Recently i noticed half of my apps n games got duplicated... and they cannot be deleted showing "operation failed" what is the cause of this? and how can this be fixed? i think its possible with formatting the memory card but i would rather avoid that.

Ive inadvertently deleted some text messages from my w910 and need to try and get them back, ive accessed my sim card through a pc/sc compatible smart card reader but the software doesn't show ant text messages, it does show everything else though (ie contacts ) so i know the reader is working. do SE phones store text messages in the phone? if so is there anyway to retrieve deleted messages?

And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.
I found in the internet forum for the same problem but not solved. Also I have friend with same phone type and problem, bring to Sony Ericsson service and they have fix it. But the problem just back in next few days. They said the problem is on the flexible. I can't make a call with it.
My phone was working fine so far. Today I wanted to synchronize my phone with my PC but it couldn't recognize my phone, what should I do?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen i click on my apps or games menu it says operation failed. i was looking through the forums and found a solution except that solution was for when you could actually access the folder and only when you select a specific app/game it said operation failed. i cant access the folder at all. is there anyway at all to fix this problem for free without having to resort to that wotanserver thing? im not being cheap, i just think its rubbish to be charged anything at all to fix a problem like this when it is the manufacturers fault for selling faulty phones which all have a common problem which isn't caused by a users ill-treatment. and another question, why cant i seem to find software to flash it myself without that wotan thing? i mean, surely its just software that you run. someone must have cracked it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHad my vivaz a month or so now supplied by 3, it came with some demos already installed on the phone, i went to try tetris but instead of offering to let me play it i had to buy it. Anyway i bought the game from my phone and when i go to play, the bottom half of the screen is filled with a cursor interface (with up down left right buttons then A B C D along the bottom) and the top half is tetris.... when i start the game i get asked if i want sound enabled but cant see the yes or no options beacuse of the interface blocking bottom half of phone (no matter what, all i can do is continue with the sound on which is annoying!) then i get a option to play game, i press random buttons and then the game starts.... i cant move the blocks left or right and i cant see where they are landing. Can you remove the cursor interface on the vivaz? Dont want to buy anymore games unless i get this same problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using this w595 phone for less than a year, and it started having problems. At first, i used my cable to send lots of songs to my phone. It didn't work, and my 2GB memory card spoiled. I had to transfer stuff to my phone by bluetooth. A few weeks later, i used the cable to transfer my photos to my computer. All my music suddenly disappeared. After i restarted the phone a few times, my music came back. The latest problem that i could not put up with was that all my games including the default games, disappeared after i transferred photos from my phone with the cable(again). I did not eject it properly. I tried restarting my phone several times, but it still didn't work, can anybody help me?

I have spent a lot of time downloading stuff only to find that it is "not supported" or doesn't work for a variety of other reasons. Very frustrating. The Vodafone and SE sites are fairly limited in depth. SE is also so slow it is almost not worth opening. Today I downloaded two jar files. One worked and the other didn't. I have no idea why. However 50% is a good ratio based on the experience I have had of trying to get anything to work on my vivaz.

But i do have a problem with some of the apps included with the phone for example: The facebook app (included) just says "Wait" The twitter app (included) never signs me in if i press: "Sign In", but it works if i press "have an account?" it logs me in? WTF? Google maps, Ebuddy and more doesn't work either of pretty much the same reason.I checked with my phone company (Telia DK), and we have full 3G support where i live. However i don't have Wi-Fi here right now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI performed a firmware update on my Elm j10i2 phone. I am able to connect with a Wi-Fi and browse web pages with it, but i cannot use Wi-Fi anymore for e-mail or Java Me apps.
My settings are:
Internet settings: allow local connections
Streaming settings: allow local connections
Wi-Fi : connected with a favorite and high-priority network
If i look for IMAP4/SMTP connection settings, i get the "internet settings" menu, indicating 'allow local connections Yes', but you cannot save it (it says not available now, probably because it expects GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts)
If i check my e-mail, i get the message "you have to select an internet account now" - after confirmation, i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu.
If i start a Java application (for example AccuWeather), it does not connect over Wi-Fi, and if i choose the app's options, and then "internet settings", i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu, this time indicating 'allow local connections No'.
Did I miss some settings menu somewhere ? Or do you need to configure GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts to get it right?
It's pretty annoying because Wi-Fi was my main incentive to buy this phone.
I'm having Issue browsing web or using web apps on wifi with w995a The following settings have been config'd:
-flight mode on to stop default search on mobile network
-network sharing turned on, because i saw it on another thread, not cuz i think it will change anything but it couldnt hurt
-Intnernet settings; have created bogus account using PS DATA method, however im unsure what this is; yes 4allow local connection; have also tried this using default connection method.
-streaming settings; on default planet 3; yes for local connections
-SIP settings; unsure, left as default., is it worth putting router gateway proxy server?
-wifi settings open ntw, full bars strength, have tried using router gwty in the dns settings with no joy
I brag about how much better the w995 is then then iphone 3 & below, but now with all the frakn effort ive put into trying to set this baby up.im starting to wonder. im inclined to think this is a conflict issue between network settings & wifi, along with the web apps msgr & facebook not being compatible with wifi use, rather then an internet settings issue, as all the other iphone users & andriod users here are rubbing in how easy it is on there phone.
I'm trying to download a new software update for my W760a, because it tells me it cannot add anymore contacts and I can't recieve or send texts/ phone calls. When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.
