View 9 Replies View Relatedi have an nokia n95 8gb.And i have a problem with my screen, one day i slide up the phone to write an sms, and instantly my nokia screen went black like a negative photo, and i turned off the phone. When i turned on the phone, the phone screen didnt give any signs of working, but the rest of the phone was fine, the lights turned on and stuff. I could work with the phone without looking on the screen. But in the next day i went to nokia care point and they looked to the phone, and they told me that was the ribbon flex . I bought a ribbon flex to my nokia and replaced it yesterday, but the phone is in the same situation, the screen does not work and the rest of the phone is fine. I ask if someone can help me with this.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi got my n900 the day before i went on a 6 week holiday and initially everything seemed fine, i quite liked using it whilst away. Then after a couple of days i noticed it was rebooting unexpectedly. after a couple of weeks of these silly reboots it just stoped rebooting and it just gets stuck with the white dots. i've read lots of threads that say do this and that but none of the replies seem to be speciic to my issue. I've charged the battery for a couple of hours and tried the boot up with U key depressed but nothing seems to allow it to boot. i am a total linux noob and thought this device might be a useful as an introduction to the OS but i am very dispoainted so far. If i flash the device will i loose all the data that is currently stored on the device, all my recent holiday snaps and videos? i just want to get a working device and not loose all the good memories currently stored on it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDo you have sometimes when looking between photos you get a black screen even though there should be a photo there in place and by going to the icon preview screen back to the photo it comes back up? It's happened to me even after restoring.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've aquired a N900 with the never ending flashing dots boot problem. I've tried reflashing it a couple of times from my windows 7 laptop but no luck. I did get it to boot into the OS once, but turned it off to insert the SIM and had the same problem again. Is there anything I can try to get this thing working properly again?
View 28 Replies View RelatedMy gf 701 was freezing terribly, first she told me that the hardware keys & unlock slider not functioning just the touchscreen and the power button, this happens to my n8 sometimes, i usually restart it and its back on track, i did 2 backups (one full backup & other without phone settings and apps but everything else) with Nokia Suite ,i did soft reset ,when restarted ,same thing, hardware keys & unlock slider not functioning ,then tried hard reset, after hard reset, it acts like it's now booting up showing the dots, but soon after just shows black screen, when connected to Nokia Suite it doesn't recognise the phone, is there any way i can fix this by loading back firmware? if so what program should i use?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI keep having an error on boot-up where, after the Nokia logo comes and goes, the flashing dot sequence continues indefinitely, for hours; boot-up is never completed. The N900 becomes unusable. While in this "Forever Dots" state, if I try:
- tapping on/off button: flashing dots pause for a moment, then continue flashing forever as before- holding on/off button: device switches off; but when I switch it back on, after the Nokia logo we're back to the forever flashing dots- taking out the battery and replacing: same as holding on/off button..............
how to allow the photo gallery on the nokia 7320 to only show certain photo not all your photos
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads. What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
Somehow on the toolbar Facebook is next to share I would not like it to be there... I don't want to share...

When I'm browsing websites, watching movies, or really anytime the phone is on there are 2 very bright white dots along the right edge of display and the dots are indeed under the glass.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn some (but not all) apps it just seems to be there towards the bottom of the screen. If you press it you can drag it to other areas of the screen. It seems like it's a floating menu button. Is there some setting that turns this on and off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having the same issue with no audio on the incoming side. Occasionally on the sending side also. Also data will occasionally go out. The solution for both of these for me is to cycle the airplane mode toggle to turn the radio off/on.
Also I am having an issue where I get "staticky" moving dots on the display. Pressing the power button off/on to cycle the display fixes it.
I used to be able to see the actual events on each day of the month but now I only see a green dot indicating there is an event. You have to click on that day to see what the event is. It was much better before when you could see at a glance your schedule for the whole month and not have to look at one day at a time. This change happened yesterday after having the phone for one week. My phone syncs with my google calendar on my computer.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI dropeed my iPhone and the screen is shattered, but the more annoying part is this brown cluster of something on the side of my screen. It was originally much smaller but throughout the day the brown part moved and is larger. If I get my screen replaced will this go away? Is there any way I can get this fixed without just replacing my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHere is the picture where the problem is most obvious: [URL] ....
As you can see, there are 5 green dots in the picture. I understand that when taking direct pictures of a sundown etc., that there might be some lens flare in the picture, but these dots are caused by the lights of a CHRISTMAS TREE! (How many people are going be taking pictures of their Christmas tree in the coming few weeks..?) Also, no matter how I positioned my camera, the dots still continued to show in other pictures as well, forcing me to delete them. Â
What are my options here? Buy Photoshop and edit the dots out and accept that a 899€ phone has a bunch of camera issues, or is it possible that apple could at some point fix these lens flare issues in an update?
So close to being done with this phone as much as I like it. I've had so many problems. I now have purple dots on my selfie mode camera. They don't go away and Ive done a hard reset, too. I backed up using smart switch and when trying to restore I am getting an error and can't get my stuff back from smart switch. So frustrating. And even with the reset I still am having the small purple dots.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been using my nexus 5 with a version of 5.1.1 ... One day I accidentally restarted it.
It is stuck on google logo with the four dots spinning infinitely.
I've tried downgrading it. it was a success but I don't have signal "baseband " i think. And can't open playstore, camera and gallery on version stock 4.4 .
When I try upgrading it from stock ver 4.4 to lollipop still the problem is the same. I am running out of options .
Nexus 5 keeps restarting (looping from Google Logo - 4 color dots screen)... I flashed lollipop from Google Website the latest one last Nov 22 if im not mistaken everything works great except yesterday. constantly looping to google logo then the 4 colored dots loading screen then google logo. I tried to reset volume up down + power or volume down + power but no lock. cant flash again because it wont stay on to the fastboot screen will reboot after few secs...
