Upgraded the E72 and got smart connect.I added 2 WLAN access points within the smart connect config and selected the access point "Wifi" (smart connect name) in de browser.However, the web browser keeps looking for a connection, without results.

View 48 Replies View RelatedSpace bar problem does not end with stop working here and there, my brother has a E71 and he can use space bar in home screen for searching the contact names, which makes it much much easier but in E72 u can't use it because it becomes Symbol botton instead "WEIRD"
example: if you have a name like: Megan Fox (YOU WISH) - in E71 write " m (space) f" and there you go buy with E72 if you hit space bar the Symbol block pups up " WEIRD " so you only can search eather first or last name "BAD"...i tested this on few E72s (i made sure it's not only mine)DO SOMETHING Nokia !! we (Nokia fans) are getting beat up, it's been so long and E72 really needs an UPDATE!!!!!
I am using nokia c6-01 with simbian anna (latest update). Can't install any software, it says "installation failed". Reinstall the OS, but nothing happened.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI usually use smart connect and NFC tag to fully silent my phone at night time (no vibrate or sound), yet the only option in smart connect is sound, vibrate and priority, and priority mode vibrates. I realise I can now change to full silent mode from the lock screen with the volume button, but i thought it would be an option to put into smart connect as a selection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo just in the last few days my phone has started having some issues. I got a Powerbot wireless charger(PB1020) about the same time I got my phone at release. It's worked fine , and still does as far as I know. But know, after my phone is fully charged, when I remove it from the charger it's pretty warm(this is a new development, not really had it get very warn on the wireless charger before) and then it begins to connect and disconnect from the wifi repeatedly. I'm talking like every second it switches. I keep seeing people saying to turn off Smart Network Switch, but I did that the second day I had my phone, and it's still off, so obviously its something else.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Huawei Android smart watch and I enabled Smart Lock so that as long as the phone and watch were connected by Bluetooth the phone would remain unlocked. If they are not connected, my fingerprint would unlock the phone. But enabling Smart Lock seems to have no effect - the phone remains locked when connected to the watch. I have rebooted the phone multiple times after turning off security and Smart Lock then turning them both back on after rebooting.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have experienced this feature on my gfs S4 so I know how it is supposed to work, but I have smart alerts turned on in the settings of my S5 but they do not seem to be working. I have not tested it with a missed called yet, but it says it works with messages and other notifications but it does not vibrate when I pick it up. Are there any other settings that might be affecting this? I do have the vibration turn on and up pretty high, and I even enabled vibrate during ringing just to be safe.

Smart Lock for Trusted devices (that is, bluetooth) works fine. however, Trusted places does NOT work EVER.
i can add Trusted places such as Home, my office, etc.... but it does nothing. no matter what, it won't allow me two swipe up to access the phone- it requires my PIN 100% of the time.
Location Mode is High accuracy (GPS and networks).
I've rebooted many times. I've added, removed, and added places... no place ever works for this feature.
I have my smart settings set to have WIFI turned on in the house along with Blutooth and phone data. I also have synced the blutooth to my car so the phone can be connected automatically.
However, each time I get into my car the phone is not synced because the blutooth button on my phone is turned off. I have to manually turn the blutooth button on in my "settings" folder each time and then the car will sync up. I have the same problem with my wifi button on my phone. I want it set to on in the house but off whenever I leave the house. Instead, Wifi is still on when I leave the house but the blutooth is off.
The smart settings are turned on and my home location has been set, but they just aren't working.
I've gotten it at least two times and I've never even used smart remote.

I use a Samsung S6 Edge. I have a fingerprint Lock enabled with the Device Auto Lock set to 5 minutes. I also have Trusted Places (Home & Office) added. I have a trusted Device (bose Headset) added as well. But still my device gets locked automatically after 5 mins even if i am in the trusted place or connected to trusted device.

I installed a Screen Off app to save wear and tear on my power button. However, I discovered this app prevents Smart Lock from working. I set Pattern Lock with a Bluetooth device Smart Lock. When I use the Screen Off app the Lock Screen appears when I hit the power button. When I use the power button to turn off then Smart Lock works and it recognizes my Bluetooth device and skips the Pattern Lock screen.
Any way I can get a Screen Off app that allows Smart Lock to work as it should?
I just updated my Verizon S6 with the Samsung Smart Switch for Mac
right now my data isn't working, WiFi calls and texting works.
it's weird cause when I toggle off the Data it shows a line across the "4GLTE" but right now its just grayed out not letting me use data at all.
So after installing xstrestolite custom rom, Smart Switch on my pc doesnt connect to the phone. Usb storage works just fine, and the pc detects that it is Galaxy s6 connecting, but Smart Switch says "failed to connect to device". Now I do have the backup file in my pc, so could it be possible to move it to my phone and restore it from there? If so, how?

Smart Switch is stuck at "To complete the backup using Smart Switch you need to temporarily allow some permissions. Allow the permissions on the connected device"... There's no prompt on my phone.
I tried all kinds of reconnecting, restarting but still this dialogue.
I have downloaded the software to connect the C6-01 to a mac off the nokia site and cannot get this to work. Software says the phone is not compatible, despite the product being listed by nokia as being a compatible device.

It's either the phone, the ovi software.I have the following: Nokia e72 < acts as modem via cable or bluetooth > laptop..When it acts over modem via either cable or bluetooth, I can only access certain sites eg.I can't access google, or msn messenger for instance
I can access wikipedia, and my ISPs website as an example.Originally I thought it was because it was only able to access australian servers, but this isn't the case. My browser just seems unable to get a connection to certain sites/servers ever - it times out when i try to view google - but only when my phone is the link to the internet.On the phone, I can access every site/server that I want. But not on my laptop via the phone. When I'm on another internet connection (home or work etc), I have no issues connecting to those sites/servers from my laptop.Browsing google over other connections has not helped me find a solution yet. The connection to the net is stable - it doesn't drop out and can remain connected indefinitely.I'm running:
Laptop version: windows7, with ovi 2.2.0.241
Phone version: 031.023
The results have been the same on earlier versions of the phone and ovi software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

before update I could use smart dialing (meaning by entering member/letters while dialing phone was searching matching contacts and displaying the ones that do match). After update this stopped working. I still have an option to turn smart dialing on/off (when turning on/off I see a change on the screen - the part where numbers show up gets bigger when smart dialing turned off) but there are no suggestions displayed when entering numbers.
