View 1 RepliesI use my Motorola Bravo with headphones to play music when I walk. However, I'd also like to be able to play the music through speakers in order to pump the volume. However, when I plug in external speakers to my phone, the music sounds like it does through headphones. When I remove the speakers from the phone, the music plays louder than when I have speakers plugged in.
How can I use my phone to play music through speakers properly? Is there a sound setting that I'm missing to switch back and forth? I want something like when you put an iPhone into a docking station and you can hear the music clearly on the other side of the room.
My Bravo will not play any notification sounds. This happened after I downloaded the app Zedge for my phone. I selected and downloaded a notification sound from them, (I've used this app a ton!) and set it on my phone. It worked but I got sick of it and tried to change it. It still played the original tone. So I deleted it from my phone, selected a diff tone, and now it won't play any notification sound at all when I get a text. I figured it out. I went into my text messages. Then hit the menu button, and settings... from there I chose a notification tone and then it worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust recently my pc began having a problem recognizing my Bravo as a phone. Until then everything was fine. Now when I plug my Bravo into a USB port, I hear a chime, but no window opens. When I go to My Computer, the phone is shown as Removeable Disk (X:).When I double click on it, a small window opens with this message: "Insert Disk. Please insert a disk into drive X:." Under properties, it appears as Motorola MB520 USB Device, a disk drive. After plenty of research, I have tried changing the assigned letter of the drive twice.Every other USB device I own works just fine on my PC. The only way I can access the phone on my PC is to turn off the pc, connect the phone, power on the pc, and then the phone appears as a phone. When I connect the phone to another pc, the phone appears as it should. Some research shows this problem may be related to Acronis on my pc, but another pc with Acronis on it can recognize my phone. Could this be the result of disconnecting the phone without "preparing" the disconnect?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhich folder is being accessed for ringtones. I know how to get to the point of changing the tone: Menu > Settings > Sound but the list of available ringtones is super short considering how many I have on my SD card. There are several basic AT&T/Motorola tones and then a couple of random ones of mine, but I'm not even sure how those made the list. I set one of the tones/files on my SD card for my "default" ringtone many months ago, but it's not coming up now on the aforementioned list.
I even created a new folder on my SD card called Ringtones (because I had a bunch of random folders on there... Music, Tones, Audio, Sounds), but there is absolutely no way -- as far as I can see -- that I can use/access ANY of them for setting as a ringtone, default or otherwise. When I go into the Sound Settings, as previously mentioned, the list is not using the Ringtones folder from my SD card. Do I need to move tones from the SD card to the phone in order to use them? If so, then how or to where.
DH and I just got new LG Env3 phones through Verizon.Say what you want, we both like our new phones and are pleased with many of their features. We both do indeed like the notepad except that we rapidly ran out of memory and were unable to find a setting that would store our notepad texts to our microSD cards. I have been searching for 3rd party list, text or notepad applications.I'm not adverse to paying for an application that would be used.Unfortunately, my limited knowledge has me wondering if the available applications would work. We'd also like to be able to save our notes onto our computers. The program I like the most is Listpro http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/lp/listpro.php but again with my limited knowledge, I'm not really sure it would work on our phones. Our pc's are Windows XP and Home Vista (looking forward to our next purchase which will be Windows 7). Any advice you offer would be appreciated. Is Listpro comptible with our phones and computers? Is there another similar program that would be? Free can be good, but I am willing to pay.

I have tried two refurb phones from ATT and a new battery, and it still does it. I even got a new SD card, thinking that maybe it was a memory issue. Still restarting. Is there a solution (besides just buying a new phone)?

also in the settings>applications?managing applications and in the sd section its showing 2.90 gb availible of 7.99 or somrthing, basically the apps are there but i can't view them(thats what i gatherd from this issue)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the sd card on my Xoom wifi with Android 4.0.4. I have my music collection on an sd card which is loaded in my Xoom. Initially the music plays fine in the Google Play Music App, but after using the tablet for a day or two the music will no longer play. I get a message that the music cannot be played. This message then appears when attempting to play any music on the sd card.
I can temporarily fix the problem by erasing the Media Storage and Google Play Music data or resetting the tablet as suggested by gmanapps, but the problem repeats itself. I also tried syncing/not syncing with Google Music, disabling the Google Play Music app and using an alternate player, and formatting the sd card.
In general I have been happy with my Xoom, but this issue really concerns me. Does this point to a larger problem of stability in the Android file structure?
Just received a 32GB PNY Class 10 card and installed it in my 3G Xoom. Everything appears to be working, create directories, copied videos to the Video directory, etc. The same videos I moved to the SD card all played just fine from the default directory.Video app sees the videos, but when I attempt to open a video the screen dims and nothing happens. I've stopped the Video app, cleared the cache, and unmounted and remounted the SD Card.

I cant open my gallery of pictures. Also how do I transfer my 2000 contacts to my computer?
For some reason my text didn't save when I first posted this, so I'll try again:
My issue is that Google Play Music seems to save all cached music to the internal memory of the phone, and not the external SD card. Android can see this external SD card fine, and in fact saves any photos to it, so there is an issue with Google Play Music's visitbility of the SD card.
with my HTC Desire S, Google Play Music cached to the external SD card no problem.
I can see the mp3 and flac files when I connect my RAZR to my laptop, but the device itself can't see/play the music. Not sure what is going on here. why I can't access the music on my SD card that was fine on my Droid4? Seems odd that my music folder is empty (when I browse to it using files/astro.)
