I have had problems with my phone for quite a while now, but last night I reset the phone and everythings fine now except for on thing! My music won't play because it took the licenses off! I have 173 songs so that's QUITE a lot.
The only music I can play on my new 5800 is the music that was already pre-loaded. I have no difficulty adding items from Windows Media Player into the music library, but when I go to play a track, a message comes up stating:"Unable to acquire license. Unknown content provider."I'm using the 'Media Transfer' mode as per the phone instructions.
I purchased a nokia N8 with a ovi music unlimited package.Initially everything was fine but some days latter suddenly whenever I download songs through Ovi player and transfer them to Nokia N8, the phone dosent play them and says 'Licence expired or missing. Get new license?' and then each song takes a minute or so to get a new licence key.
Ovi software wants to renew license on my downloade music, but as my lisence is expired I can't do that. I understood thet I can use downloaded music after license expired. Sent several mails ro Nokia without answer...
Could someone please post the license file for music of 5800. Mine is not working after firmware update. I took my phone to the nokia care center but he didnt have the license file. so he told me he will send me over mail but that didnt happen.
Anyways here is the instruction he gave:- 1.When he send me the key, I need to copy this in the import folder on memory drive. 2. shutdown the phone, remove battery. 3. put back the batter and start the phone. 4. Music should work.
I have a song that i downloaded from the Ovi music store and transfered it to my Nokia 5230. It stated that i did not have the correct license to listen to it and that i should try to get it over air. It then leads me onto the internet where i have to enter in my Ovi store username and password, i enter in the correct details but it tells me that i need to allow cookies to access the next page, the only problem is that i have already allowed cookies, why does it not recognize this?
I've just got a 6600 slide and would like to try maps before I buy it. I have requested a free navigation license, but when I try to use it, I get a message that the license is invalid. What do I have to do to be able to use it?
My Nokia 5310 Comes with music was working fine, but then I decided to fill it up, which I did tonight. At the end all the music stopped working and it said it needed to download licence. I thought okay that's odd I will reload the music. Now I when I try to transfer music from my PC I get an error with no explanation, but once it said my device was not registered. Everything worked previously, and I'm logged in to Nokia Music and the internet works (otherwise I would not be able to post this). The phone still has the original SIM card in and nothing has changed on it.
I've one all the switching off and switching on again. Could there just be a problem with the server, but it is not just that I can't play my current music, I can't play anything I've downloaded to the phone. This bothers me, I have downloaded quite a lot of music more than my 2gb card, and over the year I would think I will certainly download more than the 4gb max card size. This is a pain. Is it a faulty phone? Are the Nokia servers down? How long am I going to be without my music.
Recently bought the Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic Comeswithmusic above which I love generally, but it wont let me transfer any 'comeswithmusic' obtained tracks to my phone, it keeps saying I need a license (track transferred with one error).....I only bought it a week ago!! Ive looked at a few of the other posts and it mentions something about formatting the memory, but Im loathe to unless I know its defintely the right solution.....Ive been transferring with Nokia Music as the software and the softwares all up to date.
As there appear to be some UK 5800 owners with this problem. How about - for those people that have phones locked on a providers software/firmware and the map license has expired (like me on 3 in the UK at 30.0.011) that Nokia give us a free license for the current version?
I have just paid £7.99 for an album which I have loaded onto my E71 from the Ovi store. However I am unable to play the music, on the E71, as apparently I have an invalid license. I then attempted to acquire the license over the air, however this fails with an MDS Error (what ever that is). I can play the album perfectly well on my PC!
i had transferred my music downloaded on my phone to my pc but was unable to play it on the pc then i registered my pc on the ovi player still cant play the files it says that the songs are protected under microsoft VRM & needs small update which i tried to run but it continues to say that cant connect to internet whereas i m connected to the internet.
also the musc i had trasferred on to my pc when i m trying to transfer the files back to my device the pc it does not allow me & says that this content requires licence...
Having just purchased an E52, I transferred two .mp3 files with correct tags into an E52's 2Gb card using OVI Music Player. Although the files will play from the E52 in Ovi Player, the E52 itself will not detect the files during Library Refresh. SO far I have not been able to get the E52 to recognise any .mp3 via Player or Gallery
This is my first music phone. I've transferred music from my pc to a memory card for my Nokia 7510. The music that was ripped from my cd's to the computer will not play on the phone saying that valid license is not available. Can this be corrected or does music have to be purchased online?
I have an N95 that will automatically accept calls through my car stereo's bluetooth. My bluetooth is always on and connects automatically and the stereo is set to authorised.
Does anybody know how to play the music via the bluetooth? I've searched the forums but with no joy, I've also googled it. I'm fairly sure it is possible (maybe 3rd party software) as my ringtone (MP3) plays and also if I have the music player on and a call comes in, I get a few seconds of music.
I've just bought a 5310 pay as you go Comes with Music package, everything installed without a problem and I can download whole albums - however I can't play anything on my registered pc and I can't transfer to the 5310. The properties on the the downloaded music files show no play rights and I get an Unexpected error CD002781 whenever I try to play anything. The Music application says the PC is registered. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have car kit ck-300 in my car and HTC Legend. I don't have any problem with call in and call out, but music is mute when phone connected to ck-300 . I had had same problem with Nokia 5800 when I had old firmware on ck-300, but after upgrade firmware to version 1.6 everything worked correct. Now problem back for HTC Legend.
I have a problem with my Nokia C6-00. My phone can't open music player, maps, and WhatsApp aplication. If i open that menu, my phone is not responding. I try to turn off my phone by removing the baterry and turn it on again. And, when i open file manager and i try to open music folder, my phone is not responding again. If i didn't open that menu, my phone is work well.
I've recently purchased the E65, and when I connect it to the BH-503 bluetooth headset, the music sounds like it was recorded with a mic off an old radio. When I connect it to my old 6300, the sound is crystal clear. I also can't use the play/pause, previous and forward hotkeys on the headset with the E65. I'd really prefer not having to lug my old mobile around just to play music. Is there something wrong with the phone, or is this intentional?
