Samsung Galaxy S II :: Unable To Connect With Wi-Fi?
Mar 21, 2012
I have a problem with my GS2.Wi-Fi on and shows as on, but when going onto GooglePlay Apps/internet/Facebook/Twitter etc etc comes up with no connection. (laptop works fine at the same time so I know its not router problem). If I goto settings and take wi-fi off then put back on it works fine, emails come thru.
It seems lik eI have to keep doing this during the day constantly, anyone else had the problems?(Wi-Fi sleep policy under advanced in wi-fi setting is set to never so thats ok)
I recently updated to Software version G900PV-83BOK4 on my Galaxy S5. Ever since the update, I cannot access Facebook unless on wireless connections. All other Apps work fine. When accessing Facebook I receive a message that says, 'Can't connect right now.'
I've tried various things and can't seem to correct. There is a similar thread on Facebook for all Android devices, but no one seems to have a solution.
After turning my phone on after leaving it off for the day I am unable to connect to my Network Provider (Displays "No Service). When I look at my options it displays "Flight Mode On" under the power button options. I turn this off but it still shows Flight Mode selected under my Network Settings?
I bought a new Galaxy S2(GT-I9100G) last week. Currently I'm unable to connect to webpages using my default/3rd party browsers using normal data connection. I can load it when I'm using a WiFi network.
Been using the mail app without any problems to connect to my work email using the following exchange address: webmail.[companyname].com, for the longest time.
Recently was having connection problems so decided to delete the account and restart.
This time when I try to set things up I get the following error: "Setup could not finish. Unable to connect to server".
Can I assume that my work has changed something, so I can't use the webmail server to connect to exchange?
I just bought this phone today and I've been playing for hours now to tried and get it to connect but still no success.Did anyone of you was able to I tried with studio PC, it seems half decent if you get it to work
my dad gave me his s2 in hong hong, and i've connected the s2 to a pc in hong kong before. however, when i got back from my hong kong trip, i can't seem to connect my phone to pc. the phone charges when i connect to pc but i don't see it being recognized. my computer doesn't even say if the device is recognized or not. 1) i have reformatted my phone ,2) my phone is rooted ( i followed this guide: http://www.Internet.com/watch?v=be2evusawom / / / http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1342728) ,3) i have downloaded the driver from samsung's home site, 4) unknown sources is ticked ,5) usb debugging is also ticked,6) i used a samsung cord while i was in hk and now i use a goki charger's usb cord.i want to connect my phone to my pc so i can unroot it and upgrade the firmware to jellybean
I was using my wi-fi without any trouble on holiday but now I'm home it will not connect. It sees the wi-fi signal does not seem to connect properly. I've tried re-registering but when it tries to connect the phone goes into a loop giving these messages:Authenticating . . . | Save, secured with WPA/WPA2 | Obtaining IP address . . . | Athenticating . . . etc.
I'm having a very frustrating time connecting my new SGS2 via USB to my PC.I connect my SGS2 to my computer, I get an error Android MTP Failed! This is on my Windows 7 PC. So I thought I'd try it on my Windows 7 notebook = same error! So finaly, I tried it on my Windows 7 based slate, guess what = Android MTP Failed! I urgently need to transfer my Outlook info to my SGS2.
No SIM yet I can already transfer photos , phone book data etc with Kies on home wifi, but that's different. I'm going abroad so want to be able to communicate between the two without a sim.
I tried to make the phone a hotspot but it won't because there's no sim.
i have seen movies on Internet about connecting a usb stck to a samsung galaxy s 2 phone. as far as i can se you need a usb micro b male to a usb a female adaptor. however when i connect the adaptor to my phone nothing happens. whereas acc. to the Internet movie "samsung galaxy s2 usb otg demo " of nztechfreak you should see a usb host cable connected message in the host tray. however i don't get such a message. when i then connect my 40 gb lacie mini disk (which as far as i know works as a general usb stick) i won't be able to find that also. i also checked on my computer and it is formatted. i also tried with a real (8 gb ) usb stick, same problem.
I havnt been able to connect to KIES since weds, it just wont connect. I have rebooted my PC and re-installed KIES as well...It just hangs on the "connecting to the device"..
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and am trying to connect it to my TalkTalk Broadband. I am not technical. My IPAD,Dell,TV, HTC,PC all connect without problems to the Router (DSL 2780) and without me having to make any adjustments. The SGS2 however, refuses to connect to the Router - yes, I have checked the Router passwords etc.. I just get " Authentication Error" message. I was able to connect the SSG2 to a Hot Spot I created on the HTC phone - so, the phone is obviously ok. There must be a problem with the settings on the Router - however, all other devices connect without a problem.
I have just bought a new Samsung Galaxy S2. I am unable to use the phones 3G services in my flat as there is no service or a very poor mobile phone service. I thought I could connect the phone to my laptop which is wired into broadband and use that. Any ideas on how to that ? The laptop is connected to a wired broadband service, there is no router.
My t-mobile uk s2 has started behaving oddly.this morning calls were fine but tonight i cant make or receive calls, they just stop with a call ended note .
I have connected my SGS2 to Kies in my laptop. Then I quit from Kies and started using my phone (leaving my phone charging via USB). Now, when I start Kies once again, it says device not connected and my phone is not is Kies mode. If I replug my USB at either end (laptop or mobile) it goes to Kies mode and connecting fine.
My doubt here is, how do I reconnect to Kies in laptop without replug my USB, once after I quit from Kies mode in my phone.
Is there any way I can tell my phone to go to Kies mode?
Have not been able to find any setttings that will allow me to connect to voicemail on Rogers. When it dials the voicemail number, it disconnects immediately.ere is what I have tried so far:- Tried all three Caller ID settings.- Enabled and Disable FDN (normally disabled)- Voicemail service is set to 'my carrier' (the only option I get).- Changed the Voicemail number in Settings to dial using the area code, no area code, and last 4 digits.
I have tried numerous times over the last couple of days to upgrade my SGS2 to ICS. After I realised connecting to Kies Air wouldn't work, I downloaded and installed the latest version of Kies onto my laptop. The first time I tried to download via USB, the phone connected to Kies but said I could not upgrade unless my battery was fully charged. Odd, as it would be charging while linked to my laptop during upgrading anyway, but I thought I would try again in the morning when my phone was fully charged from overnight charging.
So I tried this morning when charged to 100%, and later this evening when half charged, and Kies refuses to recognise my phone. It keeps saying connecting, connecting, then I get a message saying it cannot connect. I have disconnected and reconnected umpteen times to no avail. I have run the troubleshooter a few times and reinstalled the Kies drivers two or three times. Again, to no avail.I have seen various threads on here about USB debugging etc. and I have tried to tick then re-untick that, but no joy there.I'm starting to think it would be easier just to do without this bloody update and just wait for the SGS3 to come out.
Is there any way to connect my S2 to a regular phone and use the regular phone to make calls via my S2 signal/sim card - the reason for this is I use the S2 as a work phone and make many many calls from my desk using it and find it more difficult to quickly dial using the touch screen etc.the type of phone i am wanting to use is just a regular, pick up the handset type of phone.
Is there anyway of attaching an external aerial to SGS2 to enhance reception of 3g signal - maybe a drop-in pod with attachment for an external aerial?
I own a motorhome and sometimes it's a struggle to pick up a WiFi hotspot signal, a better directional aerial would help.
I have some problems receiving texts sometimes when I am at home. My phone has signal but texts won't come through until I connect to a call. I'm not sure whether this is a fault with the phone or with with my network operator, O2. This doesn't happen all of the time, just sporadically.
I am trying to connect to wifi hotspot from Samsung S2, but after turning on, it starts scanning and shows the available Networks under Wifi Networks and after connecting to one of them for 4-5 mins, it disconnects and under Wireless and Networks it shows:
Since installing ICS I cannot connect to Double Twist. Whichever of two options (MTP and Camera Mode) I try it will not connect. On gingerbread you had different USB connection options. How to connect to Double Twist or tried it?
