View 4 RepliesI installed connectivity cables and nokia pc suite, when I click on connect to phone in pc suite it comes up with usb not recognized and in screen box "unknown device".I have since found out via nokia forum that you now don't have to install connectivity cable driver as they are now in pc suite.Help appreciated. Also this is my first attempt at trying these installs so I may have gone wrong somewhere though I did follow all the instructions.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cann't find the updated maximum microSD memory card size for the Nokia 6303 Classic phone. All the spec's sites and documentation list 4GB as the maximum, but I'm using an 8GB card without any problems. (After downloading fireware update)
I would like to upgrade to a higher size either 16GB or better still 32GB. But before heading out and buying a card I would like to know if anyone has tried using these cards with this handset before successfully.
Why does all the downloaded music go directly to the f: memory card, when downloading music from Ovi Music Store? It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.
I like my phone, but recently, when I try to access my music file and every time I play them using Music player. "not enough memory" pops up but I have 20mb free file for my 2 gig memory card and 30mb for the phone memory. I've tried updating the files thur "update music library" but still the same issue. The music can play but i have to go to my memory card just to pick a song and its so much better with the music player application....
View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know why it happened but, I was downloading some music a couple days ago and, all my songs in my music player went to my memory card. I don't know how to get the music back to the player. It sucks because now I have to manually find songs after every song played. No more random play, repeat, equalizer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone said "memory full, delete some data",Ever since, all my tracks bar 3 are not showing on the memory card, neither are about 90% of my sound, image and video files.
Basically, my memory card is only showing a very small number of files and the rest I cannot access. Phone is N73 that caused this. Memory card is Mini SD.Ive used data cable and is still the case on the laptop, also tried memory card reader. Still exactly the same only showing small number of actual files. I can see the folder names however it says empty. But in properties it still recognizes the fact that that 1.9GB is used of 2.0GB. However I can only access about 100MB of those files.
I have a virus on my memory card which has de-stabilised my phone, has it seems to be frezzing, shutting down and just mis behaving. the problem i have with re formatting the card is that it came with some system files. if i reformat through the phone , will it replace all the system files on the memeory card...

View 12 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the really magnificent phone 6720. I have a problem playing songs I have bought in iTunes with the non-DRM'ed format .m4a.
The player seems to recognize the tracks as playable and imports them to the library alright. But when playing a particular song the player skips to the next after a brief attempt. It looks like a bug.If I side-load my SD-card with the exact same tracks into other S60 devices there are no problems at all. So:
6720c doesn't work!!!
N85 works
5800 works
5320 works
Issue #1: I deleted all of my music on my 5800 and reloaded all new music (about 2 gigs worth), I restarted the phone and then refreshed my library. It added my new music but it did not delete the old music. How can I delete these old files from my library.
Issue #2: Every time I connect my phone in Mass Storage mode and sometimes in PC Suite mode, the Messenger says that it is Unable to Read the memory card and switches my text message saves to the C:, I then have to go back and change my message save location back to E: manually. Is there a way to stop the phone from doing this.
Issue #3: After upgrading my 5800 to v40 my left headphone plays louder than my right. I have tried different headphones and different songs and they all played the same. I am push the plug all the way in. It was working just fine before the upgrade. Is anyone else having this same issue?
These attention to detail issues get annoying when they pop up, Nokia (or Symbian) really needs to fix these issues. Some of these issue carry over from update to update and thats not good business. I would like to stay away from resetting my phone if at all possible...I have done so many resets, I have lost count and quite frankly my phone is setup the way I wont it and do not want to sit and set it up again.
Can i put 32gb MicroSD in my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nokia 5310 Xpress Music about a week ago. It is a great phone, but the problem I am experiencing has to with the memory card. When I try to format it, I select "Options" while "Memory Card" is highlighted but I do not have the option of formatting it. Is there something wrong with my phone? Currently, my phone is V 06.68, which I am assuming is the latest version, since I have the Nokia Ovi Suite installed, and when I select "Update", it says I have the latest version.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using nokia 5230. The problem is whenever I select option Refresh Library, the device is unable to load new music files which I have transferred to memory card using PC suite. I am able to see in gallery. Only problem is with the music files.....
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently had to reformat my memory card as the camera refused to work with the memory card inserted. I took off all pics, videos and music and saved them to the computer. However, when I've gone back to the Ovi store and into the "my stuff" tab, I cannot click the download button on many of the apps (mainly the ones that I actually use which makes it even more annoying). My husband has told me to go into "settings", then "application manager", then finally into "installed apps" and delete the files for the apps that I would like to reinstall (to reactivate the download button again). fantastic idea, but the file names don't give me any sort of clue as to what app they're for. I asked if it would be quicker and easier just to delete everything from the "installed apps" folder, at which point my husband nearly had a breakdown and told me not to do that as there were files in that folder that relate to firmware downloads and could cause more problems by deleting them.

i own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to know how to move the Music Player Application to the expanded Memory Card.(It's mentioned it can be dome on this site: http://mobilereviews.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=505&tab=5) OR How can I point the music player to play music from the memory card?
There's a folder in the memory card called 'Music' but it doesn't show up when accessing music from the music player application. At the moment I have to go to: Settings | Data Managager | File Manager | Memory Card | Music to play music, rathern then just open the player and go straight from there.
I have a strange problem with my 6220 classic (latest firmware 05.15.217.05). It seems that whenever I take a picture using the built in camera, the SD-card's filesystem gets more or less corrupted (the pictures are saved on an 8GB MicroSD card FAT32 formatted). When checking the filesystem after taking one ore more pictures using latest dosfsck (a unix tool), errors range from "Free cluster summary wrong" (which is more or less harmless), differing FATs, and truncated files (in all my test cases images that were just taken).Other applications are also affected: I had no voice in my navigation application until I repaired the file system using fsck.
