There is a small orange flashing symbol when i set my camera with the flash on, and it won't take a picture. The light works as when set with flash off the light comes on once and takes the picture (without the flash). HELP Please, Is it a warning symbol? or have i don't something with the settings?

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I got this phone for Christmas.And I had a few troubles at first but nothing a quick post on these forums didn't clear up. But a few days have gone by and new problems have developed. Any help would be appreciated.
1) The middle button (used for menu and selection) is not working. But when I turn the phone off for about 5 or 6 minutes and then turn it back on it magically works again for about.5 or 6 minutes.What is the problem and how can this be fixed?
2) when I turn the phone off and back on it makes the sounds of it starting up but the screen just stays black.and then I have to let it sit for (go figure) 5 or 6 minutes before the screen shows. please help with this problem as best you can
i have just purchased this phone and need a bit. i know you can alter your home screen via settings, personal, themes and then standby theme to different types but i really like the orange theme. BUT on the home screen there are lots of boxes for different things, can i alter these i.e remove them. i know how to add them but don't seem to be able to remove them . hope that all makes sense.

Here are at least two small but practical features removed from the Elm, previously on ALL Ericsson phones at least from the T28:
1. hold down the "back" button a little longer to get to the top menu immediately
2. the volume buttons on the side were one step / two steps ahead when writing text. Press A to get A, press A and volume up to get B, press A and volume down to get C and so on. Very practical when you write text messages in several languages - and FASTER than T9 overall.
Just got the Vivaz and love it except that I can't customize the main page to have a larger time and date display. The time is way to small for me to see. I did put large on the font under setup, but still find it very small throughout. Any ideas how to customize or override this?

View 10 Replies View RelatedFor last few days I am having a problem with K790i. When I turn on my phone it shows a small box showing 'Please wait' after the Sony Ericsson logo disappears. Then after waiting for about 10 minutes another small box appears with same 'Please wait ' error. I tried the FW update by SEUS, but it's taking just 30 seconds to install, which I think is weird and might be it's not even updating. So is there any way to Master Reset the phone without being on? I've seen very interesting things as acoustic mods (to increase the sound if I've well understand) and camera drivers. The most important things for me actually. But like every times for every things I've got problems x). I've seen Brazzuka's Camera Drivers, and I've tried to install it. To do that I've search tutorials, of course I've found them. I've tried "Far", but after my phone is connected, I'm said that a problem occurred and that it's not possible to connect my phone.

I installed all the necessary programs and drivers, created an .xml file (for generic American version), transferred it to phone, tried SE Update Service, no go. Says I already have the newest software. I tried creating a new .xml file, but this time using Western Europe instead of America. Still, Update Service says my software is new enough. Then I tried going back and creating a generic American .xml and using Update Service to reinstall my OS, but that only reinstalled the old and customized AT&T OS which is what I'm trying to get rid of. So my questions are: 1) I was sort of reluctant to debrand in the first place, but what is the worst thing that can happen if debranding fails? 2) Is there some other CDA number I can use (instead of America/W. Europe) and still be able to use my phone with my service provider? Perhaps Central or Eastern Europe?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have followed these steps: Generated CDA. Nordic language! Then followed these steps! Upload "customize_upgrade.xml" to your phone and make the CDA change. So you have generated the file and you want to get on with it? Well I'll make this as short as possible.
1. Open A2uploader.
2. Click "FileSystem Tool". Re-insert the battery of your phone then connect your USB holding '2+5' keys. Release keys '2+5' when A2uploader detects your phone.
3. Browse to "/tpa/preset/custom/". Drag and drop the "customize_upgrade.xml" file to the right pane of A2uploader.
4. Click "Shutdown FS Manager".
5. Disconnect USB cable and turn on phone. You will notice a "Please Wait" prompt. This is when the CDA is changing. When the prompt is gone, turn off your phone.
But SEUS cannot find any new firmware still? What revision should the the Customize upgrade be?
I notice a flashing red light on the side of phone. I put the phone on charge seemed to be charging ok approx 5 hours later took it off charge. I used phone and noticed the battery indicator showing 1 red bar the phone bleeped low battery and turned off. I've done all normal trouble shooting tips still the same. I've bought original Sony Ericsson charger and battery that hasn't worked either.

Today, I have spent hours and hours trying to "add" my Contacts via the Sim Card to the Vivaz. View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a Sony Ericsson Elm on June 28, 2010. Some of the pictures taken by the camera have a red line (and sometimes another blue line can be seen) in the center. Does this depend on the lighting conditions? The line seems to appear whenever the focus is on a dark object and can also been slightly seen in lighter areas. The lines appear continuously while shooting a video. And also, when I was shooting a video the other day, the phone just froze after I stopped recording. I had to remove the battery manually in order to get the phone working. Is there some problem with my mobile or are there any adjustments to be made to make those red lines disappear from pictures?
