View 9 RepliesAs there appear to be some UK 5800 owners with this problem. How about - for those people that have phones locked on a providers software/firmware and the map license has expired (like me on 3 in the UK at 30.0.011) that Nokia give us a free license for the current version?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe know that Maps are free on Nokia phones. But when I installed the Ovi maps on my Nokia e71, it says that my India navigation license has expired on 14-2-1009 and I have to renew it. Why would that be? How do I start using my free maps?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got German T-Mobile N97. I've been trying to "unlock" Maps on it ever since I saw that "Maps are free" ad. I've survived a couple of updates since than but nothing seams to happen. I keep getting "Your Europe navigation license has expired on X.X.X. Buy new license to continue suing navigation?" If I say Yes, I get prompted to pay fee for a month or a year. If I say No, voice guidance closes. Any idea why is this so and what can I do to get voice guidance working? Both Ovi Suite and N97 seam to be up to date: 2.2.0.245/21.0.045.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 and have successfully updated the firmware to v31.0.101 and installed maps version 3.01, but I cannot get the free navigation to work. I have the latests maps using map loader, but every time I try and start it navigating it tells me that my license has expired. In Shops & Licences/My Licences all that is listed is 'Drive Europe - Expired on 26/10/2009'.
Shouldn't Nokia Maps 3 be free?Is there a license code I can input manually to get free drive and walk navigation? Every time I try update (in Shops & Licences/My Licences) it says that there are no updates available.
I've just got a Nokia X6 which I'm under the impression comes with free maps and navigation? However, when I try to plan a driving route, I'm prompted to activate a 10-day license of navigation before it will work - is navigation not free? The phone is using the latest firmware and Maps version is 3.03.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have used Maps 2.0 last year on my N95 on vacation in Indonesia and bought a month license for spoken navigation. Needless to say this has expired, but can't be renwed (to my knowledge). This year I want to go to Indonesia again, but the online store (in my phone) only lists Europe (€ 2.99/month or € 9.99/year) now. Is there a way to obtain other regions for Maps 3.01? (I'm not counting on a free version for the N95 any time soon)
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere is problem in my nokia n82 I after navigation become free i tried to udate it to ovi 3 and downloaded last maps however after while from navigation i informed to get liecence i do not know why? nokia say that navigation is free now why it ask for licence?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI know the free license for S60 3rd edition, Feature Pack 1 devices haven't come yet (except for E71 and E66). But nokia can give our poor old devices working on FP1 free navigation license for life time. As they used to provide free voice guided navigation for free for a week (or 7 days). So the same way they could provide our devices with free navigation for lifetime if they can't make new version of maps then. The OVI maps 3.0 works flawlessly in N82, N95. If nokia somehow decides to give the activation key for lifetime navigation then we all users would be very grateful.
So anybody who likes this post could support me and please give kudos to me. We can mail this post to nokia and if they listens poor chap's cry then we would also be among the ones using free navigation in our phones!
I have had problems with my phone for quite a while now, but last night I reset the phone and everythings fine now except for on thing! My music won't play because it took the licenses off! I have 173 songs so that's QUITE a lot.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have firmware 20.0.019 and Maps v3.01 but i'm still being asked for a license code or to pay 14.99 for one years license. I've used the downloads maps feature in Nokia PC Suite to get the uk maps but i keep getting the warning about my license running out (runs out 22:01 05/02/10 uk time). Any ideas on how to get the free version of drive navigation?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe problems with Comes with Music continue. My first year has expired, and though I have bought a second Comes With Music device I have not yet worked out how I am going to plug that in (see separate post about problems of only one phone per CWM account even if you buy a new phone and renew).
Put my old SIM in new CWM but without yet activating the PIN (two months from sales date to do so) and old phone gets upset and music stops working. Bizarre, so think redownload music to phone again, pain but if necessary will do so.
However, when I try to download the music from PC to phone using Nokia Ovi Player, won't let me, it tells me I have not got the license, I can only download music from the Music Vault.
So I download a track from the music vault, and then try to download it to phone.Still will not let me.Can play track quite happily on the computer, but not on the phone.
As an aside people talk about DRM and how if you are a legal music downloader (like me) then it should not bother you. The problem is I am trying to use music that I have legally downloaded to use on my phone according to my agreement with Nokia, and the DRM is stopping me using it, even though it should not. The reason people are against DRM it is all too good at stopping you doing what you should be doing.
I'm using my Nokia 5310, it has been updated to the latest firmware, I'm on the latest Nokia Music Player, and it expired less than a month ago.
My trail period of OVI maps navigation has expired on my E71. I have downloaded the latest version of the maps that states its free to download and navigate. When I start to drive or walk I get a message stating "your Europe navigation license has expired on 3.2.2010. Buy a new license to continue using navigation"If I say yes to this I am given the option of paying from 1.99 Euro per day to 59.99 Euro per year and stops navigating From all I have read on the internet OVI maps and navigation is supposed to be free on NOKIA smart phones. what do I need to do to to get this working.

View 9 Replies View Relatedwith Nokia's recent apparently confirmation that free Ovi Maps weren't going to be hitting my N79, I purchased the City Explorer licence. This didn't go particularly well, with the device claiming that sending the premium text failed (it didn't) and that it would want to try again (what?) and me receiving only three £1.50 charges and 2 receipts before that, but at any rate I now have a working licence. However I was never prompted to choose to bind to SIM or device. Any idea which it would've gone with?
