Feb 1, 2010Connecting to web now always opens the 'search for wlan?' dialog. Hitting cancel sends me to the bookmarks menu, it doesn't connect via 3G at all.

Eseries / Communicators :: Nokia E6 Doesn't Detect Wifi And Doesn't Connect
Dec 27, 2012Nokia E6 with Symbian Belle Refresh which I bought just a couple of days ago.It does not detect wifi internet connections at all, although they are available. When I go to settings -> connectivity and then select wifi, it searches connection for a while and then shows that none are found. Meanwhile, my old Nokia E72 remains connected to my home wifi without any problem... I am really surprised and disappointed. Also when I try to set up the connection manually, it doesn't work at all.I can't believe that such a device is being sold, a wifi connection is something extremely necessary nowadays in a smartphone. I was so attached to Nokia but I feel like it is my last Nokia phone because this is just unbelievable

Aug 6, 2010I bought my E72 device two months ago. I also have an access point in my home unfortunately I can't connect with it properly. My AP uses static IP address, and it is setup correct also the phone, but when I want to connect to internet by native browser, system shows error(translated to English) "invalid server name", it shows in others applications too but there was different errors names depending on application. I can only get access to my router, access point and devices connected to internal network(behind router like PC's, laptops or others), in public places like schools or government institutions I don't have troubles with connecting to internet. Error is occurred only in my and some of my friends private networks. I am sure that's my phone is setup correct, because in this same configuration laptop is working. Why I can't connect with external network?

Feb 24, 2010I just got a new phone last week that had Comes With music with it. Well, I installed the software, downloaded plenty of songs, all good on so on.However, last night my Windows 7 installation imploded. The only solution was to reinstall the damn thing. This lead to a serious problem with the Ovi Player.
When I run Ovi Player and try to open the store, it just has a message saying that the store is not available right now, check Internet connection or try again later. But the store is indeed working just fine for my brother on another computer, and works from the phone itself. So for some reason, it's just happening for me. So basically I can't download anything or listen to anything I've already downloaded, because I can't even try to register the player to use this computer so I can't play any of the files due to the DRM stuff and the original Ovi installation being lost in the reinstall (the files themselves I still have). I don't really even know if I can set this new installation as the active computer since there's the 3-month limit thing (which is stupid anyway, and I'd never pay for DRM'd digital media anyway, but as the phone came with the CWM code I figured I'd try it out). But as it is I can't even try and can't even browse the store at all.Any ideas on what to do to get the damn software to work? Reinstalling the player didn't help.

Apr 27, 2012I have a Nokia 700. Upgraded to 112.010.1404 via Nokia Suite as soon as I got it. I have set my WiFi network as the highest priority. I can connect to my WiFi network, yet after a while of inactivity the phone starts using 3G data again. I go into the WiFi networks and see that my network is listed as "Known" but not "Connected". I have to manually select it to re-connect.Power saving mode for WiFi is set to off.Is there a setting to automatically connect to any known WiFi network when in range? I am happy to manage battery life by manually turning ove WiFi when not needed.

Oct 3, 2011I have an issue with my Torch 9800, It works fine with 3G but when I'm in poor 3G coverage area it doesnt want to work with 2G network or reboot itself. In the best case it connects with the 2G network for a couple of minutes and then drops the signal. I've tryed everything possible including software upgrade/downgrade (now I'm running the last 6.0.0.666 version), rebooting, switching to 2G only from Mobile network options but for some reason it doesn't want to work with 2G network which is very annoying when traveling somewhere cause the last time I was traveling to Manchester my mates' Bold phone was working with GPRS coverage and mine wasnt (same carrier).

May 15, 2015I have a really weird issue with my brand new G3. I started configuring the device without a SIM, and it saw my 5G (802.11AC) home network (Netgear R7000 router).
I was working with this connection and everything was great. I done all my software updates (maybe 8 of them) from the initial store 4.4.2 to 5.0. The phone now say that I have the latest version.
When I inserted my SIM card the phone stopped discovering ("seeing") the 5G WIFI network, it now sees only my 2.4G network.no matter what I've done, it wont discover the network it worked with before the SIM insertion and start up.
I also recall that I had more settings in my Advanced WIFI screen, and at least 2 settings which I remember are now missing. One if the setting which switches to cellular DATA when the WIFI signal is weak, and the other when the WIFI network doesn't have an internet connection. There might be more settings which I'm now missing, but I recall these two to now be missing from the Advanced WIFI screen.
Taking the SIM card out doesn't solve this. The only way I've managed to restore the 5G connectivity is by doing a factory reset. BUT, inserted the SIM card ruins it again!

May 11, 2012I just bought a iphone 3gs off my friend (i already knew of this defect), and he said it had a problem that it doesnt connect to the computer. When connected via multiple cables, all it does is vibrate and start charging. Does this mean the problem is just a broken pin or something in the 30pin dock connector? If it matters, it has been replaced by apple before, so i would say this is a refurb. How can i fix it? or even just how to enable wifi sync without being able to connect to itunes. Its on 5.1.1 and unlocked if it matters

Mar 16, 2012Can Anybody please tell me why my MOTOACTV doesn't like to connect to GPS? My distances and times are WAY off. I would estimate that 30% of my runs have connected. I tried today, with a clear shot of the sky without a cloud to be seen and it wouldn't work. I wasn't moving and have the MOTOACTV on my arm. I waited for 2 full cycles while it tried to connect. I am sick of it. The time is set correctly on the unit to Daylight Central Time. It is giving me the correct time. The portal doesn't seem to have the option for a Daylight Central Time. It should still work. I am really getting fed up of the chats with support, only to be told I need to call and have it taken care of. I even told Matt about this a couple of weeks ago. I got no response from him. What is going on with this? When it works, it works well. If this wasn't a gift, I would return it and hope for a better outcome with a new one (no receipt).

When I start music using the touchscreen of the iPhone (which by law I am not allowed to do while driving) then the music will play normally over the car audio.
The car is a 6 months old Opel with built-in audio system nr. 650.
With iOs 7 it worked fine.

I can see the wifi networks when i use the setup wizard, but after it trie to connect, i get this " - " symbol against my wifi ( in the wifi options). The wifi SSID is recognized and i face this same issue across all the wifi networks i tried to connect. I am currently using the T-mobile prepaid card. I cannot browse the internet and i feel really bad that blackberry has this wonderful device which cannot perform a basic function like wifi connectivity easily.
Kindly help me, as i really need the wifi connectivity. As a student the data plan seems too expensive.

Another thing that I noticed is that when I start my computer, the phone recognizes the connection and starts to charge, but as soon as Windows starts, the connection is lost, like if the USB cable was disconnected. Still, when I disconnect and reconnect the cable, the PC Companion acts like if a device was connected to the computer and tries to find the phone, but fails. I have Windows 7, if it matters.
