Where do I get the ovi software for my mobile..? I answered yes to install new version today and it installed then crashed. Subsequently the phone started thowing kinds of errors when starting apps. Had to uninstall OVI from my phone. Phone now works OK but can only access ovi via web. I would like OVI app back on my phone.

I`m surprised that Gmail for Mobile app doesn`t work on my Nokia 6303, though it did work well with my old 6151 (and the operator is the same, nothing has changed except the phone model). It downloads properly, but when I try to open the Gmail, it keeps constantly asking for internet connection. But the connection is there! I press the "yes" but it keeps asking till finally tells to check the connectivity... And I have no problems with browsing the internet or opening and using my email accounts via web. I checked my settings but they seemed to be fine. But Gmail just doesn`t work, though I`ve tried several versions besides the newest one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI became the proud owner of a G3 about a week or so ago and there is just one gripe I have with it..why is it not recognizing my bluetooth headphones? Pretty sure I'm doing everything correctly that I did with the last phone I had (Alcatel One Touch Evolve). Am I the only one with this issue? Pardon me if a similar thread has already been posted, couldn't find the search function on the mobile version of this site (either that or it's right in front of my face) , anyway, if a similar thread has been posted, just post the link or whatever and I'll go from there.
View 9 Replies View Related80-90% of the time when I am using the Desktop Manager software, I use it to make an internet connection. When I connect my phone to the pc, the software searches for application updates with a window that pops up. Since I do not have an internet connection yet, this is quite pointless. There is a cancel button, but even when pressed it still will take upwords of 30sec-1min before the window goes away, and I can make my internet connection. Is there some way to make the software not search for updates? I am using version 5.0.1 on both winXP pro, and win7 pro.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is for a 32GB One, (AT&T carrier). I use the phone to listen to music on a motorcycle, specifically to stream Pandora and I plug the phone into the sound system of the bike. Not sure how important it is but the only time this happens is when it is plugged into the bike so it seems odd that Voice search would do anything- I assumed the built in mic would be inactive since the phone thinks it is connected to a headset but I haven't tested that (just a thought).
The problem is that the phone will launch Google's voice-driven search application for no apparent reason. I have tried turning Google Now off and went into the "Voice" settings and disabled hotword detection but the app still randomly launches.
When the app self launches, the phone goes nuts cutting out Pandora, tries to dial various numbers (but typically is a re-dial of the last number). I am too new to Android to realize what is launching this and can't figure out how to kill or disable Voice Search. I have tried going to Settings-->Apps and all apps but I could not specifically find the Voice Search app.
What is spb shell? Does anybody know of where I can get the application spb mobile shell for my vivaz that is free and is decent?

I have previously had a similar phone which came with music which for the last year I have been using. That unlimited downloads has now expired. So I have plugged in my new phone, which I have not used to purcahse any music with through my old unlimited downloads, and it is saying:You can't use this mobile for Nokia Music Unlimited edition mobile. The phone is capable of playing music (it is an XpressMusic mobile). I have specifically gone and purchased this phone for the unlimited downloads and will not be very happy if I am unable to activate it.

Is there a known issue with the Search Screen Keyboard not hiding itself when you leave the search screen in IOS 5.1.1? Ever since I upgraded, if I go to the search screen, then flick the screen back to the first Aps page, the keyboard stays there in the middle of the screen and I have to click the off button off and on again.

I don't understand how this happening, I don't know where to turn this OFF. The menus were not so friendly actually. Emails, Internet connection setups, WAP Services something were all around. It's not been sorted out accordingly. The user is almost dizzy how to operate this "friendly" phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've searched high and low, it seems I may be the first to report this issue:not long after I upgraded to the new firmware, I noticed that I can no longer search my contact list; I can get into contact list, but when I try to type some letters into the search box, the letters do not "stay", it comes up for a very brief moment and then deletes itself :-/

I've tried typing in other application: works as normal
I've tried clearing the cache using y-browser: no good
I've tried reseting the phone - both the 7370 and 7780 method: doesn't really fix it -> 7370 reset will fix it for a while, but as soon as I load my contact lists back in, it either stops working or allow for one more search and then it's gone.I'm suspecting it's related to the new firmware... and that's pretty much the only thing I haven't tried, I don't know how to roll-back the firmware

I'm using E72, and I have big problem on this. It never automatic search GSM network when it lost it mean my phone coming to out of service until I go to. Setting -> Phone -> Network to manual search. And here the parameter in my cellphone: Network mode : GSM Operator selection : Automatic.

Why can't you set Contacts to search by company? The settings only allow you to sort by first or last name.
I am having a problem with my new Nokia 5230. The offline search does not work in OVI Maps. I installed the newest version 3.03 and uploaded the maps of my country (the Netherlands) to the phone. I am able to pick a direction while using the map itself but when i enter an address in the search bar it give the error: no offline results found.Maps is in offline modus because of my subscription without internet.tried entering just the streetname, streetname and city, streetname city and country, different streets.

When I go to the dialpad, dialing a number doesn't bring up any contacts; and attempting to press any keyboard buttons (i.e. "M" for "Michael") does absolutely nothing either.I am sure I must be missing something. Could anybody suggest what I'm doing wrong?
