be accountable when their upgrades destroy a persons property.
