View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a way on a Nokia 6500C phone to transfer the messages and contacts to an Android based phone? I have been hearing that you can use Vcard, but unfotunatelly this phone has no export function. Ovi Suite doesn't help and just plugging in the USB cable to the phone without using Ovi Suite does not list contacts in the file list. And this phone has no memory card either so I cannot transfer the contents to the card either.

View 24 Replies View RelatedAnd my s5 is running HOT. I can't put my finger on it. I went from 100% battery to 11% in less than 6 hours on standby. What processes may be draining he battery? Location is off, battery doctor and CM security take care of all junk and background apps, sync is disabled. I'm shocked!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using an app that configures a vpn profile and connects to it. When I'm connected, I want just my notification to be shown, but android provides its own notification that is shows and I can't seem to get rid of it. Any possible way to get rid of this without root?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving issue where android system is consuming 35+% of the battery? Looking at the stats it seems like one of the bundled services is keeping the radio on for 14/18hrs its been on.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI generally don't have trouble getting through a work day with my S6, but I do wonder whether the Android utilization is high. During a typical day (1 - 2 hours SOT, 14-15 hours off charger), I'm burning about 60%-70% of total battery, 30% of which is Android System (~22%) and Android Kernel (~8%). Google Play and other apps are all typically < 5%. Is this normal, or does this indicate that a factory reset might be a good idea? On previous phones I don't recall core Android being this high (usually <10%).

View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay. I'll see if this posts. I am using Android 2.1 and AT&T told me I could "easily" upgrade to Android 4 using KEIS. I downloaded the program, updated to Version 2.3.2.12074_13. Installed okay. I connected and got the message "device not supported by KEIS 2."

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have SGS2 Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) updated via kies.
In the contacts app, Im sure there used to be a way where by if you were syncing your facebook account, status updates and media would appear in the contact (In Contacts). This doesnt appear to be the case anymore.
I've just had the latest firmware update on my SG2, the new ICS. how I go about rooting my SGS2? I want to use some apps that's only for a rooted SGS2.I don't want to change any firmwares or themes or whatever as I'm happy with ICS, just need to root it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan I use my PC/Mac to buy and install an application from the Android Market? If so is their an idiot sheet on how to get the app off the computer and onto the SGS2?
The reason I ask is that I'd rather use my computer to buy an application rather than use my phone.
Is there a quick way to copy/paste in the Android S II (2.01) Also, anyone know a compatible password keeper?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a SGSII. I can access market (Android) and navigate each pages to see various apps. I really don't know how to search for a particular application in that Android market. I am not able to see any search options available.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using the version of Android that came with my S2 for about a year. I use Keis and it managed to copy my Contacts and Schedule from my Office 2003 on my PC and it was fine on the S2.I upgraded to Android 4 this morning. The Schedule looks fine. The Contacts look fine apart from the fact that the Addresses read from bottom up - post code, town, street, house number.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been noticing my battery draining pretty fast. I've had the phone just over a month and days when I'm at work all day, maybe do some surfing on my lunch or breaks, but nothing to excessive and my battery is down to like 35% when I get home. Before I was going under Settings->Battery and I noticed "Screen" was the number one offender for draining my battery. Which makes sense, it's a bright display and powering it takes a lot of juice. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, however, it's when I started noticing it after installing ICS. Now "Android OS" has replaced it at the top, by a LOT. Here is a list of my top five
Android OS: 58%
Screen: 18%
Cell Standby: 10%
Phone Idle: 7%
Android System: 2%
I've recently received a new samsung galaxy s6 with android 5.1.1 installed on it. first day everything went well no problems whatsoever, second day, i started to bump into some wifi issues which are now really pissing me off!
So the thing is, whenever i turn on wifi, 90% of the time, i can't find any connections. NONE! maybe after 10 minutes of leaving my phone i finally found one, and it isn't even my home connection.. I've been connected to my home wifi. And when i finally am connected the internet is so slow, i'd rather go back to my windows 98 pc and search via internet explorer, make the pc crash 5 times and still load the page faster than my cellphone.
Samsung Galaxy S6
Android 5.0.2
Yosemite 10.10.4
Never had KIES installed, my usb ports work fine, I tested them, my cable works fine. checked the Media Device (MTP) still doesn't work... deleted and re-installed AFT multiple times, i still get the "Could not connect to device. Try reconnecting or restarting your device"
After 3/4 of an hour trying to get rid of underlined text on the Samsung Galaxy S5 I gave up.
I think when I switching off Predictive Text AND ALSO Swype switched off - then it is clean, but I need Swype.
How to remove underlined text on the samsung galaxy S5 with having SWYPE on?
I'm trying to find a program or app that recovers deleted videos on the internal storage of an android device. I've found one that recovers photos only, but no go on video recovery so far. I am unable to root as it is a Verizon S5 and the only available root methods require a destructive root. My cloud service did not have time to upload it before it was deleted, so all I have is a corrupt file. I have Dr.fone, but it stays stuck at 90%. Recuva doesn't recognize the device as a searchable drive.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to extend battery life and kill some native apps. One that shows as a big battery drain is Geo News but I can't find the app to uninstall it. When I go to the Play Store it only gives me the option to install it. This is on my Galaxy S5 which I've had since November and the last couple of weeks I've been going through the battery huge. Trying to follow all the advice here to delete and disable, but so far not terribly successful.

View 6 Replies View RelatedGetting an error message (-101) when trying to download from android market?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to clear the browser history the program crashes. I have tried a couple of apps from the Market but neither of them have worked.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to locate the history cache in the filing system.
P.S. I can delete history links one at a time. Is it just that I have allowed the cache to get too large before trying to delete it - I'm not sure I have ever cleared it before!
Just wondering, does anybody find on the s2 that the soft back key doesn't always respond? I'm sometimes having to tap mine several times before it responds and it's driving me bonkers.
Also, I have noticed that the android os is high on this phone and the strange thing is, the percentage seems to go up when the phone isn't actually being used for anything, as in, sat idle for a few hours. Just wondering what the average percentage should actually be with this phone.
My battery life is rubbish too. Thursday and Friday, it was fine but I didn't use the phone much at all. Today it was fine until 6pm, again, didn't really use the phone but this evening, I have been texting and it dropped 40% in three hours and I've had to put it on charge.
I'm not happy with this and will be contacting Samsung on Monday but before I do, would be interested to hear what other people are experiencing with the android os and back key. Battery life is more or less irrelevant as that varies from person to person according to usage. I'm just disappointed as I seldom had to charge my galaxy s before bedtime unless I tethered, which I hadn't done today until I had to put the phone on charge.
