Sony Ericsson :: Vivaz - Getting Flashing Message Symbol Constantly
Jul 10, 2010I recently upgraded to the Vivaz and I constantly get a flashing message symbol on the front screen. Any ideas how I can stop this please?

Sony Ericsson :: Vivaz / Message Symbol Flashing In Top Left Corner?
Sep 30, 2010Have just got my vivaz replaced as the charge port came out with the charger to find that the new phone constantly has the new message symbol flashing in the top left hand corner, was wondering how to get rid of this as it is driving me crazy. Have tried turning the phone on and off again and deleting all my messages but it's still there.

The light works as when set with flash off the light comes on once and takes the picture (without the flash). HELP Please, Is it a warning symbol? or have i don't something with the settings?

Jul 16, 2010Anyone know if there is a message reminder App for the Vivaz? Don't know why but when I have my phone on silent with vibrate alert ON, I always seem to miss messages. Do Sony Ericsson have plans to add this to there software?

Nov 9, 2010I am having a lot of trouble with my Vivaz. A couple of days ago I was in the middle of texting and I thought it was kind of odd that I had to wait a long time for a reply, so I checked my phone inbox and I had a new message but my phone did not alert me in any way. The envelope new message symbol didn't even show up at the top of the screen. The problem has now got worse and it has permanently been like this the past day. My message tone wont go off when I get a new message, "new message" doesn't pop up, and the symbol at the top doesn't pop up either. Because I now have a constant obsession with checking my phone every 5 seconds since it doesn't alert me anymore.

Nov 12, 2010My Vivaz no longer alerts me when I get a text, there is no sound or vibration, it is not on silent mode and I've checked in my message settings the volume and that a sound is supposed to play when a text arrives. The envelope that used to show at the top of the screen when I received a text no longer appears either. The only way to know if I've got a new message is to go into my inbox where it appears; the side of the phone will then flash but still no sound. I ran a software update, then a reset and software update, but neither have made any difference. Also am I able to transfer my existing texts to the memory card so I don't lose them if I have to get it all wiped?

I would expect this if the phone was constantly downloading email or social network feeds but when I try to load those I get the message "Could not open connection to server" when attempting to access e-mails as well as this message when attempting to load news feed on Facebook "Error loading news feed" ....

Jul 2, 2010My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

Jun 14, 2010Had my vivaz a month or so now supplied by 3, it came with some demos already installed on the phone, i went to try tetris but instead of offering to let me play it i had to buy it. Anyway i bought the game from my phone and when i go to play, the bottom half of the screen is filled with a cursor interface (with up down left right buttons then A B C D along the bottom) and the top half is tetris.... when i start the game i get asked if i want sound enabled but cant see the yes or no options beacuse of the interface blocking bottom half of phone (no matter what, all i can do is continue with the sound on which is annoying!) then i get a option to play game, i press random buttons and then the game starts.... i cant move the blocks left or right and i cant see where they are landing. Can you remove the cursor interface on the vivaz? Dont want to buy anymore games unless i get this same problem.

Sep 2, 2010Today, I got a replacement for my Vivaz because it had broken and couldn't be fixed. When I put my memory card in which I used in my old vivaz, it still says there is no music, photos or videos. Although when I have put my memory card in different phones to check it hasn't been wiped or something, my stuff comes up. Just not when my memory card is in this new phone. When I remove my memory card it says "Unsafe to remove memory card without selecting remove memory card first."Is this some kind of setting, and is this whats causing the problem?
