Have tried uninstalling from the apps list, 3.04 remains in place.

Aug 14, 2010I am running Ovi Suite on Windows 7 Home 64-bit and keeps on crashing. when i open it i get a message that says sth like "Ovi stopped working. windows: there is a problem that prevents the programme from working properly" etc. (i'm translating from italian). Full stop. Nothing more, nowhere to click. There is no error message.I saw this thread (/t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/Ovi-Suite-keeps-on-crashing-version-2-2-0-245/td-p/730687) and tried to follow the procedure but this does not apply to my case because:
1) there is no such thing like a window dialog suggesting "Check online for a solution and close the program" AND "close the program".
2) there is no such thing like "View problem details" etc.
Do you know how to fix this problem and/or give me a link where I can download a former Ovi Suite version that works properly?

Dec 12, 2011What's the most recent Desktop Manager Version that had built-in support for rolling back your OS (i.e. it detects all OS versions installed on your system & lets you pick the one you want, even if it's a downgrade) and where can I download the install files? I just found out the hard way that DM 6.1 does NOT seem to give you that option, so I had to reinstall an old Version 5.0 build that's like a year and a half old... which I'm happy to keep using, if that's what I have to do. But is there a newer version of DM that still has that functionality? Using the Apploader program WITHOUT Desktop Manager does NOT work well for me, as it ONLY installs the newest OS version present on your machine, which has resulted in OS 6.0 getting installed against my wishes, thus wasting the time spent on the install (installing OS 6.0 on a BlackBerry 9700 is a monumentally bad idea and I can't recommend it to anyone! ) Thus, I need a version of Desktop Manager that supports rolling back to an earlier OS.

May 10, 2010I have a jailbroken & unlocked (used RedSn0w) 3G running 3.0 that I want to upgrade to either 3.1 or 3.1.2 so I can run a couple of applications which require 3.1 or higher.
I've searched around and haven't found what I consider straight forward information. So my question is do I use the Pwnage tool to modify a 3.1.2 firmware and then restore from that, then use RedSn0w to unlock again?
If I use the Pwnage tool to create a custom IPSW, do I tell it to activate or not?

I currently have the iPhone 3G and of course lots of apps, videos, music, contacts and so on.
I pre-ordered the iPhone 4 for delivery, So, when the new phone arrives, do I sync my old iPhone 3G and then plug in the new iPhone 4 and restore from the iPhone 3G backup?
I am asking because I don’t want to screw-up the new phone when I get it.

I've seen that this has happened to a lot of people and it's been fixed with repairing the phone through Sony Bridge for Mac, and I've tried countless times to repair it but the connection procedure (connecting the cable and holding the volume - button) does not work at all.Â
