Hi, I just upgraded to the Ovi Suite 2.2.0.241 and I'm still unable to sync with Outlook 2010. When I go to the Tools->Options->Device Sync, Calendar doesn't appear in the list. Also, when I select Options->Calendar and Tasks, it says I need to have Outlook installed.
I'm running Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 with the latest patches, and trying to sync with a Nokia N97 with the latest firmware installed.
Is it possible to use Ovi Suite under 64-bit Windows 7 for synchronizing the phone's contacts and organizer with the 64-bit version of MS Outlook included in Office 2010?

The preparation phase will not complete:
"Preparing to sync notes..."
"Preparing to sync calendar and tasks..."
It also cannot be aborted.
When setting up sync, the selection of Outlook folders is very slow (several minutes), but it eventually does allow me to choose a folder. Still, I'm guessing the problem lies with the Outlook interface (MAPI?)
I haven't tried to re-install Ovi yet, but looks like I have to.

OVI suite tells me that there has to be outlook installed.but it is a complete new installation pf all nokia components did not help.any ideas?

BB Desktop Manager says Outlook 2010 is not installed, although it is installed. Everything else (contacts, notes, tasks) is syncing, but not the calendar. Sync always worked until a month ago. Tried to fix problem by repairing Office 2010, reinstalling BB Desktop Manager. Still does not work. Why can't I sync my Outlook Calendar with my BB?

I've been trying for the last 4 hours to sync up my contacts from outlook to contacts on blackberry. 1st I got an error "0x80040fb3"...read several posts on crackberry.com & fixed this, I think. Now desktop manager acts like it is syncing & shows complete but error pops up showing unable to complete sync. doesn't say why or whatever. ugh, i'm so frustrating. probably be easier to type each contact into blackberry!! also i tried to delete contacts from blackberry using the desktop manager & it tells me the device isn't connected, but of course it is.

I ran set up and end up with message error: no outlook or ms exchange folders appear to be configured. please run intellisync config and make sure all selected apps have associated outlook/ms exchange folders. Ovi suite recognizes phone 4. When i try to sync to back up or do anything for that matter, stupid message keeps appearing: "Please change the usb mode on your device to ovi suite or pc suite mode" My phone is always in pc suite mode. No option on phone for ovi suite mode. Firmware version 21.2.045 Tried switching phone to offline mode, disconnecting and reconnecting phone and nothing happens.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter synching my Outlook 2010 x64 calender items to my mobile (Nokia 6300) with Nokia Ovi suite 2.2.0.245, the detail info (notes) on my appointments are gone in outlook. Really sucks, because all connection details of web meetings and so on, are lost.
Secondly, Nokia Ovi suite has no GUI for the calendar like PC Suite did, to see the calendar details. You can sync calendar items, but there is no way to manage them like the contacts/photo's. The sync statistics do not tell what exactly had been updated. Just the object count of updates nothing more.
I had to create a new Outlook profile, but Ovi kept syncing the old one.I changed the name of the new profile to "Outlook": Now sync doesn't work anymore ("Sync. aborted - Please reconnect you phone").How can I fix this?
