Do anyone know how how to setting when convert video to N900 and get full screen? im using "Super" freeware converter by eRightSoft. do any one know how to set it and get the full screen convert in N900?
View 5 RepliesFirst of all, I cannot seem to get the touted video call working through skype. It is a neat feature and I would like to use it. I have read other complain about the poor quality of the webcam, but I cannot seem to get it started, period. How is that done? I don't see any option to make a video call and / or start video during a call. Is it a defective phone, or is it something else?
Secondly, T-mobile lets you dial #646# in order to check your balance, yet the phone says this is an invalid number. Is there any workaround for this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been happily using N900 for Skype video calling.When I first received my phone I was told by my phone company that N900 supports video calling without using Skype(using mobile numbers to other compatible phones via the 3G network)My partner also has a N900 and is not able to make Video Calling either, where when we both had an E72 we had no problems at all.I called Nokia 2 months ago and they said that in Australia, they will have video calling to mobile numbers very soon for the N900. Can anyone at Nokia tell me when this is happening? This was one of the main reasons I bought the N900 as it is promoted to have video calling on 3G as well as Internet (Skype or other).I am keen to use video calling as I work with clients who don't necessarily have Skype, but use video calling nonetheless.

It would be great if Flash 10.1 were to come to N900. Flash on Maemo was one of the main reasons for choosing N900.Android is getting it with 2.2 (Froyo) and with turn by turn navigation is already ahead of the game.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a hard time convincing my N900 to play some videos transferred from my PC. It was able to play only 1 of 7 videos I transferred via USB cable. It says it can't run the video because it does not support either an audio or a video codec.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAll photos and videos are very poor quality, somehow blurred, like always to be out of focus.I tried in different light situations, different modes, but no improvement. Maybe I expect too much, but the N900's photo engine is complimented a lot.Here is a photo of better quality shooten with my n900:

Does anybody there knows if is any delivery rapport on n900 maemo5. Just moved from a 9210i to n900 and to be honest I am surprised for good and bad, ex there is no videocall over 3g or im., there is no delivey rapport on sms (good to know if the other party got the message) there is no free document reader, does not support fax (yep some business do like sending faxes), but I as said there is some good too. So there is anybody ho can answer if some of the above will be included in the next update for n900. (I know you will say this is a computer who make phone calls but lets get the advantage of having a better handset as is called MOBILE PHONE)
View 14 Replies View RelatedOne week ago i just bought the nokia N900 with the latest firmware 3.2010.02-8 with maemo 5 installed.I played around with the device and its quite amazing on how this thing can do so much as a small computer but a little thing can do as a phone mobile.
i'm a little bit dissapointed about N900 as a phone mobile, because some of the features not support or i don't know why, for example :
1. first came the N900 don't supported FM radio, but when i download application FM Radio now my N900 can be used for FM Radio
2. N900 don't fully support mms, but there is a tutorial on this forum on how to use mms in N900 using fMMS
3. N900 don't support our local telecomunication dialing pattern such as ( *.....# )
4. N900 don't support Video Call, this is something that N900 very disappointing. All N series can do video call and also there is a front camera.
5. Is the N900 fully support in maemo 6 ( meego )..?
I really hope that The Nokia team can do about this issues, especially for video call which i or even a lot of people using it.
I've been trying to convert movies for my N8. So far, I couldn't get the right conversion factors such as the resolution, bitrate, frame rate, video codec, etc.The videos I convert work on my N8 but the size always exceeds 1GB, and the video isn't in full screen.Does anyone here knows the best video conversion setting for the N8?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.
View 23 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to iOS 4 and iPhone 4, the widescreen button (on/off) setting no longer has any effect on videos played on my TV. I'm using the exact same Apple cable I was using before, and the same TV. I'm playing widescreen content rented from the iTunes store. But regardless of whether the widescreen switch is on or off, it plays in 4:3 on my TV. This looks terrible and distorted.
I've already sold my 3GS, so I can't determine whether the problem is iOS4 or the iPhone 4. I'm using the Apple Composite AV cable, which is supposed to be compatible with iPhone 4.Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? I have updated to 4.0.1.
The new Skype update allows video call on this phone.Go into your Skype setting, scroll down and check the "Enable Video Calling" tab.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHere I wish to post the problems I have been experiencing after I bought Nokia 5800, maybe, someone even has a magical solution for any of them.I own it since last year's November and I've spent more time re-inserting the battery and restarting it than actually using it, so I guess I sort of regret buying this smart piece of **bleep**.
So here's the list.. (any help, tips and fixes highly appreciated. Thank you!)
The video recorder often spoils the video with lags (which are file-written).An incoming call often cannot be picked up (nothing happens, it just rings. no key response)
Often the envelope symbol for new messages remains even if all messages read.The alarm clock has failed to wake me up 3 times because of the phone hanging up, and 2 more times just because of not ringing. (This is the worst part because I can't rely on this phone. What if I'm taking an important exam tomorrow? Hanging alarm clock is not an excuse, so I'm going back to the 20th century with a green-light alarm clock besides my bed, lol.)The screen rotation is so bad. I takes 5 seconds to turn the screen and often it gets confused whether to turn right or left.
If I install a new theme and set it as default (even if it's in Phone Memory), the chance of any of these bugs occuring multiplies twice.Often starting the menu or dialler pad causes the phone to hang up and nothing happens, can't even turn it off with the button. I have to reinsert the battery.The web browser often disappears without warning. A crash I guess. This **bleep** me off.The e-mail client causes problems when I set up a mailbox. What's the point of it if I can still use e-mail after uninstalling that Nokia E-mail afterwards. weird...Accessing Settings is risky, because it often hangs up and does nothing..
The media player once was unable to get rid of already deleted files. FoRtUnAtElY I found a fix (was i supposed to do that? No!).Once I couldn't access the installed application list, no matter what. Had to do a hard reset.And many more of these Sadly I knew what to expect when I was about to buy it, because I had experience with Symbian phones. In terms of reliability and satisfaction they haven't changed a bit since the first ones.
I am on version 1.2009.44 but version 2.2009.51 is available on my N900.I go to download and it says I need to download through the nokia software updater on my PC.So I connect it to my PC suite and run software updater and it cant find anything it says I am all upto date.But I am not.any help?

I'd really like to know if there is a way that the low rez camera that would normally be used for video calls, can also be used as a webcam when I'm Skyping to my friends? But I heard Nokia has had problems withe the lennex operating system. I was told to hold off that Nokia has a totally new phone that will be introduced mid summer 2010 with a new operating system that will put Nokia back on top over iphone ect ect.

I need a phone with a good battery (I am traveling a lot of time), I need connectivity, but also multimedia (video and music), but must of all I need a very good organizer. I can not afford a phone with so much problems and I don't have time to debug it!
So, I have to choose from these models: N900, N97, N97 mini, E72, BB 9700 Bold and IP 3GS. I know that you are not fans of BB and IP, but because I am a lot in the airplane, I need the multimedia and entertainment from 3GS and the office from BB.
i just bought an n900 and waiting for it to be delivered, it's second hand and i gather that some n900s don't accept all 3 sims but there was an update for it so now it does, is that right? if mine isn't accepted how do i update it given that it doesn't work with ovi or pc suite?

Im used to my N95 doing it no problemthe whole phone seems unfinished - a half assed job and im reading posts from people with the same issues saying "nokia is going to bring out a PC suite for the n900 that will work" and "OVI will be working soon" that date back to February
I also fully charged it overnight its been on for 4 hours and the battery is nearly flat and I have only plugged in the mini USB thingo 3 times and the input socket is really loose.No EQ on the music player?? and no ability to edit the track names/artists in the menu.The N95 not only had EQ but stereo widening and other cool features - What a step down.i can't believe it - it almost 100% useless
I have all my contacts in Nokia x6. I also did sync with OVI site. I would like to get the contacts either from the x6 or from OVI site into my phone N900. How can I get them? I did use phone switch application from N95 to x6. Don't know how to do for N900.
