Don't have the new phone yet, but knowing one is symbian and the other android I want to make sure there's an easy way to do it since I have more than 300 phone numbers that I need to keep.
View 9 RepliesMy contact list seems to have automatically imported all of my email contacts from all 4 of my email accounts into my contact list.This makes it really cluttered, andc I'm not sure I really want any emails in there at all, let alone all my ones from 12 years ago.

I use Keis and it managed to copy my Contacts and Schedule from my Office 2003 on my PC and it was fine on the S2.I upgraded to Android 4 this morning. The Schedule looks fine.The Contacts look fine apart from the fact that the Addresses read from bottom up - post code, town, street, house number.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Samsung S8000 phone with all her numbers on. I have just bought her the iPhone 4s and I want to move her numbers. I am tryng to do it through Bluetooth. The Samsung can see the Iphone and exchangepass codes. The IPhone can see the Samsung however when you try and activate the pairing the IPhine just rejects the Samsung as 'Not Supported'. Am I just wasting my time in trying to get this to work ?

I know from various sites that you can add a ".NoMedia" file to any folder and it will apparently prevent it from displaying in Gallery, but I can't find the actual folder location in My Files where the contact photos are stored, so that I can put this file there - and I can't find this info on ANY web sites. Is the .nomedia thing the only way to stop this? Also, is it possible to uninstall / remove access to Gallery if I install another photo/video manager app?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am facing a bit of an irritating problem on my samsung galaxy s6. When I go to phone -> 1-9 keyboard and use it for the letters (2=a,b,c; 3=d,e,f, etc.), I can easily find the number I need. The problem is that for most of my contacts, when I click them, a second window pops up, asking me exactly which number for this contact I'd like to dial. Now.... I don't have a second number for any of my contacts.
When I go and check them in the contacts menu, they only show one mobile number per contact. When the window thingy pops up, it always shows multiple options of the same exact number, or maybe the same number with some spacings added / removed between the digits. I am 99% sure that the problem is because of google contacts, viber, whatsapp, etc., but do not know how to fix it without removing the contact from the app.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there any way of getting the actual phone numbers to show when in the "Contacts" screen instead of just the contacts name. If I want to look for a phone number, it means that I have got to click on each contact name to bring up the next screen with the phone number etc on it and then click back to the contacts screen and keep doing it all through the list of contacts.
With my old HTC Desire it used to show both right at the start.

In the contacts app, Im sure there used to be a way where by if you were syncing your facebook account, status updates and media would appear in the contact (In Contacts). This doesnt appear to be the case anymore.

Why again, I got 2 reason here.
1. Symbian only got best performance on NOKIA own smartphone but not all other brand phone. (not just Sony Ericsson, SAMSUNG also)
*Is this Sony Ericsson and Samsung problem? No, is NOKIA did not full "OPEN" the source of Symbian.
2. Symbian make all 3rd party software fully compatible with NOKIA own smartphone but not all other brand phone. (everybody will know, the CALL RECORDING software ONLY can use on NOKIA base Symbian phone)

My main point why want to change the SYMBIAN to Android is because SYMBIAN only best best 3rd party software compatible in NOKIA smartphone.
Is Android really best compatible in all 3rd party software, I just can say no the most, but it will more and more and more that NOKIA Symbian.
Why I know, because in my sister hand got one Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini. Same 600MHz CPU but X10 mini performance really nice.
Is Sony Ericsson problem, hardware problem, software problem? NO, IS NOKIA SYMBIAN PROBLEM.
That why now Sony Ericsson all phone now base on Adroid.

1. If really SATIO or other SonyEricsson Symbian base smartphone change to Android, SonyEricsson can cut off the Timescape™ and Mediascape, I know this two feature is symbol of XPERIA X10.
2. I love the brand (SonyEricsson), I love the hardware (SATIO), I also love the system (Symbian) but the system make me disappointed (best compatible 3rd party software only in NOKIA smartphone).
I've been noticing my battery draining pretty fast. I've had the phone just over a month and days when I'm at work all day, maybe do some surfing on my lunch or breaks, but nothing to excessive and my battery is down to like 35% when I get home. Before I was going under Settings->Battery and I noticed "Screen" was the number one offender for draining my battery. Which makes sense, it's a bright display and powering it takes a lot of juice. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, however, it's when I started noticing it after installing ICS. Now "Android OS" has replaced it at the top, by a LOT. Here is a list of my top five
Android OS: 58%
Screen: 18%
Cell Standby: 10%
Phone Idle: 7%
Android System: 2%
I have bought Vivaz one week ago and it was such a good cell phone to have with marvelous features compared to its price and size. My pain is the OS which is Symbian S60 5th Edition which I hate more than the darkest hour. I wish if Sony Ericsson could change the OS from Symbian S60 to Android what is the possibility to such so? is it need some hardware to be change? I feel pity for my Vivaz as it works using Symbian while my brother has Xperia X10 Minipro works with Android 1.6.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently received a new samsung galaxy s6 with android 5.1.1 installed on it. first day everything went well no problems whatsoever, second day, i started to bump into some wifi issues which are now really pissing me off!
So the thing is, whenever i turn on wifi, 90% of the time, i can't find any connections. NONE! maybe after 10 minutes of leaving my phone i finally found one, and it isn't even my home connection.. I've been connected to my home wifi. And when i finally am connected the internet is so slow, i'd rather go back to my windows 98 pc and search via internet explorer, make the pc crash 5 times and still load the page faster than my cellphone.
