I decided to get Opera Mini 5 (beta) for my M8910 today. Great browser. Looks much better than the 4.xx version and touch screen is fully supported. Only downside is the virtual d-pad at the bottom of the screen, which is pretty much useless on a touchscreen. Afters hours of scouring the big, scary WWW, I've found out that:
> it's not an Opera feature
> On Symbians it can be disabled from some settings menu, but apparently not on Samsungs
> it can be removed by editing either the .jar or .jad files, but so far I've only found fixes for LG and Nokia (symbian?) phones
How do I remove the virtual d-pad for Java apps on my phone?
I have a Samsung M8910 Pixon on AT&T in the U.S and I am not able to send/receive any type of MMS messages. I get the message "Retrieving failed Define network settings." If anyone knows what I should change the settings to I would greatly appreciate it, or if you know what else could be wrong other than the settings.
I've lost my battery, but why can't I find a new one for my M8910 Pixon 12 phone anywhere? None on eBay, can't seem to find any on Google either.I rang Samsung directly, they put me onto a company called EET Nordic.... however they want £20 for the battery, £1.50 for use of a debit card, £8.95 postage!!! Then VAT on top of all that.... £35 is a bit expensive for a battery when normally you can get genuine Samsung ones for under £5 delivered to your door on eBay.
Just completed the ICS upgrade, but so far struggling to see much improvement so far (except for the ability to bulk select emails to delete them) and I don't have these virtual buttons that are referred to as part of the changes. I've looked around but can't see any settings to turn them on.
I'm in the UK and have a S2 that use to be on Orange but is now unlocked. What I'm looking for is just a factory ROM for the S2 to flash it so I can remove all the Orange bloat ware. Model: GT-I9100Android: 2.3.3Baseband: I9100BVKG2Kernal: 2.6.35.7-I9100BVKG3-CL344296root@DELL103#2Build: GINGERBREAD.BVKG3I have looked on the internet but have been unable to find just a factory stock ROM for the S2,
The Samsung Impact comes with some default wallpapers that cycle through as a slideshow when you lock your phone. Is there a way to delete these? I hate having little flowers and what not when I lock my phone. I tried Samsung Customer Service (e-mail is useless, they don't read the request) and when I called they said they'd have someone contact me back but of course no one ever did (this was over a month ago).
I've just got the new fantastic Galaxy S2. One, admittedly very small, gripe is in the Maps App that comes with the phone. When the GPS is on, and the blue arrow is pointing where I am, above the arrow is my gmail icon inside a blue square. Is there any way to remove this?!? It's a massive square on the phone that really doesn't need to be there. I know who I am! And the blue arrow is enough.
i want to remove my email accounts from the social hub.in fact, i'm quite keen on deleting the whole thing as it doesn't seem to work very well for me.how can i stop the social hub from grabbing my emails?i want to remove my gmail account from it but i get a warning message saying it will delete all contacts etc from the device.

Is it possible (and wise) to remove the pre-installed Music Player that came with the Samsung Galaxy S2? I ask because I prefer to use a superior music player and occasionally there are conflicts between the two so i thought it would be better to remove the pre-installed one.

I accidently got my gmail account wrong when i registered for the samsung hub, now in my samsung account the email is wrong i tried to remove it but it says i have to reset my phone wich will lose everything i have took days to install
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Recently I went for a overseas trip and connected to wifi in hotel over there. After I came back, I found there is no way to forget the saved wifi as I could not find it in my Wifi network list. There is a menu icon to see Saved Wifi when goes to Wifi Setting for the other mobile phone with Android Lollipop from other manufacturer, but that icon is missing from Samsung Galaxy S6. Is there any other way for me to forget those wifi networks saved in other place?
I have a samsung galaxly s5 and my computer is connected to wifi but my phone continually goes to 4g using up my plan and if I chose my personal wifi address it wont connect to wifi some said to delete the other people addresses showing up on my wifi list.
I recorded a video on my samsung s5 and really need to remove the conversation in the background. I am hoping there is a way to easily do this. All I need to do is just erase the sound so I can share the video.
I'm sure this is a simple one to those of you who have been using the N900 a while, but when using the virtual keyboard, how do you accept the suggested word while typing? I've tried every arrow on the keyboard and am stumped.
Is there a way to do a virtual drive to a destination? I.e.. To drive the route on the phone without actually traveling there? I seem to recollect that this was available on older versions?
This is really just a rant and will probably end up closed. Just annoyed. Is it just my phone? Why does the virtual key space seem to be bigger for the N than for the M? Why doesn't the phone auto-correct ne to me? Is "ne" even a word?
