I have two apps which I want to uninstall, however when I go via the app manager it states 'Could not remove'. The same happens if I try and go via the organise then delete function. I have uninstalled other apps, but these two are being very stubborn.

I have spent a lot of time downloading stuff only to find that it is "not supported" or doesn't work for a variety of other reasons. Very frustrating. The Vodafone and SE sites are fairly limited in depth. SE is also so slow it is almost not worth opening. Today I downloaded two jar files. One worked and the other didn't. I have no idea why. However 50% is a good ratio based on the experience I have had of trying to get anything to work on my vivaz.

But i do have a problem with some of the apps included with the phone for example: The facebook app (included) just says "Wait" The twitter app (included) never signs me in if i press: "Sign In", but it works if i press "have an account?" it logs me in? WTF? Google maps, Ebuddy and more doesn't work either of pretty much the same reason.I checked with my phone company (Telia DK), and we have full 3G support where i live. However i don't have Wi-Fi here right now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI performed a firmware update on my Elm j10i2 phone. I am able to connect with a Wi-Fi and browse web pages with it, but i cannot use Wi-Fi anymore for e-mail or Java Me apps.
My settings are:
Internet settings: allow local connections
Streaming settings: allow local connections
Wi-Fi : connected with a favorite and high-priority network
If i look for IMAP4/SMTP connection settings, i get the "internet settings" menu, indicating 'allow local connections Yes', but you cannot save it (it says not available now, probably because it expects GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts)
If i check my e-mail, i get the message "you have to select an internet account now" - after confirmation, i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu.
If i start a Java application (for example AccuWeather), it does not connect over Wi-Fi, and if i choose the app's options, and then "internet settings", i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu, this time indicating 'allow local connections No'.
Did I miss some settings menu somewhere ? Or do you need to configure GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts to get it right?
It's pretty annoying because Wi-Fi was my main incentive to buy this phone.
I'm having Issue browsing web or using web apps on wifi with w995a The following settings have been config'd:
-flight mode on to stop default search on mobile network
-network sharing turned on, because i saw it on another thread, not cuz i think it will change anything but it couldnt hurt
-Intnernet settings; have created bogus account using PS DATA method, however im unsure what this is; yes 4allow local connection; have also tried this using default connection method.
-streaming settings; on default planet 3; yes for local connections
-SIP settings; unsure, left as default., is it worth putting router gateway proxy server?
-wifi settings open ntw, full bars strength, have tried using router gwty in the dns settings with no joy
I brag about how much better the w995 is then then iphone 3 & below, but now with all the frakn effort ive put into trying to set this baby up.im starting to wonder. im inclined to think this is a conflict issue between network settings & wifi, along with the web apps msgr & facebook not being compatible with wifi use, rather then an internet settings issue, as all the other iphone users & andriod users here are rubbing in how easy it is on there phone.
When i click on my apps or games menu it says operation failed. i was looking through the forums and found a solution except that solution was for when you could actually access the folder and only when you select a specific app/game it said operation failed. i cant access the folder at all. is there anyway at all to fix this problem for free without having to resort to that wotanserver thing? im not being cheap, i just think its rubbish to be charged anything at all to fix a problem like this when it is the manufacturers fault for selling faulty phones which all have a common problem which isn't caused by a users ill-treatment. and another question, why cant i seem to find software to flash it myself without that wotan thing? i mean, surely its just software that you run. someone must have cracked it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a couple of apps from Sony Ericsson's web site including a game that I used to play on my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone previoulsy, called "Quadrapop." It's a free Java application, and there was a version specific to the Satio, which is also an S60 5 edition phone, just like the 5800 which I am trying to install on.
When I try installing it, I get a message, "Certificate error" followed by something to the effect of, "contact supplier" I have been able to install some other Satio Java apps on my 5800, but not Quadrapop. Is there anything I can do do get around this issue?
I thought I may start an Elm/Hazel thread for discussion as it seems many of you have one of the two phones now. View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
I cant uninstall any apps in my X6 as I am getting 'Memory Full error' whenever I open Installed Apps folder. Please let me know if there is an alternate way of uninstalling Apps.I tried if there is any such option available in OviSuite but couldnt find any.....I downloaded OviSuite from nokia website a month ago.

Why Cant I Uninstall Apps On My IPhone 3GS it would let me install and uninstall this morning But this afternoon i decided i wanted to uninstall 3 apps and it wont do it at all. usually i have to press and hold the app i want to uninstall and i get the red minus sign to delete the apps i want but all it is doing is what it normally would do except there is no minus sign at all and no matter what i do i cant uninstall anything.

Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. I have a nokia C5-03. Recently I installed some apps, that now I find unnecessary and I want to delete them. I try to do it this way:
1) Open installed apps
2) Options> Organize
3) Remove
But there is a problem. Whenever I press on remove the phone ask me do I really want to delete the program, I press yes and nothing is happening ... Soon after that my phone freezes and the program is still there.
I want to uninstall some apps from my newly-purchased C5-03. Other posts here describe doing this by going to application manager>installed apps, selecting the app concerned and then Options. But when I select any app (press/options) or longpress, all I get is details about the app. There is no option to uninstall or do anything else. There is nothing about this in the help file or the user manual. How do I uninstall apps?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy daughter's S5 (AT&T, stock) is low on storage... I think about 400-500 Mb free. Two problems that I'm not sure if they are related.
First... Trying to free-up space. First thought was to move pictures from the phone memory to the SD card. Using the "My Files" app I always get a "Failed to Move" error message. Also, in the application manager, unable to move any apps from phone to SD card, even those where is shows the move to SD as an option.
Second.. Can't uninstall an app. When I select uninstall I get the "uninstalling" message but it never finishes.
So... unable to move stuff to SD card and unable to uninstall apps. I'm not sure if the phone needs a certain amount of storage for any file operation, whether it be moving files or uninstalling apps. If so, it's a catch-22... can't free up enough space to allow the file operations.
I tried a wipe of the partition cache, but doesn't work.
