Ive inadvertently deleted some text messages from my w910 and need to try and get them back, ive accessed my sim card through a pc/sc compatible smart card reader but the software doesn't show ant text messages, it does show everything else though (ie contacts ) so i know the reader is working. do SE phones store text messages in the phone? if so is there anyway to retrieve deleted messages?
View 1 RepliesI buy SE W910 about a year ago. Never get problems with it before. And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.
I found in the internet forum for the same problem but not solved. Also I have friend with same phone type and problem, bring to Sony Ericsson service and they have fix it. But the problem just back in next few days. They said the problem is on the flexible. I can't make a call with it.
My phone was working fine so far. Today I wanted to synchronize my phone with my PC but it couldn't recognize my phone, what should I do?

As soon as I shut it off, every few days it goes 10 to 15 min back. Has anyone faced issues like this or any resolution.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't think anyone will remember it, but I posted here on esato a while back asking advice about getting a smartphone, as I couldn't decide what to get. Well, long story short, I found a good deal on a N97 shortly after that and I took it, even if it meant betraying SE, since I really needed a good smartphone at the time. And lets just say it wasn't one of the smarter decisions I've made in my life. Sure, it served its purpose well, thanks to the good WiFi connection, the convenient qwerty, decent camera etc., but aside from that everything about it was so boring, and above all, really sluggish. Needless to say, I quickly started to regret switching from SE.
Well, I've learned my lesson, so to speak, and now it's all in the past, because fortunately I managed to sell it. Plus, things have changed, and I dont have the need for an all-conquering smartphone anymore. So now I'm trying to find a good enough successor to my good old trusty W810. Which is still performing flawlessly, mind you.
But I guess after all these years its time for an update, and here's where I need your help. What I'm looking for is basically an updated version of the W810, with the same strong points, such as good camera + good music capabilities. After a bit of research, I've narrowed it down to either the W902 or the newer Elm.
I guess the perfect match would be an Elm with the W902 looks, since the Elm is, according to reviews, better in the camera/video/sound quality department. Plus, I cant seem to find out if the W902 supports 16 GB cards. I guess the awesome looks of the W902 is really what keep me from going straight for the Elm, while the purple fringing I've seen in W902's photos puts me off quite a bit. And here I am going back and forth, trying to decide between them. And also: is the purple fringing really that bad in the W902 photos? If anybody here had the chance to play with both phones, and have a say on their advantages/weak points, it would be awesome.
I'm trying to download a new software update for my W760a, because it tells me it cannot add anymore contacts and I can't recieve or send texts/ phone calls. When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently my c905a has become unable to playback certain videos, the last 20 or so i have taken. The videos can be played immediately after recording, but later if attempted have a broken film icon instead of thumbnail and if tried to play the message "Currently Unavailable appears". This is not consistent however, a few videos in the middle of the 20 are playable. Their sizes are all varying, settings on each video are the same. I thought that they were possibly not playable on my phone so i moved them onto my computer - same issue, E.M. Total Player fails to open the videos. I hope someone can help me with this. I was counting on these 8.1 MP to record some good material for an oral presentation and final presentation for the chinese class i'm taking right now. I picked up great material, the base of the two projects. These projects are 40% of my grade and need to be presented in 2 and 3 days! How can i salvage these videos? Every video lists appropriate size, what else should i look for? How should i go about fixing this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. Please any suggestions this phone has been reliable upto this piont

Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory.
